YET YALL SCHEDULED HER FOR WHATEVER YOU WANTED. ALSO, Just got the insurance EOB in the mail. Yall charged them for Eye AND MEDICAL EXAM. Yet we couldnt discuss the floaters or some of the other findings? Yeah right!!!! Seems like the doctor was just in a rush/bad mood. You should talk to Dr Pilcher about her bedside manner. Im not the only one who's complaining in these reviews about her rudeness and wanting to rush. If she doesnt like her job she should find a new one. If she is in such a rush she shouldve taken the day off. Knocked off another star. NEVER coming back. Im gonna make sure people know to steer clear of this place. Rude Dr and dishonest billing. Dr Pilcher is kind of rude not going to lie. First when she came in, she said Its Chaos out there. Didnt introduce herself. Not very personable. Seemed like she was in a major rush. Kept saying come on really loud when my elderly mom was trying to read the eye chart. When my mom would say she couldnt read it, her response was yes you can When I asked about the floaters in her eye (which was the main reason we came) She said thats medical you need to schedule a medical appointment to talk about that. I asked her some questions about the pictures of her eye which she did answer thoroughly. Then she rushed out of the room and told us to check out out front. Dont know if the doctor was having a bad day or what. Im not really sure if Im going to come back, she was pretty rude. Needs to be talked to about bedside manner. Sorry we were such a bother.

Dr. Karen Johnson is a competent and caring Optometrist as I saw her for a visit two years ago. On…read moremy second visit today, I didn't make it past the front desk. As I was checking in, an unfriendly front office staff member asked whether I wanted the $39 retinal scan with my eye exam. I did want the scan, but my insurance copay was supposed to be $20, or at least that's what it said in my paperwork. She didn't offer any explanation, didn't offer to call my insurance, or even check with the doctor. She coldly stared at me and waited for my response. I decided I would find another doctor. There was no recovery attempt at all. I see in the Yelp reviews that I am not the only one who feels they weren't treated with respect by the front office staff. I want to update my review. Although I wasn't treated with respect, the information that Eye Concepts received from my insurance company did specify that I could be charged $39. This is in contrast to what my employer states ($20 copay). It wasn't Eye Concepts fault, rather an issue I need to take up with my employer.

I brought in a pair of glasses today that I bought in 2023. I fell asleep in them and they were all bent out of shape. I showed up at 530pm and just walked in. They had them adjusted and perfect in 20 minutes.

I decided to try a new vision center. I won't be going back…read more They were friendly when I called and asked about pricing, scheduled my appointment. Today when I came in it was clear they had overbooked, I waited just over 30 minutes before going back. The optometrist was nice enough, but definitely didn't waste any time with small talk, which was fine. The exam took less than ten minutes in total. Then I go to check out, and find out that in addition to my insurance being billed, the cash portion I would have to pay was 30% more than what was quoted me. Oh, it's because I have contacts. Most people just want a glasses exam they tell me. That's why my cash portion was more expensive. It surely just slipped their mind to ask me if I wore contacts when I asked for the cost. I understand that I may not be the normal customer as I have had a cataract removed. But what if I didn't have some insurance? You think it's okay to not inform me and just charge me more for whatever you did to look at it? And in what other industry is it just okay to do the work and then expect the customer to willingly pay 30% more than the quoted price? To not talk this over with customers is unacceptable and feels not far from theft.
