I lost my glasses while here on vacation. They got me in to see the Doctor the next day. In a twist of fate it was good that I had to have a new exam because she discovered I had a pretty bad cataract. She explained that I would be wasting my money to get new glasses until the cataract is removed. I was very happy with their service and explanations. read more

I mistakenly made an appointment with Pearson Eye Group because they are in the same mall as Visionworks (the office I had used 3 years prior) So I arrive at Visionworks. Quickly we figure out that I've made my appointment with Pearson and not them. Prepared to just forgo my appointment with Pearson and make a new appointment with Visionworks, I inform them the reason for my visit (Glaucoma check) and ask them if they have my old records to compare my next visit with. Thier answer: "We have you on file but your records are in storage". I'm not sure what that means. Are they still using manilla folders and file cabinets? Do they have a unit at Uncle Bob's Storage? Quickly I realize I want to keep my appointment with Pearson. So I appolgize for the interuption and ask them where Pearson EyeCare is. The "wrong" Optometrist ended up being the "right" one. I don't have insurance and the price for a full exam was extremely reasonable. My family is predisposed to Glaucoma and Diabetes and I fear blindness more than death itself. Dr. Hagstrom picked up on this, and explained every test (and the results) AND...Even though I had my retinal scan done (which was probably more than adequate) she also dialated my pupils and inspected each eye herself. Long story ... L O N G E R ... I get home thinking my eye pressure was in the 90 range as that was the readings I got off one of the tests. Through google I learned that 20 was a normal pressure. A tad bit panicked I called late Friday and left a message asking for clarification. Dr. Hagstrom called me herself the following morning (a Saturday) and put me at ease and explained that the readings of "90" that I remebered were another unit of measurement for a different kind of test. She gave me my eye pressure readings and they were in fact 20 in each eye (which is normal yay!) So yeah. I'll be back in a year for my Glaucoma check. Thankyou! read more

Pearson Eye Care was recommended by Decot Sport Glasses when I was looking at their prescription safety glasses. Booked a Sunday exam which really surprised me. They are in the Fiesta Mall which requires they open on Sundays. I received a more through exam than expected. The optometrist checked distance and ran the same process at reading distance. Also took picture and 3D scan of each eye to look for medical issues and create a baseline record. This office also offers a specialized exam for gun owners. It is important to see gun sights clearly. They have a replica gun to hold while measuring focus on the sights. I received three prescriptions for daily wear, computer use and shooters glasses. The doctor discussed what he found in the scans and during the multi part exams. I was very impressed by the use of technology in the office. Medical history and insurance info forms are filled out online before arriving for appointment. They have laptop computers for walk ins to fill in the forms. Exam results and pictures were sent to my primary physician. Great experience. read more

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! DO NOT GO THERE! Before my visit got started I made it clear to all the medical people at the front desk that I only wanted to get services that my insurance covers. I do not want to pay anything out of pocket other than a co pay. The doctor does a eye exam without me knowing they do a contact exam. At the end of the visit they tell me if I do not buy contacts from them then I have to pay for my own exam. They never told me this option before the exam after I told them I do not want any services that requires paying out of pocket. now they are refusing to give me my prescription! My insurance plan pays 100% of both exams. Now they want me to pay out of pocket and they are forcing me to buy their contacts that I never wanted because they are overpriced! The doctor recommended I wear glasses. They are trying to scam people out of their benefits forcing people to buy their overpriced contacts and pay out of pocket. That is a service I never wanted if I have to pay im trying to get the best price for my glasses. The dr. recommended Glasses anyway. They need to make people aware of this charge or choice before doing the exams. read more

Around 2011 I was a patient here. A front desk employee was extremely snotty towards me. Even though I'd had a wonderful and long relationship with Dr. Wyman, she sided with the immature employee. Apparently there was no possibility that their employee might have issues, but Dr. Wyman was willing to to assume that a patient she knew very well was suddenly a problem ? Dr. Wyman should have known from all her past experience with me that if an issue comes up it won't be from me, as we got along really well. I'm a particularly old-school polite person. How much do I love Dr Wyman and Pearson Eyecare? Well, I've been coming to see Dr Wyman for at least 15 years...basically since I started wearing glasses and contacts and she is by far the best optometrist I've ever been to. I felt like I was a nuisance to the entire staff. My initial appointment was scheduled, by their people, for 1:00. I got a frantic call the morning of the exam saying that there must have "been a misunderstanding" (implying it was my fault) that 1:00 was the optometrist's lunch period. OMG. So I agreed to move my appointment up. I arrived on time and then waited and waited. When they called me, I felt very rushed and unimportant. The young girl that gave me my "machine exams" was in a big hurry, talked too fast and not clearly. Dr. Nix was a whirl during my exam. She was in a very big hurry. What's worse is they keep telling me I can come pick up " trials " I don't want the stupid trials I want what I ordered and paid for ! If this is not resolved soon I am going to the BBB , attorney general and taking it up as far as I have to . This company has charged me for eye exam that my insurance pays for. They also charged insurance company for same amount. I was reimbursed through my insurance company and they are trying to get that also. They did not tell me until i walked out of the exam room that they were charging me so I paid them. I contacted the insurance company and was asked if I had two(2) exams that day. I told them i did not. They said they were charging twice for one exam. I had to go back several times and the prescription was still off and it messed up my vision. Do not trust these people they are not truthful and steal for the insurance companies with cause our rates to increase. read more
