The grilled chicken salad was delicious. The veggies were super fresh and crisp. The fries are shoestring fries, and seasoned. I also had a side of baked beans. I had the Mandi dog, with Cole slaw and thousand island dressing. I also had the small portion of pasta salad which was pretty good also. It was a little on the salty side but I did not mind it. The customer service was great, even though you order first and then sit down, someone came to our table to see how we were doing after we got our food. They had a good amount of seating with bar seating where you could watch them cook, and by the window. As well as community seating with a large table and several booths near the back of the restaurant. The only thing that bothered me was that they did not have a changing table in the women's bathroom which made it hard to change my daughter's diaper. Otherwise everything was pretty good.

As for me the Spicy Sausage Omelette was really really good. The sausage had a bite of heat but nothing crazy. Not sure what they used but don't stop - it was that good. We both also had Sweet Teas. We were warned from the start - they are dark and REAL sweet. Which for me was perfect. As for the service: there was one lady (dam forgot her name) taking care of all the guest and she did great. When I say taking care of - I mean everything. Bussing tables, sitting folks, taking orders, and cashing out. Again she was wonderful! The place is neat just like many have said before me. Old 80's type stuff on the walls and tables. Now let me address something that some past Yelpers clearly have an issue with. There are small indications of the owners political views within the location. Nothing crazy at all and unless you really look for it you won't notice. Some past yelpers I who clearly don't agree used this to bust down their Yelp review. That's ridiculous. If the owner wants to voice their opinion- they have every right. It's their place - with their money on the line and their time vested. They clearly treated every guest wonderfully and that's all you should really focused on. So looking for a very good meal (breakfast) at a nice little joint - go on in and enjoy. I'm sure we will be back and might even shoot for the lunch menu next time.

But there are numerous 80's themed posters on the wall. Our breakfast was incredible. I had the Portuguese sausage omelette which was absolutely amazing. My wife had their pancake offering which was huge and very tasty according to her. Prices were VERY reasonable and the service was superb. If you're ever in Suffolk, come here to fill your bellies!

Oh my goodness, we were so surprised with the presentation as well as the taste. The grits tasted fresh, large serving and seasoned well. Those jumbo shrimp were so perfect sitting on top of the grits. So pleasantly delighted with the amount of shrimp too. Usually, some places only want to give you 3-4 (small or medium shrimp). The restaurant has a cool retro 1970s vibe with vintage colors, an old cigarette machine, and Bewitched playing on the TV, which made for a unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience was a little inconsistent. We arrived with a party of four but were seated at a table with only three chairs. When we pointed it out, the host didn't seem to realize the problem at first, which was an odd start to the meal. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. She let us know they were out of the home fries and another menu item before we ordered, which wasn't a big issue. However, it took close to 40 minutes for our food to arrive. My son ordered a burger that was advertised with fried mac and cheese on top, but when it came out, the mac and cheese was missing. Only after we asked were we told they had run out. It would have been helpful to know that before we ordered. The server apologized and offered to make something else, but it would have taken another 30 minutes, so we decided to keep the burger as it was. She ended up removing it from the bill entirely, which we appreciated. We also tipped her based on the original total because she handled the situation well. The food was good. I enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich with pear, Brie, and honey, and my husband liked his French dip. That said, we felt the prices were on the high side for the overall experience, especially considering the long wait, unavailable menu items, and other service issues. Overall, MOD Olive has a fun concept and an interesting menu, but the restaurant could have been cleaner, communication could have been better, and the value didn't quite match the price. We'd be willing to give it another try in the future, but we're hoping for a more polished experience next time.

My husband and I visited here for Cindo de Mayo and I'm sure as many other places it was standing room only... we did wait close to 2 hours to be seated but I must say all in all it was worth it! I ordered the shrimp quesadilla minus the onions and my husband decided to get tacos... 1. shredded chicken taco 2. a ground beef taco and 3. A shrimp taco. He enjoyed every last one of them! My quesadilla was great as welI. I also ordered a large fresh margarita (La Flaca) and I was only able to finish half of my quesadilla. Nevertheless this place definitely knows how to deliver Superior customer service. The Ambiance is already lovely from the outside to the inside and the food I think it's very good, very good. If you're looking for a Mexican place to try that's located in Suffolk definitely add this one to your list. We have dined at the bar before as well as the seating in the dining area and both Services equally 10 out of 10. Parking never been an issue. There are a few parking spaces up front but there's plenty parking on the side ... Definitely worth a visit. Have fun and enjoy life. :)

I will be back again…read more For the most part this place was pretty good. We just came back from seeing the Lion King so the time is about 11:00 p.m. I know I wasn't going home to cook so my daughter suggested we come here for a late night snack. Well in my case I wanted more than a snack. The parking lot as well as inside it was well lit so the Ambiance definitely gave safe and not a hole in the wall type Vibe so definitely pleased with that. It was a little busy as far as patrons inside eating but there was no wait in line Which was a good thing. After looking at the menu for a few minutes I decided on a rice bowl and chose the chicken and shrimp Rice Bowl as well as a garden salad with only lettuce cucumber and cheese. My daughter wanted the honey Ole Bay garlic Wings something to that sort which came with fries and Mom just wanted a side of fries. The bill came up to a little less than $50 ... crazy but that's what we get for stepping out late at night and wanted something convenient so I get that we were paying for convenience all fine and well. Our order was ready in less than 15 minutes even though the guy told us it would be a 15 minute wait. I want to say the food was ready in about 12 minutes which was okay. We drove about 10 minutes away and I began to dive in immediately the food was super hot as far as temperature and overall it was good. I don't think I would get it with the rice again but I would definitely order it again. The chicken was good the shrimp was good cabbage was a bit Tangy but it was okay it wasn't nothing that I couldn't stomach again. My daughter loved hers but every time she goes there she gets the same thing. I did taste some fries... just okay but I'm good on the fries. Nevertheless I would recommend you come here at least to try it out. The menu is massive so it should be something for everyone to try from vegetarian or not. Parking plentiful even though it's located inside of a shopping plaza us arriving 11:30 p.m. at night on a Saturday it was no parking issues at all and I'm sure during daylight hours you wouldn't have an issue as well. You can very well call your order in or place an order online but because this is my first time I ended up waiting until we got to the restaurant to place my order. All in all try them out especially if it's close to the midnight hour and you didn't want to pull up to somebody's drive-thru. If you're in the area definitely check them out. Have fun and enjoy life ;)

It was run down and always had higher prices compared to the Raceway (RW) up the road. A few months ago, the old gas station was demolished, and now we have the 711. Since I drive by often, I've been watching their progress, and today I saw the big "Now Open" sign. So, what did I do? I grabbed my oldest son, and we went over there to check it out. The 711 is much bigger than the older Exxon, but still smaller compared to RW. (I apologize, but I will end up comparing to RW since it's close by and the place most people go to for gas.) 711 has only 8 pumps although plenty of space for maneuvering. Currently, their gas prices are the same as RW, but we shall see if that will change over time. (The 711 location on Godwin has higher prices.) The parking lot is still busy with construction, but I'm sure that will be over soon. The interior of the building is kind of small and cramped. It didn't help that a few employees were working on the floor. One of the staff was using a scanner and it felt like everywhere I went, there she was. I don't like crowds anyway, but it's kind of annoying when employees are making things worse. I didn't get a friendly feeling from the large amount of staff. Most of the items there are fast food junk items and, of course, the ever-popular Slurpee; I did see some healthier choices like nuts, fruit, and yogurt-based dip with pretzels. 711 isn't Wawa, but I'm sure many customers will visit just for the Slurpee. Will *I* be stopping by? Well, I probably will as long as the price is competitive with RW. It's definitely a big improvement over the old Exxon.
