We have seen this place get renovated a couple times now and the management is getting better and better with giving the people what they want. Although I do miss the pool towels being freely available by the pool area, there are plenty of better benefits added to compensate for that. Watching a movie while in the jacuzzi, the fun games around the office, and the cold snacks on some days are a nice touch. The renovated rooms are definitely the best part of coming to this place, the golf course nearby and the deer make it feel peaceful and quiet. We will continue to come to this place couple of times a year as long as it's maintained and keeps on improving.

It was just in me to write a review before leaving today From day one, we found ourselves having to ask for basic items that we normally expect to already be provided. There was no dish soap or hand soap when we arrived. On day two, we had to ask for coffee creamers, and we also had to request laundry detergent and no extra trash bags. It became a recurring theme throughout our stay -- constantly having to ask for things that we felt should have been available from the beginning. There was also a frustrating miscommunication with the sales/marketing team. The presentation was supposed to be for my folks, but there seemed to be a lack of verification regarding the names and who was actually supposed to participate. The sales approach was quite aggressive, and it could have been an embarrassing situation if we had shown up without realizing we didn't qualify. Fortunately, I double-checked with the concierge beforehand and was able to clear things up. The give aways are definitely eye catching but family time and peace of mind is priceless to me and my family. We are one of those that prefers quality time over business time As for the room, flies were definitely an issue. We expected to see some given the location, but there were quite a few around our room. And while eating at the patio, no courtesy to checking on 1st floor residence, there was a guy vacuuming above us with all the mess and leaves and dirt hitting our breakfast foods and us. I had to yell out to stop it. That said, there are definitely positives. The view is amazing. We had deer hanging out practically right on our patio, which was such a cool experience and probably one of the highlights of the stay. The resort also has a lot of amenities -- basketball, movies, pool tables, games, a coffee shop, swimming pools, and plenty for families to do. We were especially looking forward to the kids' pool because our 20-month-old daughter has recently become obsessed with swimming. The pool was warm and heated, which she absolutely loved. So, while there are some great things about WorldMark Angels Camp -- especially the beautiful surroundings, wildlife, and variety of amenities -- the service and the repeated need to request basic supplies really took away from the experience for us. Of all the timeshare locations we've stayed at, this would probably be our least favorite so far. The amenities and scenery are great, but the service and attention to the basics need improvement

Here's what I wrote to the owners after we left: I cannot express to you how happy we were with our trip and your home was a major part of that! To be honest, the pictures online do not do justice to show the amount of space we had. I LOVED all the labels and how easy it made everything (TVs, refrigerator, garbage, etc.) to use. All of the outlets and modernization in that aspect were awesome. We all had so much fun in the game room and many hours were spent there with our kids. Our son, 8, loves all things video games and it was a treat to show him games we used to play when we were kids. The walk to the lake was easy. And, oh man, that little lake. What an ideal spot for our family. Our youngest is 3 and we felt so comfortable in that environment for all of our kids. We met your neighbor, Doug, and had some good chats with him. What a guy! Your binder with information was heavily used. We managed to get out and about a little bit: Columbia for gold panning, Lyons Reservoir, Fraser Flats, Pinecrest, my husband even made it way up Sonora Pass for a hike in the snow, while we soaked in the 80 degree weather. Unfortunately our fishing skills are lacking and we didn't catch dinner, but we still had fun trying. I will (and already have) share your rental with anyone looking and we hope to be back in the future. Our kids did not want to come home...we took them to Kauai last year and they didn't say that when we left there. Thanks for making such a magical place available to the masses. This is a family vacation we will never forget.

Bring something to float on for a thoroughly relaxing experience! Our family is the outdoor type, but I was surprised how often we gravitated down to the arcade room for some fun competition. The cabin was clean, and everyone said that their beds were comfortable. Everything we needed to cook for a crowd was available including 2 coffee pots to accommodate our caffeine and decaf preferences at the same time. The owner, Eric, did a great job communicating with us and making sure that everything was going well. Neighbors were friendly, too. If you're expecting a luxury hotel with granite counter tops, this is not the place to come. If you want a relaxing, comfortable, and peaceful place to vacation with access to amazing outdoor activities, I definitely recommend this. That being said, let me tell you a few gems that we experienced while we were there... We drove up to Pine Crest Lake (probably about 20-25 minute drive from the cabin) and spent several hours hiking around the lake. There's a nice beach and picnic area, too, if you're not into the hiking. It's a beautiful area that reminded me a lot of Tahoe. We also went to Big Trees (an hour drive from the cabin). The North Grove of the park is impressive, I'm sure, but we drove down to the less travelled South Grove and had a great day of hiking while viewing some amazing trees (up to 25 feet diameter). A third adventure I would highly recommend is the Natural Bridges trail (about half way to Big Trees or 30 min from the cabin). The trail is about 1 mile long and takes you to a stream that goes through a cave. Bring your floaties so that you can float into the cave! What a treat! And a stop in the old gold mining town of Columbia for ice cream on the way home topped the day off. Great family vacation spot! Thanks, Eric!

The bar is impressive and a great way to be greeted. There is seating available if you want to grab a bite to eat while you indulge in a handcrafted cocktail. The entrance leads to an amazing outdoor area with a courtyard, lots of seating and more bar areas. There is an upstairs area that has views of Sonora, but also overlooks the outdoor area which is great for people watching. The Armory is family and dog friendly and it was great to see families and their fur babies enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. The menu has great appetizers to share, salads and bowls, tacos, sandwiches, and satisfying pastas + a delicious short rib plate. The drink menu is extensive - they have an impressive variety of barrel-aged bourbons, Irish whiskeys, scotch, rye, tequila, and mezcal and quite the selection of beers on tap, in bottles, and in cans. The wine list will have something for everyone. And the cocktails all looked amazing! We had the smoked pork nachos, ahi poke bowl, and the Rodeo Burger. Everything was tasty and came out quickly. The Armory is a must try!

The mojito was on the lighter side but still very refreshing with nice flavor. I would definitely get this again. The Chicken Fajita Bowl was soooo good. Chicken was perfectly prepared. Juicy and bite sized pieces made it easy to consume. Definitely wished there was more chicken in this dish but price was awesome so I guess it worked out. Kids size chicken tender was pretty significant. This is enough for two kids to share. The waffle cut fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The guys in the kitchen know magic or something. Overall a great experience. Veey friendly staff that mostly left you alone to enjoy but still checked in occasionally.
