Booking online was a breeze. I got the entry code a week prior to us coming. This place was immaculate! The outside balcony was where we spent most of our time relaxing and people watching . This home was fully stocked and I mean with everything you would need. The bedroom had a memory foam bed and it was so comfortable!!! The room has a beautiful window bubble to let the light in. The bathroom is very small so be aware if you are a larger person you probably won't fit. I am 5'10 and the wall was right against my face. We rented a newly available rental home for Irish day weekend for my family. Our home was comfortable and accommodated 7 adults and 1 toddler perfectly. It was our meeting place central and the layout was ideal in preparing our family dinner since the restaurants were packed. Plenty of amenities. The location was in close walking distance to Main Street. We had no problem with communications and they were so kind enough to mail back my eyeglasses that I left behind. The only thing was that particular location required a 2 day minimum. So it can be pricy if you're only seeking a 1 night stay. Regardless, all enjoyed our home away from home. Terrible experience, we rented one of the higher-end properties in their portfolio, the Hill Top House with a Pool.. It started off poorly when I was not provided with access code to enter the property and went downhill from there.. They are trying to claim we damaged a property when we did not, the screen door had a hole in it when we arrived.. I would take pictures of every little thing is wrong with their properties upon check in to cover yourself. read more

Had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here and it was perfect. So close to Main Street and wineries galore.

The cottage we stayed in was quite sweet but the heat didn't work and I had to walk around wearing multiple layers and a hat. I refrained from showering 2 of the 3 days we were there because I didn't want that unbearable chill. I suspect they knew about the failed heating system because there were two space heaters even though there were heating vents throughout the house. I just wish they would have made an effort to fix the system. It wasn't exactly inexpensive to stay there. Now if the heat hadn't been an issue I'd give this cottage another star or two. It's very spacious and has many charming features. The location is great since the Main Street is a block away. So nice to not have to move the car. But if the owners read these reviews I'd like to suggest getting a better couch in the living room. I had to use the cushions to sit on because the couch is old and kind of sinks down even with my 105-lb body. Can't imagine what would happen with a 200-lb man. read more

We just stayed at the Hilltop Pool House and had a wonderful time. We had six adults and two children and the house could not have been better. It was clean and well appointed and the pool was just amazing. As you know sometimes pictures can make things look better than they really are but in this case the picture of the patio and pool does not really do them justice. The pool is large, the patio is large and the view is even larger. It was warm while we were there and of course there was the smoke from the fires but it was still fantastic and the air conditioning in the house worked very well. Working with Anna was a breeze, she kept us informed at all times and even checked in with us when the power went out for a few minutes. Worst customer service experience. My husband and I have been renting homes through Murphys Vacation Rentals for years. We've come to learn that your NOT guaranteed your request and when they have multiple request they don't go with the first person. Instead they choose who they want to rent the homes to. The first time I tried renting a home for Murphys Irish weekend we were told that even though we were the first to reserve a particular home that we would NOT be given it because it's saved for someone who gets it every year (people they know). Even though that was a horrible experience we decided to give them another chance so, we continued renting homes through them until yesterday. My husband put in for a request on the last available home about 10:30 pm on Monday night for this weekend for a one night stay. At 9:33 am we received an email from Nikki stating... We have received your reservation for the Gathering Place. That is a weekend and we have a two night minimum. Can you add a night to your reservation? If it is still available on Friday we can offer it to you for the one night only. Kindly, Nikki At 9:42 am, just 9 minutes after the original email we received another email stating.... I am so sorry but the Gathering Place has been rented. Kindly, Nikki I called Nikki multiple times until she called me back stating that the homes are listed on multiple sites so, she decided to give it to the other person. It seemed that she was all ready to argue when she called me back. She continued by blaming us for not requesting a 2 night stay even though their website allowed us to put in for a one night stay. Niki was extremely rude and condescending when she told me that our request was late in the evening and she doesn't stay at the office all night. She was just trying to push the blame instead of apologizing for her MISTAKE (even though I don't believe it was a true mistake given she has done this to us before).We had no problem adding an additional night. She then went on to say that there's nothing she can do because she's already given the home to someone who requested two nights and even though we WERE INDEED the FIRST to send the request we won't get it. I asked why she only gave us 9 min to respond to her original email and she had no answer. I also asked why they request our telephone number if they don't use it to call us before giving the home to someone else and again no response she just continued to blame us. I told her I will cancel all future reservations and she responded with a well make sure you notify me in advance. My husband also called her to resolve the situation, but all Niki wanted to do was raise her voice and argue. This is not a fair establishment and they treat their customers very poorly. They claim to not be prejudiced and that their homes are on a first come first serve basis, but it's a lie. Go through them if you want a 50/50 chance at a home or to argue. We have cancelled all future rentals through them and we'll NEVER go through them again even though they manage a lot of homes. There are man many homes in Murphys that people rent out for the same prices if not cheaper. Here's a list of all their homes to stay away from. Happy to be the first reviewer and give this place 5 stars! We rented the Church Street Cottage for our wedding weekend... ADORABLE! We had considered renting a hotel room, which would have been double the price and much smaller, until we found these cottages! The Church street cottage (and most of their other cottages) is located right off of main street. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room area and a full kitchen! The Cottage also had a great back deck area with stairs leading down to a yard with tables and a barbecue. It was perfect! We rented the Cabin for a weekend. Very charming. Like all the other reviewers have said, GREAT location. Two minutes from Main Street, lined with wine tasting places and a handful of restaurants and cute little shops. The furnishing is adequate. The only potentially negative thing is that the shower is really small. Think of the smallest elevator you've ever stepped into...then halve that. Stayed in "The Cabin" in July...it was excellent! Very clean, perfect for 1-2 people, the location could not have been better. Literally a 1 minute walk from downtown Murphys (it's right behind the strip). A/C worked great! If there's a group staying in the Cottage next door it would be a little awkward to hang out on the Cabin's patio because the backyard is basically shared. Customer service was awesome - I got into town earlier than I expected and they let me check in early because the cabin was available. Can't wait to go back...I may even schedule my trips around the availability of the Cabin. read more

WE LOVE MURPHY'S VACATION RENTALS!!!! We have stayed with them numerous times including our wedding weekend when we got married at the Murphy's Hotel. We have stayed 3 times in The little Yellow cottage (Our Favorite) and twice in the BIg Red House (great for larger parties) and once in the church street cottage. All were fantastic in their own charming way. This is the best deal for lodging in Murphy's by far. The places are quiet and super well kept. My husband and I have been waiting over two weeks for a call or response from the management for the Cabana. We stayed on October 1st to celebrate our Anniversary. Our first and only night, we were not able to take a shower due to the lack of water pressure, and warm water. Anna responded to our Emergency call the next morning when we communicated that the shower had no water pressure and no hot water. We paid $203 for a Sunday-Monday stay. We inconveniently had to pack our things and get ready somewhere else that wasn't nearly as nice as what we paid for. Anna told us we would receive a discount due to the unfixed damages. We were charged full price for a place we did not fully enjoy or use the amenities in. The shower at the NEW location started off very warm then went cold just as I started washing my hair. By then, we had already been relocated but Anna said she would compensate our stay, we didn't want to be "those people" and Anna seemed friendly and honorable to keep her word. No one has responded to our e-mails, our phone calls. And now, I am very displeased by the lack of communication. Our biggest mistake was trusting and believing the owner/manager of this property. Today is October 16th, 2017. We stayed there on October 1st. Anna, Nikki, if you are reading this, we have sent several e-mails to the address info@murphysvacationrentals.com. We have tried calling the phone number (209) 736-9372 and that too has been unsuccessful. You guys had no problem helping us book the place, or take our money, have the courtesy to respond to good honest people who work hard for their money. Wow!! Love, love, love!! "Raspberry Cottage" at Greenhorn Creek Resort in Angels Camp!! It was exceptional! Perfect for the 4 of us (2 couples). 2 extra large master bedrooms, with large on suites in both!! Large open living area and kitchen. The view from the back deck was on the 9th fairway (?) and secluded enough that you could not see any other cottages!! Home was nicely furnished and very clean (bonus). Usually stay in Jamestown and drive to area restaurants, towns, etc. Not anymore... bonus that while staying here my husband received a discount on his round of golf (course was also impressive) as was the restaurant "Camps". Would highly recommend and would give more stars if possible! Wish we could have stayed longer!! Can't wait to book again!! read more

My wife and I usually rent the "Little Yellow Cottage," while vacationing in Murphys. But, it was already booked for the 2015 Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Instead, we stayed for the first time in the "Hideaway Cottage" for three nights to celebrate Thanksgiving. The affordable cottage is more of a one-room studio apartment, which is a 1 1/2 mile drive to downtown Murphys. It features a full kitchen, comfortable queen bed, small living room, adequate bathroom and a separate washer/dryer laundry room. It was a nice size for just the two of us. The room is nicely decorated and very clean. But, there is no closet to hang your clothes (other than a few wall hooks) and bring your own cork-screw wine bottle opener. Although the Little Yellow Cottage is larger, a bit costlier and a short walk to downtown Murphys, we would stay again in the Hideaway Cottage. read more

We stayed at night owl last weekend when Toby Keith was at the ironstone amphitheater. Will Murphy's swell to 10,000 and the night owl is right across the street from Murphy's Historic Hotel. I was afraid it would be very noisy at night cause that Hotel gets rowdy! But I was very wrong! The night owl was the best! Just right for two people. Has everything you need and a huge Patio! The only one thing is the bathroom. Actually not the bathroom itself but the shower is super tiny! Hard time shaving your legs. But otherwise super! And it is pet friendly! read more

It was perfect, the bedroom makes you feel like you are sleeping in the tree tops. it backed up to forest and had a wrap around porch with a bbq, which was perfect for us because we like to make our own food sometimes. it was very private, but still close to town. If your ever in the town of Murphys you need to stay in one of Murphys Vacation Rentals . We had booked a room on line at the Travel Lodge in Angels Camp. When we arrived we and went into the office to check in we looked around , talked to the office staff and decided "yuck" and walked out. But kept our reservation " just in case we couldn't find another place. After a day of exploring we decided we better figure out what we were going to do. As we were driving through Murphys we saw Murphys Vacation rental sign. I quickly called them and fit us in last minute ! Pam is an amazing lady who went way beyond to help us !!! Her customer service is awesome ! When we got to our rental it was absolutely beautiful and breath taking. Both inside and out were kept up . We recently stayed at the cottage for a weekend to meet a group of friends for a birthday party. We honestly had the best lodging of anyone in our group. The cottage was spacious, comfortable, clean and very conveniently located walking distance to downtown. It is a quiet lodging in a residential neighborhood. The yards are beautifully landscaped. The rooms consist of a living room, bedroom and spacious bathroom. In the living room there are couches and a table as well as a small fridge and Keurig. Once we parked we didn't have to drive anywhere all weekend. There is a natural foods store within walking distance as well as many wine tasting rooms and restaurants. read more

They are extremely clean and well appointed, comfy and relaxing. We love the course of Greenhorn Creek (although, sometimes the course plays very slow). We stayed in the Parkside Cottage and found it to be better than anticipated. There are two bedrooms, two baths, a fully stocked kitchen, and living room with gas fireplace/heater. The cottage was very clean, and has a deck with table and chairs. There is a barbecue, and the back gate opens to a cute park with a running creek. We were only minutes from Main Street with wine tasting, restaurants and shops as well. What a delightful place to go for a nice way to relax and just enjoy yourself. Seven of us girlfriends rented the Gallery House in October 2016. The house was fantastic!!! We had a lot of room to sit and visit, sleeping was great too. Three beds downstairs and two bigger ones upstairs. This house had everything we needed or would ever want. Very nice deck outside with plenty of outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy your wine and cheese. We cooked breakfast and one dinner at the house and stocked with more than enough dishes etc. It's very clean and well taken care of. Holy moly! We rented a house for a girls' weekend and not only was the house super cute & had tons of room for us ladies, the staff are amazingly accomodating! The location of the house was perfect, was adorably decorated & had comfy beds & couches. The keyless entry is so convenient! The staff are super friendly and helpful. Spent 4 days in the Church Street cottage for our daughter's wedding last weekend and completely were bowled over by how wonderful of a time we had. Our cottage was centrally located to the venue where the reception took place and right across the street from the church. The cottage was simply cute and cozy.
