Weird. Copperopolis is a real estate developer invented "town". This is a brand new "downtown oldtown" and then empty unsold lots. Stopped, had lunch, will review the restaurant separately to respect the pleasant attentive staff........but do not be fooled by Google maps that this is an Old West Town! Ha! Best part is the Old Hotel where if you look through the front doors all you see is empty space out the back doors and grass. Should be in a movie from the 80's.

A perfect spot for a weekend getaway or a girls trip. Stay at the Gateway Hotel where modern day and meets the gold rush. Then step outside and enjoy the town Square. While strolling along visit the art gallery and the boutiques. You can start your day with breakfast at Baldi's. Then a lunch at Gold Dust Pizza. Time to relax at The Tipsy Frog enjoying wines from around the world. Then finish the night with dinner at Griffs, Barbecue and Grill. Don't forget to stop in at Coppers Java and enjoy a coffee or ice cream.

This is a cute town square modeled after Back to the Future. It features concerts in September and a variety of other events during the year. Gold Dust Pizza and the coffee shop are my favorite spots. The ice cream shop is good too. The square is mostly quiet and not a lot going on and many stores have weird hours, but the events such as the September concerts bring hundreds of people. If you're in the area and want gas, pizza, coffee, or ice cream it's worth a quick stop. I hope they bring a grocery store there or something to bring in more business.

However, we did view the room and the pool. Rooms are really nice, modern and clean. Pool area is a short walk away on the next block. Most impressive was the young hotel front desk clerk who was keeping it together in spite of a widespread power outage. ZOE! Awesome customer service and I personally witnessed her handle multiple complaints with grace. However, the square has a bit of an uncanny valley vibe which I'm sure was exacerbated by the lack of power (and people) - there was nobody around - so I don't think we would return? Like a... I didn't sleep for two nights. The halls and even the rooms reeked of weed, and management clearly doesn't care or can't control it. If you're hoping for a peaceful night or traveling with kids, forget it. The blinds? Useless. They barely block any light, so don't expect to sleep in. And if you're hoping for a nice view to make up for it, prepare to stare at a gas station. This place is a loud, smelly disappointment. Now I get why this area keeps going bankrupt. There's zero pride in service or hospitality here. Plenty of better places nearby--don't waste your time or money here.

We left at 630 for a 2 hour drive so we could have breakfast at Copper Valley restaurant. They don't serve breakfast on Thursdays. We will take the blame for that as we assumed a golf resort would serve breakfast. Then we played at 11 really hot and windy behind a group that took 5 hours but the worst part was on a hole that was a dog leg I had a blind shot to the green. We waited all day until the group was way off the green to hit. I pulled my 8 iron left of the green and landed about 10 yards from the group in their cart. The member got out of his cart picked my ball up and threw it in the weeds. Never seen that before. We finished and had a beer and went to out 2 bedroom condo. We had 2. Our friends condo had no air conditioning and were miserable all night and decided not to play the 2nd day. So our twosome went over to get a quick breakfast before our tee time at 8. No luck breakfast not served until 8. All in all we decided that $500 would be better spent elsewhere. By the way we had dinner and it was average but expensive. My recommendation is pass on Copper Valley and go somewhere else.

There was a waffle station and your customary cold cereals, muffins, yogurt, etc. Heat and eat breakfast sandwiches and burritos in place of standard eggs, sausage, B&G. There is also a huge parking area in the back to accommodate RV's and large trailers. I have several photos but they're already on the yelp pics by others. Check out the shower pic! We have seen this place get renovated a couple times now and the management is getting better and better with giving the people what they want. Although I do miss the pool towels being freely available by the pool area, there are plenty of better benefits added to compensate for that. Watching a movie while in the jacuzzi, the fun games around the office, and the cold snacks on some days are a nice touch. The renovated rooms are definitely the best part of coming to this place, the golf course nearby and the deer make it feel peaceful and quiet. We will continue to come to this place couple of times a year as long as it's maintained and keeps on improving.

It was just in me to write a review before leaving today From day one, we found ourselves having to ask for basic items that we normally expect to already be provided. There was no dish soap or hand soap when we arrived. On day two, we had to ask for coffee creamers, and we also had to request laundry detergent and no extra trash bags. It became a recurring theme throughout our stay -- constantly having to ask for things that we felt should have been available from the beginning. There was also a frustrating miscommunication with the sales/marketing team. The presentation was supposed to be for my folks, but there seemed to be a lack of verification regarding the names and who was actually supposed to participate. The sales approach was quite aggressive, and it could have been an embarrassing situation if we had shown up without realizing we didn't qualify. Fortunately, I double-checked with the concierge beforehand and was able to clear things up. The give aways are definitely eye catching but family time and peace of mind is priceless to me and my family. We are one of those that prefers quality time over business time As for the room, flies were definitely an issue. We expected to see some given the location, but there were quite a few around our room. And while eating at the patio, no courtesy to checking on 1st floor residence, there was a guy vacuuming above us with all the mess and leaves and dirt hitting our breakfast foods and us. I had to yell out to stop it. That said, there are definitely positives. The view is amazing. We had deer hanging out practically right on our patio, which was such a cool experience and probably one of the highlights of the stay. The resort also has a lot of amenities -- basketball, movies, pool tables, games, a coffee shop, swimming pools, and plenty for families to do. We were especially looking forward to the kids' pool because our 20-month-old daughter has recently become obsessed with swimming. The pool was warm and heated, which she absolutely loved. So, while there are some great things about WorldMark Angels Camp -- especially the beautiful surroundings, wildlife, and variety of amenities -- the service and the repeated need to request basic supplies really took away from the experience for us. Of all the timeshare locations we've stayed at, this would probably be our least favorite so far. The amenities and scenery are great, but the service and attention to the basics need improvement

They are currently going through another ownership change, but from what the pro shop guys have said, it's all good things coming. The greens have some crabgrass issues, but other than that they are rolling pretty good. The greenside bunkers have gotten much better over the past few months, but the fairway ones still need some work. Since the new ownership change, the tee time pricing is now dynamic. We called to make a reservation instead of booking online, and that was a mistake. Definitely check online for the best price as most of the prices were cheaper than what we ended up paying. Twilight starts at 1pm, and honestly $75 with a cart is a solid deal. 2/3 rounds I played this past weekend were under 4 hours. 4th of July the course was empty and made for a very enjoyable round. The one area the course as a whole can improve on is the food at the clubhouse. Not sure if there's been change, but the food has been real bland the last few times. It's pricey as well, which makes us want to pack a lunch instead of buying it on the course. Lynette the bartender is the best though! Overall, excited to see how the new ownership improves the course over the next few months and beyond and can't wait to be back up to play again.
