Tldr: Kathy and her coworkers are some of the most manipulative people you will ever meet. My mother now owes an obscene amount to this company, and the staff belittled me for looking out for her. Despite absurd prices, items are of questionable authenticity, and we've sent them out for appraisal. Avoid any S&L shops at all costs.
My mother made the mistake of shopping here, and was welcomed by the staff's deceptive kindness. They advertised a 75% off sale, and whenever my mother looked at a new item, they said the monthly price, and not the whole price. They pressured her into buying way more than she ever meant to, and only after they sealed the deal did she finally see that it was way too expensive. They got her to sign up with several financing options to pay it off, and it was going to be a ludicrous rate. When she went back to try to return the items, she was denied, although they still maintain that they were upfront about their no-return policy (which they weren't). She picked out a new ring that she thought was only a few extra dollars, to exchange her old one to at least get a nicer one. They instead offered her a less-desirable ring that she didn't like, claiming to do her a favor by not increasing the price (mind, they didn't say how much the alternative would be increasing the price). When she declined, they just went ahead and charged her for the new ring without giving her any warning at all, adding another $6000 to the total (way more than she thought it would be; again, they gave her no warning). My mother now owes a ridiculous sum, and when I went with her a third time to negotiate something better, they were rude to me and tried to keep me out of the conversation so they could bully my mother (raising voices, accusing her of lying, offering even more financing options, etc). They belittled me for trying to look out for her, and when I suggested to my mother that we should leave because they were being rude, they accused me of being rude when all I did was ask questions and suggest we leave. They started raising their voices and my mother started to cry (although, they did offer her water), so I packed up our things and got her out of there. What's worse is, when we bit the bullet and inspected the jewelry at home, it was incredibly lightweight and the veracity of it being real gold and diamonds is very suspect. We have sent the items out for appraisal, and are awaiting the result. Kathy and her coworkers are some of the most manipulative people out there. Avoid this company at all costs. read more
