Favorite place to get away from the city life and reset. We have been coming to this place for over 20 years now and it's still our favorite place to relax. We have seen this place get renovated a couple times now and the management is getting better and better with giving the people what they want. Although I do miss the pool towels being freely available by the pool area, there are plenty of better benefits added to compensate for that. Watching a movie while in the jacuzzi, the fun games around the office, and the cold snacks on some days are a nice touch. The renovated rooms are definitely the best part of coming to this place, the golf course nearby and the deer make it feel peaceful and quiet. We will continue to come to this place couple of times a year as long as it's maintained and keeps on improving. read more

We've stayed at several timeshare locations, and unfortunately, this one has probably been our least favorite so far. It was just in me to write a review before leaving today From day one, we found ourselves having to ask for basic items that we normally expect to already be provided. There was no dish soap or hand soap when we arrived. On day two, we had to ask for coffee creamers, and we also had to request laundry detergent and no extra trash bags. It became a recurring theme throughout our stay -- constantly having to ask for things that we felt should have been available from the beginning. There was also a frustrating miscommunication with the sales/marketing team. The presentation was supposed to be for my folks, but there seemed to be a lack of verification regarding the names and who was actually supposed to participate. The sales approach was quite aggressive, and it could have been an embarrassing situation if we had shown up without realizing we didn't qualify. Fortunately, I double-checked with the concierge beforehand and was able to clear things up. The give aways are definitely eye catching but family time and peace of mind is priceless to me and my family. We are one of those that prefers quality time over business time As for the room, flies were definitely an issue. We expected to see some given the location, but there were quite a few around our room. And while eating at the patio, no courtesy to checking on 1st floor residence, there was a guy vacuuming above us with all the mess and leaves and dirt hitting our breakfast foods and us. I had to yell out to stop it. That said, there are definitely positives. The view is amazing. We had deer hanging out practically right on our patio, which was such a cool experience and probably one of the highlights of the stay. The resort also has a lot of amenities -- basketball, movies, pool tables, games, a coffee shop, swimming pools, and plenty for families to do. We were especially looking forward to the kids' pool because our 20-month-old daughter has recently become obsessed with swimming. The pool was warm and heated, which she absolutely loved. So, while there are some great things about WorldMark Angels Camp -- especially the beautiful surroundings, wildlife, and variety of amenities -- the service and the repeated need to request basic supplies really took away from the experience for us. Of all the timeshare locations we've stayed at, this would probably be our least favorite so far. I cannot get into my room. This is a major problem because we are flying out early in the morning so I need to pack and put my kids to bed. This place is a great spot for big groups, church groups and those that want to get away from the city life. World mark Angels Camp was a great location to focus on nature. I saw so many deers during my stay. They have pools, jacuzzis, sports (basketball, tennis, pickle ball). They also have an activities center for games and movie nights. They cafe was great too. The town home style rooms were roomy and had a full kitchen and two balconies (first and second floor). The primary room had a walk in closet and beautiful windows. I did see insects in the dishwasher (as expected, you are in the middle of the woods - they must've went through the sewer drains). I also felt pressured to sign up for timeshare from the staff. 1 Star because zero star is not an option Do not believe the promise that these sales presentations only take "an hour." That was absolutely not my experience. What is advertised as a quick presentation turns into hours of pressure, manipulation, and nonstop sales tactics designed to wear you down until you say yes. I felt trapped, misled, and emotionally exhausted by the end of it. They make everything sound wonderful while leaving out the long-term financial burden and difficulty of getting out once you sign. My advice: save yourself the stress, wasted time, and future headaches. If they offer you a "free" trip, stay, or experience in exchange for attending a presentation, just pay for the "gift" yourself. In the long run, it will cost you far less than getting stuck in a timeshare contract you regret. I would never do it again, and I would never recommend it to anyone. read more

The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Unfortunately the check-in experience significantly impacted our stay. After a long trip, we were forced to sign up to attend a timeshare presentation, which added unnecessary stress and disrupted our plans. Immediately after check in we were directed to talk with the sales associate who spun a story about it being a 5 minute video for a free breakfast , etc. After driving for several hours with two hot kids we were tired and worn down so agreed to attend. Once we got to our room we did some research and found out that it was a 2 hour presentation with a sales team to sell you a timeshare. Although we attempted to cancel, a $20 deposit was still charged to our credit card. This experience made us uncomfortable returning to the lobby incase we ran into anymore pressure to attend the sales pitch at another time, causing us to miss out on amenities and feel generally anxious for our stay. While the resort itself has many great features, the aggressive sales approach and lack of clear communication around cancellations really ruined the experience for us. read more

This is such a wonderful property. I'm not a golfer but the golf course looks very nice. The first day we were here a herd of dear wandered by us on the way to our unit. The 3 bedroom is lovely and well planned out. Master bedroom is upstairs and the two other bedrooms are down. There's also a Murphy bed in the living room. The patio is large and has a grill on it and there's a small patio off the master bedroom upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked. The walk in closet in the master bedroom is a special treat. Parking is easy. There's lots to do around here- Wine tasting, natural scenery and hiking, a brewery, horse back riding and so much more. read more

It's a really cool resort with multiple amenities like tennis, Pickleball, basketball, swimming pools, arcade with billiards, golf, and probably more that I don't know about. The coolest thing was the deers I saw from the balcony. My only gripe is the high pressured sales pitch because it is a timeshare. I don't have that kind of money or the time to really make a timeshare of value to me, but other than that, I would go back. read more

Came here with a friend who enjoys State and National parks. In a past life, he was a Worldmark member / owner. So he chose this location because he is familiar with the brand. We were in Building O, unit 269. Upstairs: king bed, full bathroom and tv Downstairs bedroom with two twin beds and a tv. Full bathroom, full kitchen, fireplace, balcony (complete with table, chairs and a gas grill). Balcony overlooks the golf course. It also had a pull-down queen bed wall unit. Washer and dryer The property: Rec / arcade room, separate gym, a common lounge area with coin massage chairs, pool tables, vending machines and a coffee bar serving pastries and Starbucks coffee. (Latte, Perrier, butter croissant and small apple juice $14). Full size basketball court. Full size tennis court. Upon check in, Concierge Don offered some great wine and a sales pitch to attend an "informational" meeting during the stay. This is, after all, a timeshare property. In return, my friend gets a $100 gift card for attending. Be prepared for them to not wanna take "no" for an answer. He also asked my friend for a credit or debit card. His explanation as to why was not clear. Something to do with issuing his gift card. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Beautiful time to come up here, at the beginning of fall in October. We went wine tasting, to local parks and restaurants too. This resort in centrally located in the foothills. As part of WorldMark timeshare, you can attend a 1 hour sales pitch and get a free gift, if you wish (gift card or winery tour etc.) We loved walking around and exploring by car. Close enough to Calaveras Big Trees - state park. The accommodations were roomy, and nice appointed kitchen . Patio looked out to the golf course and the deer walked past every morning and afternoon. The tractor lawn mowing machines go chugging by at 7am or earlier. Flocks of geese are discouraged by loud booms when the golfers start playing. Haha, I guess they have to get them out of the way somehow. Friendly staff, lots to do, loved the pools and hot tubs. Pretty area, warm, lots of rolling hills, grassy foothills. We were in building H behind the swimming pool. Checking in was smooth. We made a donation to the local animal shelter for a key bracelet. Great souvenir while helping local charities! We were offered wine for a quick introduction to the resort and getting waterproof key bracelets. The two bedroom unit was clean. We liked that each unit has its own bbq but it was not cleaned. The guest toilet moved every time you used it. Definitely needed maintenance to level the toilet. Connecting and disconnecting to their internet was frustrating. Tech support was no help. Just got here and needed to wash some cloths items. The washer was not working so we called the office and they said they would send their maintenance men over. It was probably 10 minutes at the most and they were knocking at our door. Their names were Cory and Joesph nice guys. They had it fixed in about 10to 15 minutes. Great place for a family getaway. They have a great pool, entertainment center, arcade games, basketball court, tennis court, and more. They also have a movie night for kids outside to enjoy. They also will give popcorn at the front desk, but go early since they will run out unfortunately. The rooms are clean nicely equipped with a kitchen, living room, and other amenities. The town is nice to get some lunch or dinner. I would recommend checking out Murphy town, Calaveras big tree, and Yosemite if you have time. My kids really enjoyed this place. read more

This is one very nice WorldMark property. Nice rooms in a great location. Quite for the most part and lots of wildlife visits in late afternoon. The BBQ grill used nightly is a welcoming treat at most of these properties, no exception here. The local Sav-Mart had great choices for cooking and is very handy too, nice clean market. It was two stories full kitchen dining area and living room..The down stairs had a TV in living room and one in the bedroom as well with a queen bed.The upstairs had a huge room with another bathroom and a King bed.The view from our deck out of the living room had chairs and a table and a gas BBQ. It over looked a green belt which we saw deer every day. The place also had two huge pools and spa. The main building where you check in had a pingpong table a rlfree arcade game a huge connect 4 game and UNO cards the size of a small car ..well maybe not that big but they were definitely big and hard to shuffle..This place was great and even had movies every night that played outside for free..This place was great read more

I am so impressed with the staff here at WorldMark. But, be prepared if you expect room service/housekeeping, that won't happen. We have a beautiful room on the corner, 2 bedrooms, and well furnished. The bathroom lighting could be better, as well as a heater in the bathrooms. Kudos to Kayla Francisco & Leslie Hutchens & Myra. We met Leslie upon entering WorldMark. I knew the spiel that was coming and thought I stopped her in her tracks, but oh no, she had me all in to do a presentation. We have quite a few timeshares and if it was possible to have met Kayla Francisco prior to these purchases, I would totally have purchased Wyndham and become part of their family. I really appreciate people who walk their talk and not lie. We received some really nice gifts for our 90 minute talk. Full disclosure, I did more talking than Kayla. Tomorrow, we will be participating in the party that WorldMark Angels Camp will be hosting. Lauren, who works at the front desk, is taking on all of the catering. Every person we have met who works here has been incredibly outgoing and friendly. The area is located in the heart of gold country and I love the catalog/brochure that came with the welcome packet, presenting ideas of activities, as well as walking tours and history. February 2024 was my 4th year coming here. Up until this year I'd have given 4.5 stars. This year I invited friends for the first time who we hadn't vacationed with in 20 years. Their experience was horrible and I was there to witness it. 1. There room was not ready at checkin time. 2. They were told they would be called when their room was ready. 3. 2 hours past checkin, no call, so friend calls and is told room was given away. 4. They were given some random room. 5. Long story short, THERE WERE HUGH COCKROACHES IN THEIR ROOM. Some even coming out of the stove. If they hadn't taken videos, I wouldn't have believed it because I had never seen any bugs in all my years, let alone roaches. YUCK!!!! And to too it off, management refused to give them another room in a different building. They were scheduled for 4 nights and stayed one. Our shared vacation was ruined. read more

Aside from the nice-ish rooms, unique amenities and big pool area, it's not a very relaxing place to stay. First of all, you can really only stay here if you buy into the condo program or know someone who does. My aunt owns Wyndham condo points, so we ended up staying here for a few days. Beware of the hawks. You will get a sales pitch when you check in and if you go to the front desk for anything, they will be swarming. So aggressive. Check in is falsely advertised as 4pm. We got our keys at 6:45pm lol what a joke. It's not like there is much to do while you wait for your room. Oh, and they tried the sales pitch after we had waited almost 2 hours for our room. What a joke. The layout of the rooms is nice. They have a two story set up and a one story set up. Each condo has a room with two twin beds, a master bedroom with a king and a Murphy bed that pulls out into the living room. Each room also has a washer and dryer, a BBQ and outdoor table set. On the other hand, the TVs are small, the rooms are a little dated and the bathroom soaps and shampoos are trash. This is a nice place to stay and convenient if you're checking out Murphy's or the big trees, but be prepared for the sales pitches and inconvenient check in process. read more

This is a beautiful resort located next to a golf course in Angel's Camp. Nearby is Save Mart and several restaurants. Hot spots within a half hour ride is the town of Murphy's and Arnold where you can do wine tasting or see Moaning Caverns or Mercer Caverns. Angel's Camp Worldmark has two pools and four spas, a small playground for toddlers, basketball court and tennis court. They also have a small fitness room, arcade, billiards and air hockey. While these areas are small, the bang for your buck are the rooms, the scenery, and the surrounding towns. We stayed in a fully furnished 2BR condo; the master BR was upstairs and bedroom 2 downstairs next to the kitchen and living room. There was a balcony with a BBQ and seating area. The unit was clean and spacious and held us two adults and five kids comfortably. read more

California dreaming brought us here. Chose this spot because of the stellar reviews and it's proximity to Yosemite National park. The amenities include 24 hour reception, pool/ hot tub, bbq grill on every deck, & an area shuttle. We visited Calaveras big trees, the winery town of Murphy, ice cream , and of course Yosemite. Our unit was right next to a construction site and was very loud with the windows down. With windows up, you can still hear it but not nearly as obnoxious. read more

As an owner, I'm making my rounds to all the Worldmark properties. I gotta say... I think this is our favorite location so far! We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath. Parking is directly outside our front door. It's a 2 story unit. I love that the master bedroom is upstairs and separate from the second bedroom that's downstairs. The living room is very spacious. And the Murphy bed is really comfortable. There's a bbq on the balcony. There's the main pool w a kiddy pool and big jacuzzi. The game room has 2 pool tables, ping pong, basketball, and a bunch of their games. We didn't visit the gym, but it's next door to the game room. There's a second pool and jacuzzi if adults don't want to be near the kids. The staff was super nice and helpful! We went to Yummy Ha Ha and Mercer Caverns based on their recommendations. Overall... excellent experience. We'll def be back to this property a lot. Plus they said they just completed a renovation. So the suites are all updated w beddings and decor. read more

This is a great five-star resort place to stay. The service is excellent and the employees very friendly. The grounds are well-maintained, including the tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pools, exercise workout room, etc. The rooms are equal to a small apartment with a fireplace and BBQ grill outside on the back deck. There is a wall safe inside to lock up valuables when you are out. Full kitchen with all the dishes and cookware you need. Just add you. The only aggravating thing is the Wi-Fi connection randomly drops your connection or freezes up, and you have to go through a long process to log back in again. The service is a third-party provider, so the staff cannot help you if there is a problem with Wi-Fi. read more

So my friend owns a timeshare here and was unable to make it and offered it to me for the memorial weekend. It was my anniversary so it was perfect timing. It is a very beautiful quaint resort next to a golf course. As we drove up to check in we were surprised that they had a drive up check in system going. Super convenient and it was seamless. We pulled into a spot and text the number provided, less than a minute someone was at the car window ready to check us in. Super friendly staff. They provided us with a folder that had lots of information on the resort itself and places to eat, things to do. Plenty of parking. To unlock the door we used a bracelet, loved this idea especially when your hands are full and when you go to the pool. The room: walking in the place we immediately noticed just how spacious the 1 bedroom was. Attaching photos. It was so clean! Everything was tidy and stocked with all the essentials. It had a fireplace and deck with a gas grill too. Murphy bed that pulls down in the living room tucked in the wall. Wouldn't even notice it was there if I wasn't told. It is 2 story and the 2 bedroom are up stairs. I personally would have switched them cause we did hear the kids jumping above us however it did not interrupt our stay a bit. We have kids so we know how it goes. The grounds: plenty of parking, beautifully kept, a few pools and jacuzzis. Place to walk , a place to golf, beautiful scenery, lots of deer just walking around, close and convenient to grocery stores and food but still tucked away to feel you are away from town, restaurant nearby and wine tasting. Checkout was so simple. Basically it could not have been a better experience. I highly recommend oh and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby read more

Had a great time in angels camp at this resort. I was a guest and not a member however i was lucky enough to be invited. The weather was perfect and they had everything you needed to enjoy your days away from your daily grind. Everyone from guests to staff to wild life(not including insects lol)was very friendly. We stayed for three days so i wish i brought my golf clubs because there is a beautiful course literally next door. Save mart supermarket is close by as well should you need groceries. Pool and clubhouse doesn't close until 10pm so that is pretty awesome as well. Gas grills near the pool or on your balcony for use. Grounds are very well managed and maintained. There is something here for any age group. Oh and they have boat parking as well. I would definitely recommend this location is you are a WorldMark member or considering staying at angels camp. read more

A great place tucked away in the Mother lode. The unit is spacious, clean and updated with all the amenities. You can really spread out. The bedroom has a huge king size bed which is very comfortable for a good nights sleep. The unit we had slept 4 with a pull down bed in the middle of the living room. Thank you for ruining my family's weekend. 5 families with a total of 20 people booked 5 units in March (4 months ago) only to get a call 1 day before our reservation to tell me they cancelled all our rooms because they are overbooked and owners get priority. Whatever system Worldmark is using is trash! You don't know you're overbooked until the day before??!! One of the party even called earlier that week and spoke with someone directly to confirm her reservation! How do you expect 5 families to find another accommodation last minute?? With the amount of money you're charging, you better update your reservation system! read more

WOW!! Just Unbelievable. Customer Service is definitely not here. My family planned for a weekend getaway here and booked back in March. 5 separate units. 2 families called in directly to resort to confirm reservations 1 wk before and given a confirmation. We all received a phone call 1day and 2days before check in that our rooms were cancelled because of over booking and they cannot accommodate us. We were left stranded with this short notice. We had plans to cook and bbq, groceries bought etc... Plans at the Lake ( no refundable rentals at this late into the check in date) and no place to stay. Poor managing of bookings and confirmation of this Timeshare and rental (online) resort is totally UNACCEPTABLE! No one was looking into their bookings ahead of time and making sure rooms were available; especially during busy summer season. We have stayed here before and have friends stayed here before earlier in the summer and no issues, but we got the middle finger this time- with no assistance or future compensation for this HUGE INCONVENIENCE! They should be separating units for Owners and setting aside units for online rentals to avoid this mess. I have a timeshare with a bigger brand and this never happens. Never staying here again and will not refer this resort again with this kind of treatment. Thanks for ruining our summer. read more

The rooms are wonderful, the area is fantastic, and we love our visits here... EXCEPT FOR THE SALES STAFF. Arrived a little after 7 pm. Checked in, was directed to the "concierge", Victoria, whose job it has been, for the last 20+ years of being an owner here, to get me to attend the owner update (which has always been a sales meeting). Informed them I wasn't going, they promised me it was different this time because of big changes (they always say this) and all they would be doing is answering questions and converting my account to the new system. No sales, no money involved, no group presentation. They asked me for one more chance to earn my trust, and offered me a bunch of things for compensation. I reluctantly agreed, and warned them they'd be hearing about it if it wasn't true. I showed up the next morning at their "Presentation Center", and went to check in. My was informed my wife would have to be here, and I said that wasn't going to happen. I explained that I'd been told that this wouldn't be a sales presentation, and was told "Well, this is a sales office...". They offered to reschedule for another time, and I informed them they'd lost their chance. I explained again that I didn't want to be there, that they are not respectful of my time, and that they had grossly misrepresented what the event I was attending was all about. Here for a week as an owners guest. Wifi must be PAID FOR. It is not free and at that, is super slow. Not a place you want to work from. It is November and even though there are 4 hot tubs and a swimming pool, none are inside. Unless you want the polar bear plunge, you will need to choose straight up noon at this time of the year, and pray it gets warm quickly! Swimming pool is also outdoors. Television system is antiquated. Great location with easy access to the highway. Condos are decent and restful. Gas grills available on the patios. Grocery stores just 5 minutes down the road and the wineries are about a 20 min. drive. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. read more
