I only planned on staying one night! I added an additional three nights. It's hard to find such a clean, well put together hotel for a great price! I never expected the room (Deluxe Queen Room) to be so big, of course I wanted to stay! I really appreciate that the heater/shower/refrigerator worked so well, I was warm and my food stayed at the right temperature in the fridge. They haven't slacked on maintaining this hotel. I hope to be back soon, what a big peaceful room to enjoy on vacation!

Lovely hotel in the center of town. Couple of restaurants within walking distance. I really enjoyed China house. Free parking and WiFi. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was perfect for what I needed. It was clean, but the room really needs a good deep cleaning sometime soon. I loved the fact that they had a refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker in the room. Room 4 (where I stayed) is however behind the stairs on the first floor. And had the ice machine right out front. That woke me up several times throughout the night, so was not thrilled with the location of the room. And there was no natural light at all in the room, being behind the stair case. I will definitely stay here again, but I will request a different room next time. Pool and hot tup were not open yet unfortunately. Overall it was a lovely place to stay for the $110/night price point. I do highly recommend if you are looking for a nice spot to rest for a couple nights.

NOT TRUE no breakfast available at all at the hotel. The person at the front desk did not know what we were talking about when asked about

Hotel staff is always absent with a phone number on the office door saying to call. Owned by Google Maps?

It's obvious to me that they take it seriously too! The room had a pod coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and free bottles of water. Comfortable beds and cotton (breathable) sheets. Breakfast had cheese omelettes, French toast-sticks, cereal, juice & fresh fruit. All tasty! The location is close to the freeway, but tucked away on a side street that is private. Because of that, it's much more quiet than the hotels along the Main Street in Sonora (15 minutes away). It is an hour and a half to Hetch Hetchy Dam, 15 minutes to Culver's Apple Farm in Tuolumne City, 8 minutes to Columbia and 3 miles from the BESTsourdough bread you EVER ate, from Two Acre Farms! Fantastic location. If I had 10 thumbs, I would hold them ALL up for this hotel! Truly a great stay!

It is up in the mountains which is a nice and relaxing drive. While I can't comment on the actual lodge since we did not stay, I can comment on how awesome the skating rink is. The owner has been working the skating rink for 45 years! The skating rink is indoors and massive! The have a small office inside where you sign waivers, pay and get your skates. They offer what I like to call "walkers" for the less experienced skaters for an additional $5. The skating fee is $15 plus $5 for skates per person, but there is no time limit on how long you can stay. There is also an indoor seating area that is warmer where you can people watch, but they also have another big area with tables and chairs. We were very impressed with this place and the staff! We'll be back during New Years and plan to visit again! Dress warm if you visit - it is very cold indoors!

It is a smaller rink, but perfect for beginners, or spending the afternoon with the kids. This was the first time I been on the ice since I was 10 and it is much harder than I remembered. It was my boyfriends first time ice skating and he got the hang of it pretty quickly. The kids enjoyed it - the youngest in our party had just turned 3 and he was killing it - doing better than most of us. The cost is minimal $20/person and that includes skate rentals. You can also rent the skate helpers for the kids or the adults who are learning. I ended up using one for a while as it was much more difficult to glide on the ice than I remembered. The kids had so much fun, even asking when we could come back or if they can take ice skating classes. We plan on returning before they close for the season.

Special callout to Micaela and the events team, who are very experienced in executing weddings and made us feel welcome and supported throughout. That being said, the food was ok. The Burger at lunch was GREAT, the fries that came with it, absolutely STELLAR after a day of hiking. Breakfast was fine, average. No issues there. Dinner sucked. Our food came out cold multiple times and we were there for over 2 hours. We watched a couple arrive 15 min after us, get their food and leave well before us. We ordered the smoked salmon dip, it came out with a hot-ish edge and cold center- yuck. Had to send it back to be properly heated. Then our main dishes arrived cold. The mash potatoes with my braised short rib were room temp. The pasta was obviously sitting based on the dried up sauce. The pasta was also cold. We waitress tried to reassure (gaslight) that the food had just come out. We sent the food back to be properly heated. After being reheated, the food was fine. They did gave us the meal for free b/c of all the issues we experienced that night- which was kind. I have never experienced so many issues while at a restaurant or felt the need to send food back. I should have gotten another burger.

From the check in to the restaurant staff, all of it 1st rate! Opted for suite this time and it was so worth it! Super comfortable, the bed was cozy and perfect. Slept like a cat (cat ppl know what I mean). Rush Creek is especially great if you have small children. Lots of activities on the property plus there's a massive pool to cool off in or heck...do some zip lining. What kid doesn't like that? The restaurant on the property is still great! Plenty of options and the beer and wine selection (or boozier cocktails) are still a win. I recommend the bowl of chili! Overall, yeah it's a bit of a drive from the Yosemite valley if that's what you want to do...BUT... there is tons of stuff to explore on this side of the park as well. Staying at Rush Creek has allowed our family to visit new sites and trails that we'd probably not be motivated to see if staying in the valley. I can't recommend Rush Creek Lodge and spa enough!
