Excellent experience with AirCon!! Evaporator coil had leak and so had it replaced along with condenser. I wanted to get a second opinion for work and price so decided to check around before agreeing to use AirCon. Big mistake!! I may (or may not) have been able to find something cheaper but with what I had to deal with decided it wouldn't be worth it. One individual actually came to my house late on a Friday night and literally knocked and rung my door bell at least 20 times for about 10 mins. Once I realized he wasn't going to leave and I answered the door he informed me that he could do the job for almost half of what I was willing to pay. I informed him I would be using another company and he then went out to his truck and started texting me. As a single woman I did not appreciate this at all. So glad I decided to just go ahead and use AirCon. Travis, Adrian, and Matt were very professional. They got the job done in the allotted amount of time and stuck around to make sure everything worked accordingly. Unfortunately after they left I noticed popping noises coming from bathroom sink (due to plumbing) so they had Travis and Matt turn around and come back to check things out. They took care of this problem but after a few minutes it not only started popping but made air gush noises that sounded like someone breathing (a little creepy). Once again I called and they had them return to my house for second time. I felt really bad and was very apologetic, but these young men were so beyond kind and appeared to not be put out at all. They fixed the problem by replacing a piece of the pvc pipe and now everything appears to be just fine. As a person who works in customer service I have to say that these guys went above and beyond with positively outrageous service and I would highly recommend AirCon to anyone that ever has any HVAC problem. read more

This summer I received a free AC/Heating system checkup as a benefit for switching energy providers. The tech for this (name withheld) company came out and inspected our system. He informed us that everything looked great but we were about 3lbs low on freon. The cost to top off our system seemed to be bit high to me so we declined any further service. One week later my AC stopped cooling. The fan motor was running but the compressor wouldn't kick on. I called AirCon and they were able to send a technician out in a matter of hours. I asked specifically for the tech to diagnose any possible tampering or improper repairs done by the previous technician during his checkup. The AirCon tech arrived on time (even a little early) and promptly diagnosed the problem. The start capacitor had blown out. He also document that very recently someone had replaced a terminal connector and wire on the capacitor. Since the unit hadn't been serviced in almost four years we know this had to have been done by the previous tech. The AirCon tech also informed us that we were not low on freon at all and that our system was running fine after the new capacitor was installed. The front office staff at AirCon were absolutely fantastic during this ordeal. They were willing to stand behind their tech's diagnosis and repair without question. One staff member even asked me to call back after I pursued action against the other company for unauthorized repair work so they could hear the full story. We have used AirCon for previous A/C work and they have always been fast, courteous and do great work. When our evaporator needed replacement, they went the extra mile and installed a switch in our overflow pan to prevent it from overflowing onto the ceiling. i didn't even realize it until the next time I went in the attic. This time AirCon came to the rescue when our furnace went out. The blower motor was making a lot of noise and I called AirCon. The technician came out and found that the vibrations had caused a gas leak in our attic! He quickly stopped the leak and diagnosed the problem. He then explained my options and gave me a written estimate for fixing the problem. I could either replacing the blower or replacing the entire furnace (both included fixing the gas leak). The furnace was 19 years old and was at the end of its life. I spoke to the tech about my options and he didn't pressure me, but recommended replacing the whole unit. I typically don't do the morst expensive option, but in this case, I decided to go ahead and do the whole furnace, since it was so old and the entire new unit would have a warranty. A few hours after he left the blower stopped running and we now had no A/C! I called back and they brought out a portable unit to keep us cool until they could replace the furnace. They did a great job and I am amazed at how quiet the new Rudd unit is! AirCon even had to do more work than anticipated due to my attic configuration, but honored the original estimate. Some changes at Aircon since the last review. I was a bit concerned when our upstairs A/C went out and I didn't get a good feeling from the disclaimer on the quote, which wasn't inexpensive. Being an engineer in technical sales, I am very skeptical. After a good discussion with Seth, I went ahead with an outdoor unit replacement. Let's just say, I'm glad I did. They may not be the most inexpensive, but they are the best quality at a competitive price. The install crew that arrived were what I have come to expect from Aircon. Clean, neat, polite, professional. It was only later I found out they were a new crew to Aircon (lead was not new to HVAC, just Texas - be sure to welcome Dave, and a college engineering student, Andrew). Then Wade, the technical supervisor stopped by, and stayed for 2+ hours. If anyone isn't impressed by his knowledge of equipment and how it's supposed to run, I'd be surprised. But, what really impressed me was the level of detail that went into the install. First thing was to lay neat drop cloths from the front door to the attic staircase. New outside electrical box and connections. New breakers. New slab for the unit. New copper tubing and insulation with cover to the unit. Put the filter/drier in the attic instead of outside (so it won't rust). Then they checked a number of parameters to ensure the system was operating properly and stayed for the temperature to drop a couple degrees. If anyone has read this far, my advice is bite the bullet with these guys. You won't regret it. read more

I couldn't have asked for more except to have Dominique Sachse on site. But seriously, from the initial phone call to the explanation of the product installation. Jacklyn, Jodi, Sean, David, Paul, and Cheryl all came to the rescue on this one. My AC was shot and I was in dire straits, I called AirCon and they really cared about my situation and the mess I had on my hands. Jacklyn was great at explaining the process at 8:00am that morning (I probably called earlier than that who knows), and Jodi and Sean arrived to my home shortly thereafter. Jodi is a seasoned and professional technician, that isn't afraid to be truthful with the customer. Unfortunately, I have dealt with other companies that fall very short of AirCon's standard. Sean was my comfort specialist and didn't up-sell me or pressure me. People don't like that feeling at a desperate time. Sean simply showed me my options and allowed me to make an informed decision, he is also very genuine. David and Paul showed up to my door the very next morning, and the work space they had to deal with wasn't ideal in fact the area is a bit cramped, however David assured me that they would do a good job for me, and that is exactly what they did. After their 9 uninterrupted hours of upstairs and downstairs work half of which was monsoon like conditions, David thoroughly explained the system, the ins and outs, and what was sold to me, is what I got and then some. ( 1 week post install) While no one wants to replace their entire A/C and heating system, sometimes we just have to. I personally installed my system in 1995, when I bought my home, as I was in the HVAC world at that time. With the need to replace the system, I found the experience with AirCon to be excellent, as I started with a high bar in the first place. Their initial contact with a sales and installation tech was professional and forthright. He evaluated my current situation, performed heat load calculations, including existing insulation and U-values on my new high efficiency windows etc. Then he listened to my concerns and expectations and offered me appropriate options, without a hard sales pitch. The install crew as right on time, worked all day installing new condenser, evap-coil, furnace, discharge plenum, return air plenum, transition and new line set. This was a full system replacement minus duct work. Upon completion I was shocked to find the transition even contained an access panel. The crew cleaned up the attic area, and even vacuumed out the garage floor with all the fine insulation that inevitably left behind with this type of install. The crew was professional, and the overall installation was everything I expected. Wasn't the cheapest bid/proposal I received, but there is value in the execution and confidence they have provided, and I'm pleased with my choice. AirCon is #1 in My Book! I recently had an AC breakdown during a week where Houston was experiencing and breaking all the temperature records. I first called my home warranty service and was told it would be a week before they could get to me. Not satisfied with their response I picked up the Community Newsletter and began looking for an AC Service Company in our area. I immediately noticed AirCon and quickly gave them a call. It was after hours yet I was pleasantly greeted over the phone and handled like I was part of the Family. AirCon immediately dispatched a Technician to my residence. Ricky showed up and quickly analyzed the problem. The first thing the next morning AirCon was here and replaced the broken part and I had cool air once again. Amazing Service, and a Willingness to Listen When AirCon came out to do my annual spring checkup it became obvious that our seven year old York system was on its last legs. It needed four pounds of freon, and each of the past four years needed freon at least twice a year, even with a new coil unit installed. We asked for a quote on a new system 14 seer or above, and they worked with us to give us a very solid quote. When they arrived on time, and neatly dressed to do the install, I had made a decision after additional research that I wanted a more expensive unit that had some other features and advantages. The owner of the company came out to see me within the hour, found the American Standard unit I wanted, went and picked it up and then helped his team of three installers place the system into service, as the replaced bad intake ducts, and installed a new programmable thermostat. My initial contact with AirCon was for a second opinion and a quote. Another company had tried to repair my old ac, but I was unhappy with their repairs, so I called AirCon. I found them on the Check-a-pro website and read about the company before I called. The first person I spoke with was Doreen who made me immediately comfortable and I knew I was in good hands. Derek, the owner, brought a portable ac and installed it in the living room so I'd be cool until all the work was done. On the day of the install, the team that came out was great! Will, Chad, and Forest got to work right away. Ricky, my tech, walked me through the job to tell me what they would do and Clayton, the supervisor was there, too. They worked nonstop until 7:30 that evening. It was a big job, and they came back the next day and worked from 9am until 9pm and did not leave until they picked up every scrap of everything and even vacuumed my carpet! AirCon has wonderful, old school values and a focused customer service mindset. My father in law has used them for years and I just moved to the area recently and immediately signed up for a maintenance subscription with them. Given the heat in Houston, I don't want to have any issues with my AC! Just today when I came back from a run, I heard a weird, high pitched clicking noise coming from one of my units and gave them a call. There doesn't appear to be any impact to my cooling system as a result of the noise, but they popped me on the schedule for the first appointment in the morning anyway. It's this kind of customer service that I'm sure will result in them building a huge customer base by delivering on their promises. For my regularly scheduled appointments they are on time, call head and are quick, clean and thorough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. With our other AC provider going out business, we didn't know of any local businesses to contact for annual maintenance. When searching on the phone map, we found a few but noticed they had Yelp ratings listed. After pulling up Yelp and reviewing many companies, we decided to call AirCon. On the morning of our appointment, we received a courtesy call notifying us that Jody was on way out and he had another tech with him. Upon their arrival, Jody greeted us and instantly instills confidence that he has the ability and knowledge to take care of your system. He kept us abreast throughout the service and made recommendations to divert future issues. While in the home, he respected our place and was genuinely professional. We signed a maintenance agreement to make them "our" AC company for future needs. *i forgot the other Techs name but he was a hard worker and represents them well. I recently had to call them to address the fact the air conditioner stopped working. I was worried when the thermostat said 80 degrees and then it suddenly hit 90. I like it when businesses have people with social skills answer the phone. The young man who answered the phone told me that I was next in line but the technician was helping another customer right now. He handled me well even though I was looking to pick a fight after he told me the technician would not be able to come right NOW. It was a triple digit day. I lied in bed with wet towels covering my body while wondering if I could even identify the symptoms of heat stroke while having symptoms of heat stroke. Finally our arrival time started and the technician was on his way. It was 70 degrees again by 8pm. All I remember him saying is yes, I can fix it. He was still cheaper than moving into La Quinta. read more

Why 2, the Service tech they sent out was great and did a great job trying to get the job done with out charging me a fortune. But sadly the compressor on this almost 3 year old Lennox POS failed. Now parts are covered for 5 years but labor is not and this is why I knock at least 2 stars off. The labor alone for the compressor and one valve to be replaced....1800 bucks! Yep 1800 bucks in labor charges. But this is Houston in the middle of the summer with a 4 month old baby. So yeah won't be using them again, unless you feel like throwing money around like you don't have any worries. I for one won't. And I know when it comes time to replace the AC Lennox, that will be a hard pass and I will yell it from a mountain top, Lennox quality stinks and so does their apathetic customer service. I see another class action lawsuit in their future. read more

I explained the situation and she said she could immediately have a technician arrive at my home. This was awesome, as I have 4 kiddos that were getting hot and fussy and we needed immediate service. Upgraded to exceptional service! I wish they had more than five stars for AirCon Service Company right across the street from Molly's. They have a rigorous training program for technicians. AirCon replaced my duct work last year. Very professional. Their customer service is outstanding! This year they installed new A/C, heat, and a new thermostat. I have to upgrade my rating for AirCon Service Company. This house is 51 years old and there was one grill that always dripped. In 18 years numerous A/C companies have told me I needed a new A/C system to correct it which still didn't work. AirCon worked their butts off until they fixed it. They had to replace a register and the grill. It was so old it had never been insulated. Now it's fixed ... so I can sell it. read more

Both units were 17 years old, builder grade. Felt like I got longer than average use out of those, so I decided to replace both. They gave me what I felt was a good deal. Will was very professional and personable. The installation team, led by Forrest, was on time both days, cleaned up well, and did a great job. Weekend Service Call: I required a weekend service call for my air conditioner on Saturday. The answering service said the Dispatcher would contact me shortly. Within an hour I received a call from Enzo, who said he would arrive within the hour. Twenty minutes later he was at my door. Enzo was knowledgeable and very professional. He determined that my capacitor had blown and promptly fixed the problem. He answered all our questions and made recommendations for the future. I was very satisfied with my weekend service call. I received excellent quality for a fair price. I have a monthly service contract with Air Con and this call is representative of the excellent service I always receive.
