Just had our bedroom split AC unit serviced for the first time since we bought it about 5 years ago…read more(oops). It was feeling not quite as cold and the fan seemed like it was working a little harder, so I wanted to get it cleaned before the hot summer months hit! I *hate* making phone calls, but the receptionist was SUPER nice, so that immediately put me at ease. Their quote was flat rate and very reasonable so I was happy I wouldn't be guessing how much it would come to at the end. She apologized for not being able to get me in the week I called but was able to fit me in the next week - which was faster than I had expected! The technician came at the quoted time and took about an hour, which is how long they had told me on the phone. It says something about other companies on island that this is a noteworthy comment! He was very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. He showed me the visible spots he had cleaned, but the best thing is now our AC is back to being icy cold - I had to bump it up to make it warmer! - and it smells nice and clean. I paid in cash (there is a fee if you use card. You can also write a check if you prefer). We will definitely be happy to use this company again in the future!

She's knowledgeable, kind, and doesn't rush you off the phone. She seriously takes time for each customer to make sure the problem gets solved. Also, thanks to Damon for working with us. We're the type of family to pick a company and stick with them forever and I'm so happy we found this company for our AC needs. Although ACs are expensive, they always work with us to find the best solution to the issues we are having. They've been doing our cleanings and repairs for years now. Just wanted to say mahalo!

Here's an update. I'm changing my review from a 5 to a 1. My system started to experience problems…read morea few months ago (delayed start). I decided to contact the installer because the time from on to AC blower actually working exceeded 5 mins. I contacted KW on Aug 4th and they slow rolled me until finally showing up to look at the unit on Aug 19. The technician left saying he contacted the manufacture (Rheem) and he would get back to me. Well today, Aug 20 my system is completely down. I called KW again and they said they would order an electrical board and fan motor. Overall service response time has been POOR and now I'm out of AC for who knows how many days until the parts arrive. If they would have simply responded to my request for service at the beginning of the month I would not be without AC.

Despite what US mainlanders imagine, working in Hawai'i is no vacation when your "open-concept, breezy island workspace" doubles as a wind tunnel every time the landscapers roll by during a video work meeting. The new system's smart controls and quiet performance have transformed that sweltering, armpit-like corner into a functional workspace in my work office garage. After surveying four or five vendors for both AC and electrical work, Kawika AC was one of the few able to handle both quickly and seamlessly. They scheduled everything back-to-back over the same weekend I was available -- no nonsense, no delays, just efficient execution. Their team was down-to-earth, professional, and didn't try to upsell oversized or unnecessary units like some others did. Pricing was fair, realistic, and the workmanship was excellent. Highly recommend Kawika AC for anyone who values fast, honest, and high-quality service done right the first time. ALOHA AND THANK YOU!

When I called to ask about it, I was told the company was busy, then that the referral company should have told me, and there were no notes on their end. I highly recommend Malama Air Conditioning and owner Matt. It has been awesome working with a…read morelocally owned air conditioning company that truly understands the meaning of "malama". Matt really does go above and beyond taking care of his customers. I have used many Air Conditioning companies in the past and have learned so many valuable lessons. Like if you choose to pay for the cheapest air-conditioning equipment & service, you will get exactly what you pay for. And if don't mind frequently calling those cheap air conditioning companies to come back out to keep doing repairs. Since they did a sloppy job installing your cheap new equipment from the start. You will more than likely end up paying a whole lot more than what you should have (like us). However, Matt and his company, from start to finish, has always exempted service that is professional, honest, and reliable. They have always taken the time to explain everything clearly, answer all my questions, and had made sure the job was done right. Malama Airconditioning has always been friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of my home and family members too. I would say Matt & his team, is more like family, we talk story and, he shares good tips and advice about everything. But most of all, Matt has saved my family and I from making a really bad decision in the past, Generally speaking, Matt's input has saved us from virtually losing a whole lot of money and going through a whole lot of heartache. And I just can't thank Matt enough. Another important thing that stood out most was Matt & his entire team's commitment to customer satisfaction, and the personal attention they provided throughout the process. It's clear that they genuinely care about their customers and their reputation in the community. So, if you're looking for trustworthy HVAC professionals who deliver exceptional service, I highly recommend Malama Air Conditioning. My family and I will only use them for all air conditioning needs. Thank you to Matt, Elijah and the entire team for a great experience! Mahalo Nui Loa, Malama Airconditioning!!!!!!!!!
