Champion Appliance Repair was highly reviewed and so we called them. Very professional scheduler, who made us feel OK about the 4 hour window, even though we griped. Honestly though we got the appointment for the next day so that was a big plus and sealed the deal for us. Be advised there is a $40.00 visit fee but they will apply that towards repairs. The technician, named Davis, showed up well before the deadline. He was able to diagnose the problem and had the tools and parts to fix it on the spot. Very impressive. Will definitely call them first for any future similar work.

I had a refrigerator issue and needed to install a water tank / filter so I gave them a call. The tech came down and tried to charge me upfront for the parts and labor when he didn't even have it in stock.... it's now the third week and the tech Is supposed to be here at 10am . It's noon time already and he is not here. Another funny thing is that the technician asked me to remind him to come... LOL What the hell is that?... don't waste your time with this company, they obviously don't respect the customers time. Google this number (877) 755-5237 That number is for another appliance spot that they run together and you can see all the 1 star yelp reviews. How did I get this number? They texted me with it confirming my appointment time. I don't like writing bad reviews but this is disappointing . Your company can't even schedule an appointment correctly and wanted me to pay the costs up front. What a joke . No one has the time to sit and wait around all day. Luckily the refrigerator issue isn't a big problem so I'm not in a rush for it. I will find another company that is more competent .

Charles has done work for us at our commercial property and private residences. He's a a very…read moretrustworthy guy and no-nonsense. He takes pride in a job well done, he is reliable, and pricing is reasonable. If you are looking for an HVAC guy on Yelp right now, why is it that you don't already have someone you can use? Is this your first time needing HVAC repair? Or have you not been able to find someone you can trust? My guess is you haven't been able to find someone you can trust. So you keep trying new people, only to get disappointed again and again. As a property manager, I've had to deal with many service companies over the years. HVAC technicians, plumbers, painters, etc. And I know from experience, many service people will low-ball you on the front end to engage you, and then make up their money later when you're not scrutinizing their pricing. Charles is NOT one of these people. He will be straight with you. He will tell it how it is, and is too busy serving his happy repeat customers to waste time playing games. Chales shows up on time, he gets the job done quickly, he's very competent in his craft. And you will learn he's honest and consistent, which spares you time in getting 2nd and 3rd bids on every job. So overall, a terrific value.

Some months back, I had trouble with one of my units. As some of the other Yelpers have pointed out, some of these HVAC companies are hard to get a hold of. It seems there is high demand for HVAC services. Truman Air was not difficult at all. I was on three waiting lists for appointments 3 and 4 weeks out... Truman came within 2 days of our first contact. I was dreading the cost of the repair but the guys went on the roof and diagnosed the problem in like 10 minutes. The capicitor had burnt out. For much less than I had anticipated spending and within 10 more minutes the HVAC was humming again! Thanks Charles! Now, one of my other units has gone bad altogether. It must be replaced. It's 30 years old. The last guy that replaced a unit took 3 weeks to get one and another 3 weeks before he could come out to install it. Charles came the day after I called and will be installing the new unit this week! You will be hard pressed to find a company that comes out as quickly and is willing to do the job immediately, especially for such competitive pricing. If I could give these guys more stars... I would!

When Roman arrived, he took just a few minutes to find the problem with my dryer and provide me a quote for repair. I really appreciated that he described in detail the issue/problem with my dryer. Essentially wear & tear and HAIR over the years impacting the rollers, but overall he said my aging dryer was still a good work horse. I felt comfortable agreeing with the quote. Not only did Roman have my dryer up and working in no time, but as he was repairing the rollers, he saw an additional worn pulley and belt that he also replaced at no additional charge. I appreciated him taking the time to notice these little issues, his honesty & good work. I highly recommend their fast & efficient service.

Darren hires great people to do the work.  We had the pleasure of working with both Joe and Nick.  Nick was our installer.  He was amazing.  I've never seen a work ethic like Nick's.  He had a tough job in our attic (the temperature of which was like the surface of the sun) and he stayed until 10:00 at night rather than leave us another night with no air conditioning during a heat wave.  I would like to mention that I'm dealing with some serious health problems which affect my energy and ability to manage temperature extremes.  I didn't communicate this to Nick ahead of time and he still went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that we were taken care of. We are so grateful to this amazing team and would be delighted to recommend them and work with them in the future.

Strange reasoning because no where does it say that I need to inform him that I am using a coupon to pay. I could understand that some coupons do not work on certain days or certain services, but his reasoning was because I didn't tell him I was using the coupon. I was telling him right then that I am going to use the coupon. Why have a coupon if you do not allow patrons to use it, seems like a shady marketing scheme? That's ridiculous. There were a few reasons why I selected this company. One was because it has great reviews on Yelp. Another was because of this coupon. Granted, he fixed what was wrong, but he charged so much for such a simple fix that it almost borders on taking advantage of people. It's hard to find an honest repairman, and I thought that reading reviews on here might steer me in the right direction, but nope. The problem was with a wall furnace that needed the pilot light ignited. He charged me $150 to light the furnace light AND he did NOT honor the coupon. I understand he came out on a Saturday night to look at the problem. But he came out late because he lost my information, address, and phone number so he did not have a way to contact me to tell me he wasn't going to show up. I had to call him and he was happy that I called him back because otherwise he would have never showed up at all. Geez, talk about being irresponsible. He ruined my entire evening.
