I joined Aim Higher for their 6 week program. In no way, shape, or form would I ever call myself the athletic type. My fitness level is probably below average, to be honest -- or at least it used to be. I wanted to make improvements, and that's why I took a leap of faith and joined Aim Higher.
I would go to their gym 3-4 times a week. I would have gone more, but I work two jobs. But that should say a lot right there -- I MADE time for my fitness goal. As much as I possibly could. That's super important! You have to be committed. Results won't show up, if you never do.
When I first started, I was given a nutrition plan catered to my own body and nutritional needs. That same day, I started my new and improved diet.
I was losing one percent body fat EVERY WEEK. And maybe that doesn't sound like a lot -- but it is. I saw a physical change in my body right away. By week 6, I met my fitness goal. 6% body fat down in exactly 6 weeks.
I achieved this by SHOWING UP and sticking to my diet religiously (I would have ONE cheat meal, once a week).
The best part about the program is hands down its trainers. Olympia and Tommy achieved MIRACLES. Man, there were days I hated them for those workouts, haha. It was intense! But SO worth it! I NEVER imagined I'd be weightlifting (you don't have to -- but I promise you won't be scared to once you are properly taught how to do it safely). EVERY DAY they have a NEW workout. I went 6 weeks straight and never had the same workout twice. After a while, I even memorized some of the complicated names (but that's not necessary, haha). It was always fun! Everyone in the groups would suffer side by side, haha. We were a TEAM! And we'd work out with great music pumping us up in the background.
It was an amazing experience and everyone at Aim Higher was always so helpful. There was no judgment, no "set pace". You went as far as you could. The trainers were there to make sure you did it safely and accurately. They obviously want you to push yourself; but the pace is yours. There were times I had to take breaks, and that was always okay. In the end, I achieved my fitness goals all the same by being consistent with workouts and dieting.
I did CrossFit 2-3 times a week, and yoga once a week. I had NEVER done yoga (or CrossFit) before. I broke a sweat. They offer a bunch of other classes like boxing and Olympic training, but I stuck to CrossFit and Yoga because MY schedule was so limited. But they have classes all day long, so there's always a class to sign up for!
Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for REAL RESULTS, and anyone who is willing to SHOW UP, COMMIT, and WORK HARD. It doesn't matter what fitness level you're at -- I saw everything from heavy-set to super fit. This place is for everyone. If you want to make change, Aim Higher can HELP you get there. But you gotta do the work, too!! read more
