I come here for a morning workout to start off my day (and there is one every hour starting at 5:30 am), and it is the perfect way to get the endorphins pumping. Each day is set to a perfect theme, so this gym always adds variety to your week. I highly recommend trying a workout here and have to say their Saturday workouts are my favorite because you get a full body workout, like some days. Everyone who works here is also very welcoming, so you get excellent customer service. It is at an ideal location- right next to a Publix so you can meal plan after a workout if that is your preference. Highly recommended. F45 is my favorite among interval gyms because I am not a fan of treadmills and running- but that preference is up to you. They also have more space than some F45s. I went to an F45 in Dallas, and that space was tighter than this one. I highly recommend giving them a try.

They exercises are challenging but if you are a beginner or intermediate level you can always do the exercises at your own pace. I love coming here, the workouts are challenging and I always feel like a gave it my best afterwards, also, I feel great and my sleep has improved so much. I saw an ad (see picture) talking about a free 6 week chsllenge and decided I could do a free 6 week challenge. By now I've lost 30 pounds and wanted to get back into a box. I am on Reddit and asked about anyone that had done one and received a barrage of responses that it wasn't actually free. So I text the person that text me about the appointment, introducing himself as Sergio, and asked him about the challenge being free. He ended up cancelling my appointment without asking if that's what I wanted. Had I been given a straight answer about something I felt *uncomfortable* with, I probably would have gone to see what was being offered.

I actually enjoy it and I have also seen results. I like that you can get in and out in an hour and experience the most complete workout you can imagine. The workouts are always different so I do not get bored and they have lots of equipment you can use post workout to cool down or even continue pushing through. I have been with Aim Higher for almost a year and I absolutely love coming here to workout. Not only are the coaches attentive, funny and knowledgeable, but I have also made lots of friends. I appreciate that it feels like a family and no one ever makes you feel bad about your progress or lack thereof. There are no mean spirited individuals and everyone is very motivational. They are located in a great location right off of Bird Rd (sw 40th street) and 38th avenue in one of the rental communities near Merrick Park. There is a garage connected to the building so lack of parking is never a problem, which seems to be an ongoing dilemma in the Gables area (and with other cross fits in the area too). I've tried other gyms/classes such as barre but I didn't enjoy it. I needed something with more movement. The staff is really helpful and nice. Don't be scared to try this gym out. Most importantly, I love that it's an all women's gym. I also really like that they offer classes at night since I get out of work at 6pm. They give you the option of buying their heart rate monitor to keep track of your heart rate during your workouts but I keep track of it with my Fitbit. Give it a shot!

Their class times are less convenient than they used to be. They have one class starting at 6:45 and the next one isn't until 8:30. The latter being too early for me, but 8:30 ends pretty late in the morning (and is after free parking ends on the street). There's definitely some instructors I like more than others. I stopped going regularly over a year ago, when my shoulder was bothering me and I found that some classes I would have to modify a whole zone and it was a struggle to get the instructors to suggest other exercises. Because they continue to play their music very loudly, I've taken to wearing earplugs to protect my ears, but then it's hard for me to hear the instructors. Doing a lot of the exercises on the floor hurts my tailbone and forearms (I wish they had yoga mats) and I miss the rowers (and towels!) they used to have. At least one of their bikes is slightly broken and their ellipticals have been broken at times too. They use monitors to show you what routine to do, but I would say 80% of the time something is cut off like the # of reps. Meanwhile other TVS will have nothing on them. I wish they would invest more effort in making it easy to see what exercises you are doing, especially when they have TVs they aren't using. Almost no one seems to use their heart rate monitors anymore. I stopped bringing mine ages ago, because 50% of the time it wouldn't connect to the screen and I rather use my watch, and who wants to be the one or two people up on the screen? What I find most frustrating and what prompted me to update my rating, is they constantly text me with offers that they will not honor. If they say they are for new members, I've just ignored them, even though it would be great if they didn't text me offers that aren't for me at all. Recently they texted me offering a free week to try their new workout version, with no mention of it being for new members only. Throughout the years, I've noticed changes such as added or removed equipment, but never noticed something drastically new, so I wasn't sure if it had been rolled out already or not. As someone who already works out there occasionally, but hadn't been a member in over a year, I thought maybe they were encouraging me to try to come more frequently like I used to, so I asked if there were any catches and they said no, and I accepted the offering, cancelling another class for next week to go to this one instead. The next day they told me they were revoking the free week. When I expressed my frustration that were not honoring the offer, they called me and aggressively made up a bunch of excuses such as that I texted back too late at night for them to know if I qualified (they texted me after closing time themselves and I responded that same hour) and that their system cannot tell if I come on classpass or not, but not taking ownership of that. Ugh. While I'll continue to partake in their workouts while they are on classpass because as I said I mostly get a good workout, this shady communication was another reminder of why I didn't want to be a full time member. There's been times I was charged a no show fee for a class I didn't sign up for (and therefore didn't attend). When I was a member, I was constantly stressed about if I would be able to use all my classes and I stopped looking forward to my workouts. When I did try to cancel or pause my membership, I always felt harassed about it, having to provide a reason, which is annoying. It has to be done 15 days in advance, which if you are new member, it's especially hard to know after two weeks if you want to keep going or not and I've even had them cancel my membership effective immediately even though I had classes left over! Other times they've been more accommodating, and extended my membership when their was a death in the family and I didn't get to use most of my classes. I wish they were more consistent and reliable with their practices and workouts. So while I recommend trying this gym, I do not recommend becoming a member.

The bathrooms could be cleaner and I wish weights were always in there place but again "comemierda factor is high here"...and by that I mean in English: expect many jackasses. When I arrived the instructor was doing her dry erase board for tomorrow's exercises. I wasn't acknowledged for a few mins until she finished writing on the board. I gave her my name and she sat to get a snack in. I had never been to the gym so I was just standing waiting to understand what I should be doing. Another woman came in and I saw her sit on some of the exercise equipment to the left so I followed and sat down. Once class started I was a little lost. They have mats and weights to use during the class but no one showed me where they were, I had to figure it out. The workout was good and you can tell that the people who are regulars love their workout and have good camaraderie but I would have had a better experience if it was a little more welcoming and explanation on what to expect and where things were.

The scary type of gym people who don't know any better imagine, Except, there was nothing scary about it. Familiar faces, classical Equipment and the knowledge that you were gonna leave better than when you came. Miami Iron Gym takes me back to that. It's a place where grunting is allowed so long as you retail your weights. There's no link alarm and no texting. You don't workout, you train. No wannaBe drill sergeants shouting Etsy quotes at you while they film themselves. It's beautiful: people lifting. Imagine that. I was in town and didn't want to skip Leg day so I paid the drop in fee and spoke to Mr Juan at the front desk who was great. I made very sure to get my moneys worth in their variety of machines. This place is no frills and looks like the place you go to see some genuine changes in your mind and body.

I have been training with my trainer for over a year now and have seen nothing but amazing results. It's crazy how much your body can change when you're actively active and taking care of your body. My trainer / owner Michelle is very hands on and truly gives her attention to every member who walks through her garage door lol. This is the one thing I look forward to each and everyday. Being that my family doesn't live here, the friendships that I have made with the girls at this gym are also immeasurable. If you're looking to get hot, this is the place for you.
