Huge thanks to Diandra L for introducing me to this fabulous gym! In town for a family wedding, I kicked off my Saturday morning with a P.I.T. Conditioning class with Sara. My cousin was my partner in class and there was no lack of motivation as we made our way through 20 stations and got a full body workout including strength and cardio. Sara and Nico were both super welcoming and this gym has an awesome community feel to it where everyone feels welcome. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely be a regular here. Instead, I'll keep it in mind for future visits! read more

I've been on class pass recently to discover new gyms and routines that get me excited to work out and let me tell you Legacy is becoming one of my favorites! I have done this workout at their Wynwood studio and also the Little River location so I knew I was in for a challenging but fun workout. The workout format is PIT (Partner interval training) so you rotate around the room with a partner for 20 stations for 2 minutes each. Depending on the exercise you and your partner alternate for reps or time or work together. If you're someone who has anxiety about trying a new gym and having to pair up with someone you don't know - do not worry about this here! The trainer and also everyone in the class are welcoming and friendly so it's a-ok if you are walking in alone. I love the idea of pairing up with someone who's super into the class because it pushes me to lift heavier, try harder and make them proud. I have gone to Nico's 7:10 am class for the last two weeks and then another Saturday class with Andre. They break up the classes into strength, conditioning and performance days to focus on different styles of training, but I have grown to love the set up of this workout. The studio does have some parking spots in front, but there is also plenty of metered parking nearby as well as a garage. Pro-tip - if you go to a class before 9 am, the meters are free. You'll also want to be sure to bring a towel to this workout as the studio does require it. It's def needed because you work up a sweat and don't want to leave your equipment sweaty for your partner or other class participants. The energy and music during the classes with fuel you to an epic calorie burn, that is gaurenteed! read more

I'm a longtime member at the Legacy Fit Coral Gables location, and I'm still a big fan. The workouts never get old or easier, always a challenge, always a good time. The instructors are great, the energy is high, and the music is always on point (which can truly make or break a workout). As a fitness brand, Legacy has built a loyal community of people who love not just working out but the overall experience. read more

Wow, this class was quite challenging, but I really did appreciate it and it really taught me to go above and beyond we're working out and I love how you do it with a partners and it's kind of cool because your partner can really challenge you to do more than what you think you can and it was awesome and I love the format of it and the people who are at the class and everyone was very positive and uplifting, and it was an overall amazing workout class. I'll definitely be coming back here. read more

I love coming here for my morning workouts. The classes are efficient but effective. They really get the job done. The studio itself is clean, has lots of machines. All of the trainers are super pleasant and helpful. In general, it does feel like a community. read more

Love Legacy!! Sara is such an amazing coach. She has had a big impact on my health and wellbeing since I joined Legacy. She is very knowledgeable about fitness and health and is always anticipating to provide me with equipment that caters to my abilities or there to recommend an alternate exercise that I can do. She pushes me and has given me the confidence to improve my fitness. I also really appreciate her post workout stretch routine, which helps with my recovery. Thank you Sara! read more

I have been coming here for over a year and I love Nico's and Margaret's classes. They have a consistent schedule and Nico is usually teaching every morning. The 7:10am class and 9:30am class are full of energy from the members to the music. Everyone is super friendly and if you go at the same time everyday the faces become very familiar. It is a class where you partner up with someone but it's not as nerve-wracking as it sounds. People are either there to have a great time/workout or simply to get in & out, but no one judges or has been impatient in my entire experience. They push you to do better and when you're done it's the most rewarding feeling. The classes hardly get easier, but the first class is probably the hardest. I definitely recommend it if you don't like going to the gym alone. There are strength days focused on heavy weight movements and machines, conditioning days that have a lot of cardio and light weights, and performance which is agility and athletic training. read more

A gym with fantastic instructors, who care about you doing exercises correctly and give you the necessary push to reach new limits. Instructors Payton and Nicole have impressively high energy; Payton often jumps in and does the exercises with you, Nicole motivates you to work hard while creating a fun environment. Best of all, the camaraderie between the students is warm and supportive - when I have trouble with an exercise my partners encourage me without fail. Not only am I impressed by the mix in workouts, but I also enjoy the overall experience and am happy to have joined. read more

The definition of family is Legacy Fit! I'm not a workout person and what I really liked about this gym is how you are able to work with a partner that holds you accountable. NIKKI and Peyton are beasts! If you are consistent, you can really see the results within weeks. They are also there to instruct you every step of the way. The location is great and members/staff are very welcoming! I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone. They also have classes at any time of the day which makes it more flexible for you to be able to get your workout in. In addition, they hold events for members which I think it's pretty cool for making long term relationships. Legacy Fit Fan 4 life read more

Recently checked out this gym wanting to mix up my fitness program . First of all, I thought the workout was great. Definitely pushed me to the limit. I really liked getting paired with someone to do the workout...motivating and fun. However, the initial interaction with the owner/manager was enough to make me not want to sign up. Abrasive, rude and inflexible. Forget to bring your towel to the first class? You're SOL. $10, no exceptions. Who does that? This guy does. Also felt interrogated rather than welcomed into the gym. I couldn't stand that initial first interaction and even though the gym was great, he ruined the entire experience. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere. read more

READ THE CONTRACT - SHARK LIKE INITIATION TACTICS TWO MONTH PENALTY FEE + 60 Day notice (another two months) + Forfeiture of Last Month's Deposit (Paid at Initiation) Excessively high cancelation charges, which they fail to tell you about. I specifically asked if I could cancel anytime, knowing I was only going to be able to attend the gym for a certain period of time. Ultimately, the cancelation fee is 5 months if you cancel within the first 12 months. The contract reads per the below "I understand that if I wish to cancel I must provide written notification sixty (60) days prior to my cancelation date and pay a fee equal to two (2) months of payment membership dues. I also understand that failure to complete my training does not affect my obligation to pay such dues in full." In addition, last month's payment was paid upfront, which was also kept. The workout is great and so are the trainers. If you plan on attending for more than a year I recommend the gym as the workouts are great. Just be careful of sneaky initiation tactics. read more

Another great fitness find thanks to ClassPass! Legacy Fit boasts two locations, one in Coral Gables and one in Wynwood. The Gables outpost is managed by Payton Summer who teaches all the morning classes which is when I usually go. He's super welcoming, motivating, and tough. This isn't the type of workout you can just "get by" doing. You need to be all in and energized if you're going to make it through. The format is PIT which stands for Partner Interval Training. I love how the mascot is a pitbull because of it. Each class involves a circuit of 20 stations that you do for two minutes each with a partner. The days rotate focus between Strength, Conditioning, and Performance, so the routine changes but the general equipment is the same. You usually rotate on and off equipment with your partner, sometimes work together, and are generally motivating one another along the way. If you are coming alone, don't worry! They'll pair you off with someone. There's a quick warmup and cool down at the end and you're off in an hour. There are showers but no towels in the bathroom or fitness floor, so be sure to bring! The gym has a few parking spots right in front, or there is metered street parking around which I could see being hard to find in peak hours, but in the early mornings, it's a-ok. The clientele here is seriously fit, which is inspiring to me and proves that this regimen works! read more

Tough gym!!! LOVED IT. Kicked my butt up and down, side to side, ALL over that gym. This gym brings the intensity all around. Music is great really gets you pumped and into the mood to get that workout we all deserve. Each class begins with a good warmup for about 5-7 minutes to get that heart beat up. Once that's done you go over to the board to see what the plan is for that day. The instructions are very clear and they will be demonstrating each exercise for you at the start. Once they go over it they will pair you up with another person in the class and that will be your partner for the remainder of the session. So they do a HITT workout with a partner. So Two minutes straight on each station with a 20 second rest but more like a 20 second rotation time. It really does get that pump you want between the water bags (boxing), the sleds in the middle of the floor, the machine weights or free weights you truly get the best all around workout no matter what class. They truly live and breath their NoDaysOff mentality! They do have showers and a decent locker room for you to change and get ready for work. They are in a prime location in coral gables, the parking isn't the best but once you find it your good to go! They offer pricing and various options for any clientele. From drop in pricing to month-to-month and others to help you achieve your fitness goal. read more

I've never been "a gym person". Legacy Fit is so much more than a gym. It has changed the game for me. I would always find an excuse not to go and now I'm upset when I'm unable to. Legacy is a community and a promise to never take a day off on yourself and leave it all on the turf. It's been just as beneficial for my mental health as it has for physical. My body composition is changing in a way I've never seen in my lifetime. It's a quick 60 minutes (20-2 minute stations) completed in intervals with your partner. The coaches, Nikki, Peyton, Eli, Coffee are all amazing and passionate. They truly make a group session feel like 1:1, knowing everyone by name and what they need (modifications, etc.). If you're not motivated, their energy, their encouragement, the music, and the neon light's will get you there. read more

My husband and I joined a couple of months ago and we love it (even if they kick our butts). Truth is I've tried all types of workouts over the years and none are as effective and fun as Legacy Fit. Peyton is awesome and The Partner In Training (P.I.T) concept really helps keep you engaged and committed. I highly recommend Legacy Fit! read more

I'm not one to enjoy going to the gym but I can say this is the one gym that I've gone to that I enjoy and have seen results. The coaches (Paton & Nikki) are fantastic. They motivate and push you to your best potential. The partner interval training helps you push yourself and having a Team supporting you throughout the workout pushes you to achieve more than you thought possible. The workouts aren't easy and can be challenging but you feel great after you've done them. It's pretty addictive so highly recommend. read more

Most importantly, I want to thank Jon ( Coral Gables at location) very much for giving me and my husband a very nice welcome during our first class today. Also the HIIT PERFORMANCE was a great challenge and we enjoyed every minute there! Arrange equipments, good space and clean studio. They care the actual protocols for cleaning and protection (have liquid cleaning and towels at each station) as well as is required. Very good location and easy parking. See you soon read more

Legacy Fit Coral Gables location, formally known as Iron Tribe. I'm a huge fan of Legacy Fit and this is their new location opening September 2107. Exact dates not known yet. Famous for their P.I.T (Partner Interval Training), Legacy Fit is original and the best way to get in shape, with a partner that motivates you during your workout. You move from station to station in their famous boot camp classes and get pushed to your limits by one of their trainers. This location is conveniently located next to Miracle Mile almost directly across from Pollo Tropical. There is street parking available and parking garage nearby. Will review more once location officially opens. read more

Well, I have known of Manning Sumner for a while. I knew he was a retired football player, and that he is jacked. I have recently moved back down from Tampa and wanted to try new fitness routines. Ive done bootcamp, f45, crossfit, but never really got into them. I gave Legacy a try and was very pleasantly surprised. You work out with a partner, and thus "motivate" each other while doing the exercises. And since you have about 10 second intervals while your partner does their turn, you can go heavy because you have a little time to recover then go at it again. Plus the trainer I had, Peyton, was a badass too. Highly recommended! read more

100% lived up to the hype. This gym has all the components of fitness between interval training to strength training. The best part is that you're with a partner as you go through the 20 stations. This keeps you motivated and allows for friendly competition. From the first day, when asked your goals, to each and everyday you feel empowered. read more

Operated by Peyton Sumner brother of Wynwood's location Manning Sumner, and Ron. This workout brings on a whole new take on interval training encouraging you to push through workouts by pairing you with a partner. Gym goers take their time spent inside Legacy Fit seriously, so you can ascertain you will be motivated to move! ClassPass facilitated as a tool to search for a new local gym. This is how I came across Legacy Fit and if you sense my enthusiasm from this review, you can bet I signed up for an annual membership just after my second class. You'll find a variety of veterans and newbies --such as myself, that commit to attending either unlimited weekly classes, 3x weekly or 2x weekly. As a runner and regular yoga practitioner, I find these packages to be the perfect fit to bring dynamism to my Movement training. In just a few classes, I already find my yoga and running training to be stronger. I feel stronger and my hubby has even complimented me on my subtle, yet noticeable change. This early on, it could just be my attitude, but I'll take the newfound confidence. I very much look forward to my continued progress and where I'll be within 6 months of training. If you're considering giving Legacy Fit a try, throw away your hesitation and just do it. After all, what's there to lose, your first class is free! Sidenote: for those concerned with the 60-day advance cancellation notice, as a member of Equinox, this seems to be a standard practice. They are upfront about their policies and there are no hidden fees. If you're searching for a clean gym with motivated and enthusiatic trainers that aim to give you results, then this is the place for you. read more

Yo Master P. Just wanted to say thank you. The results that I've seen over the past 3 months are impressive. The program that you all have in place is not just motivating, but the methodology is evidenced based. Using the "PIT" model, that is using a partner in training, is not only backed by research to increase the intensity of individual workouts, but it also helps in overall consistency. I'll stop ranting. Just wanted to give you credit for the added motivation and for a stellar program. Roll Tide. War Eagle. read more

Wonderful place to workout! Payton and Ron are great trainers and are always giving you an extra push on harder days. I have been going since November and would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their curves but slim down in the right areas. I had been doing mostly cardio before this and only got thin and slanky. I also lost my butt. Now, I am more tone, have lost inches but at the same time have kept my curves. People of all ages attend and the environment is very friendly. If you dont have a partner, it is easy to find one on the spot during a class. read more

I am a cross fitter and wanted to try something different while traveling for work. Had a great workout and experience with the coach and class. They were hard working and pushed me to work hard. Joined the week they opened. Heard really good things about them from friends who visited their original gym location near Downtown and they were right. If you really want to witness results, this is the gym to join. I've attended classes with Peyton, Ron and Legend as my trainers and their all awesome. The entire staff is very friendly and make you feel like your part of a family. The workouts are intense but extremely rewarding. Its a complete full body workout. I've always tried to stay fit but this has elevated me to another level and it only took a month or two to really notice it. I leave each workout feeling lighter, stronger and more agile. I highly recommend you try the free class. The only cons i could find are that the gym near Downtown offers different classes (i.e. calisthenics classes) that the Gables gym doesnt offer, not yet at least. Also, when i asked, i had to pay an additional $40 to my monthly rate if i wanted to attend a few class at the Miami/Downtown gym. I found that unreasonable, i figure if you want to scale your gym and number of clients you should allow us to attend any of their gym locations. Maybe they have their reasons or the policy has changed since i asked. read more

Legacy Fit is definitely not your average gym. Sure, their P.I.T. (Partner Interval Trainning) workouts are unique, but what really sets them apart is the personal touch and work ethic of their staff. Ron, Payton and Jonathan really are the best. I am no social butterfly, but from the first time I stepped into the building, I felt like part of the team. With the right balance between encouragement and support, they have mastered the ability to make a very challenging workout feel like the best part of your day. My impresion in every class is that they take their job and my time very seriously and are always happy to guide you and help you better your performance in any way they can. Also, their routines are structured in a way where you can push yourself as much as you want and bend the workout to your specific goal, being it weight loss, leaning out or gainning muscle. If you are looking for an intense, challenging workout in a friendly, healthy environment, you are looking for Legacy Fit Coral Gables. read more

Every day a different routine, just an amazing balance of workouts. I highly recommend whoever is reading this review to try it, you will be very happy with the results and fast. Words can't express how good they are!! TRY IT!!! read more

Partner Interval Training (PIT) is the basis of the Legacy Fit workout. At the start of each class, the trainers (Peyton and Ron) line everyone up side-by-side and assign partners. If you want to be with someone in particular, they allow for that too (stand beside them). Then, the trainers walk you through all 20 stations. Yes-- 20! Exercises range from battle ropes and punching bags to sumo squats and plank holds. Two minutes on, 25 seconds off, x20. What makes the workout special is that it is with a partner taking turns at each station. Your partner holds you accountable, motivates you, and pushes you to work harder. All the while, the trainer is there to correct your form, mind the time, and keep you motivated. If you're lucky, the trainer will jump on the sled you're pushing to make your workout even harder. If you ever played sports as a kid, this will remind you of that. You and your partner are team, which makes for great camaraderie in the gym. The studio itself is clean, with mens & womens locker rooms equipped with showers and lockers. They sell a variety of cold beverages and also have some ICE COLD water fountains. Last thing: while this is an offshoot of the other Legacy Fit locations, the culture is entirely different. The passion by which Ron and Peyton care for their clients is unrivaled. It's worth finding out for yourself. read more

My friend has been going to Legacy Fit (Wynwood) for about 4 years. I've been hearing all about it, seen his frequent posts on Instagram. Now I know what all the fuss is about. This is how you should train. Every single muscle group is engaged every session, including the most important muscle: your heart. Cardio and strength training are the King and Queen here. Another reason Legacy Fit stands out from the rest is the environment. It starts from the top down. Everyone is supportive and enthusiastic. Partnering up with another person for each workout then collectively training with everyone else in attendance is a recipe for success in fitness. Peyton and Ron got it going on here at Legacy Fit Coral Gables. read more

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I don't believe anyone or anything is perfect but Legacy is a winner. I'm a former trainer and avid fitness freak and love the workouts, energy and no BS at Legacy. You get in, get strong, get fast and get out. No drama and lots and lots of awesome camaraderie. Just go in and try it. You'll soon realize you'll want your Legacy fix. Bring a friend or spouse and push each other. I found this is a way of adding even more fun and effort to the workout. It's non stop pushing but I love it. read more

Solid workout in the heart of the Gables! I took my first class tonight and I really liked it! It kicked my booty, but I love the feeling of completely a workout with jello legs! Today's class was a strength class so there was heavier weights that forced me to push myself. 20 stations, 2min each and 25 seconds in between. I loved the heavy sled pulls and the rower. Partner interval training is their motto, where you work in partners and push each other through reps or time goals. At the beginning of class I was worried there'd be too much rest waiting for my partner to do reps, but about four stations in I realized that the reps add up and the little breaks are needed to keep pushing. Bring your own towel though, they aren't provided there, and believe me, you sweat ALOT! They have three different classes, strength, performance, and conditioning so I am excited to try a different class and see how it differs. With lots of gym options in the Gables, they definitely have it figured out at Legacy Fit! read more
