The vibe and energy of every class is engaging and fun!! No two classes are the same, everyone is friendly and encouraging. I love the idea of going to the gym with my tru tribe!! #tru12

1000% yes! This place is incredible and I can't believe I'm just now finding out about it. I joined class pass just to try out fitness centers in Miami and came across TruFusion and it's exactly everything that it says; a fusion of fitness and fabulousness (not a real word, but you get the point) and it was great! The place is clean and if you've been following my reviews, you know I'm about that cleanliness in addition to the greet. When I walked in, they were all smiles and efficient at checking me in. After Chloe checked me in, she offered me a tour, which makes a difference. It was incredible! And that cycling class with Amanda is no joke but is sooooo worth it. There's no doubt in my mind that I'll be back and I can't wait. Check them out and enjoy!

Come here for the most intense workout of your life!

The classes here are intense in a good way. I've tried hot yoga and hot pilates. The instructors play motivating tunes and keep you hyped throughout the class. The studio is really nice with tons of lockers and showers in the bathroom. A great workout experience!

Trufusion is the perfect gym in my opinion. As someone who is strongly opposed to using machines at traditional gyms, I love the group fitness initiative. Trufusion has a modern and sleek look, and for the amount of hot classes they offer (creating lots of sweaty customers) it smells amazing too, kind of like essential oils. The check in process is efficiently done through an iPad at the front desk. Also, parking in the garage is validated, which is worth mentioning. I really appreciate an entire garage and easy parking for a workout class. They also have a ton of free lockers, so no worries about where to put your gym bag, wallet, etc. At Trufusion, I have only ever taken Tru Hot Pilates (60) with Brooke. She is full of energy and I love the sweaty cardio exercise we get with light weights. I would love to try some of their other classes, as they offer a wide variety, from cycling to HIIT to pilates to boxing. I attend through Classpass, but they offer memberships. Two things that are important to note: You must be early or on time to your workout because they do not accept late arrivals (4 min policy I believe). Also, they have showers on-site but there are only 3, which means if you are booking it to work after an early morning pilates, you may have to wait a little while. Otherwise, perfect workout studio.

No there is no child care.

Is the hot yoga or hot Pilates here comparable to that at CorePower Yoga? I'm trying to find Miami's version of CPY.

The hot pilates at trufusion is a mixture of mat pilates, cardio, body weight exercises, and it's all fused with a little bit of yoga. The yoga varies a bit more... they have different classes like Power vinyasa, express 45 minute classes, and a… Read more

Prana Yoga offers 3 studios, with the back room being the nicest, and a wide variety of class levels and times. Metered parking is available right in front for .50 cents every 15 minutes. Free street parking is available about a block away. There are a plethora of teachers to choose from so your bound to find one that you like. Ian, Eric, and Silvia are all great! I did an Intermediate class with each of them and it was wonderful! They ask permission to help position you and exude open, accepting, and non judgmental vibes. The instruction was easy to follow and they also did most of the poses themselves. Ian ended the class with a relaxing aromatherapy, which I thoroughly enjoyed. There is only one teacher that I am not at all fond of, Ana. I like to look at the teacher in the pose to make sure I am following correctly. Ana does not actually do any poses herself, just instructs so I find myself looking at other participants for visual guidance. To add to that, I find her instruction difficult to follow. She makes frequent references in what I assume is Indian, but I don't have a clue what she is saying. I also really appreciate when the instructor helps position me correctly, but Ana does not. Instead she tries to instruct you into correct position, which doesn't help me because her instruction is hard to follow!! I just get an arrogant vibe from her, and I do not leave her class feeling relaxed or with good energy. Anyway, the studio plays music during the practice, and I prefer quiet, but not too big of a deal. I find the walk-in class to be overpriced at $20, but that seems to be the going rate at most studios. I managed to get a Groupon deal which is the only reason I considered Prana Yoga initially, and if you buy a bundle it's a better deal. I now purchased 20 classes for $200, which is very reasonable. I look forward to continuing my practice at Prana Yoga, and avoiding Ana! Lol :)

Buddha Shack isn't a regular yoga studio, it's a cool yoga studio…read more As I traipse around the city using ClassPass, I've now been to Buddha Shack three times. Most recently, I went to Buddha Burn with Jenna on a Sunday afternoon. This is the perfect kind of sweat you want before starting your week. It's intense and fast paced, but the music keeps you going, and she's sure to start and end with plenty of time to stay centered and meditate. I've also tried out Buddha Sculpt which was similar to CorePower, and also went one time where I was the only person there. I was super nervous, but Jenna put me at ease and still ran an awesome private class. The design of this studio is urban and hip, while still being serene. I love the gray walls, wood floor, and Buddha accents. They also excel at nice extra touches like the eucalyptus cold towels at the end, as well as complimentary regular dry towels for when you start sweating (which you will). Parking in the Grove can be a chore sometimes, so give yourself extra time if you're driving in. It's located in the same plaza as the Bookstore in the Grove, a bit hidden behind the plaza's stairs. Afterwards, there are so many perfect spots to grab a bite or coffee! Talk about one perfect day.

Confession: I like yoga a lot I just don't like going to yoga…read more I am very particular when it comes to instructors. When I heard that Jenna was going to be affiliated with Buddha Shack, I was immediately intrigued. I have taken other fitness classes with the Shack's co-founder Jenna and was pretty confident that I'd like her Hip-Hop Buddha Burn class but I was wrong: I didn't "like" Jenna's class, I loved it. The class is challenging with less ohm/chanting and more sweating. The music is so good: playlists feature the likes of J. Cole, Drake, Chance the Rapper along with Coldplay and Bob Marley. The hour long class goes by fast and once I'm sitting up from Savasana I am reminded why I love yoga: I am refocused, happy and calm. Buddha Shack is a beautiful, intimate, very clean, welcoming space. The neon sign above the front desk is my favorite decoration followed closely by the little Yoga Joes (the classic green plastic army men molded into yoga poses). The yoga room itself is heated but not too hot. It is perfectly, dimly lit. There is a mirrored wall but there is also plenty of wall space without mirrors if you prefer to not look at yourself. Things to know before you go: * If you don't own a yoga mat or forgot to bring it, you can rent one at the studio for a minimal fee. You can also purchase water and they have towels (which you will need as you will sweat). * The studio is in the courtyard near Akashi in Coconut Grove, next to a bike shop. * There is plenty of street parking. * Buddha Shack has a bathroom equipped with a shower.

Every class I attend, I feel like I'm surrounded by friends (no judgment here!). In fact, I love taking friends who are new to yoga to the community class here on Friday nights. The proceeds benefit a different local charity every month, and afterwards, we usually get dinner together somewhere on Commodore. There is street parking here all along Commodore and Grand, which can get busy at certain times, but if you're a Grovite like me, there is bicycle parking right across from the studio. The cost of classes is average, and they run deals at different points throughout the year, which are amazing for returning students! This studio at Bikram Hot Yoga Miami is hugemongeous compared to others i've been to. The instructors are all very friendly and they all have their own way of conducting the class. Some just stand on the platform and go through the whole routine without ever moving. Others like to move around a bit and call you out by name to make sure you're challenging yourself and doing the pose correctly which is sometimes a bit emabrrassing if you're a regular...but like Nicol S. said there is a good mix of people from beginners to more advanced, really young to very mature, fit and a bit on the heavier side, etc.... PLUS, they have a very cool special for First-Time locals: unlimited classes for $39!!!! which is outstanding considering this yoga practice is not cheap!!! Be prepared to sweat,,,I mean get drenched due to the heater blasting for 90 minutes straight!!! Love it!
