Finally got lucky early this morning to be able to order some Sando's. We got the chicken and tonkatsu, the egg and the strawberry. I had the egg and it was just as good as I expected it to be. Very flavorful, the bread is so soft and has a slight sweetness. The strawberry was disappointing. Too much cream and too little strawberries. My family had the meat ones and gave them great reviews as well. The service was excellent during pick up and ordering on line was easy. They are a bit on the pricey side but as a treat every once in a while it's worth it, they are really good! read more

I have been seeing this on social media so me and the girls decided to make it an early lunch date. It's a small place that doesn't look like it has much but the menu options will take you straight to Japan. The staff were friendly and helped to make selections, but of course we tried pretty much everything! The sushi is flown in from Japan and you can taste the quality (we had the tuna flight). There were 3 different types of tuna that ranged from your more lean to more fatty dense flavors. The sandos were delicious! We had the egg, chicken katsu, and my girls also tried the pork (I cont eat that but they said it was delicious). We were disappointed that they had none of the wagu, but that just gave us a reason to come back! For dessert, we had the strawberry cream and the strawberry matcha...both were great and the milk bread was so soft. The Japanese sodas were a hit and I tried the Kona coffee to go. I don't drink milk and didn't realize it was coffee plus so it wasn't for me but was still very tasty if that's what you enjoy. Pretty expensive sandwich for the price. There service is pretty good there is only 1 bathroom in entire place for both customers and employees so that could be inconvenient. The chicken Katsu was only ok . The ambiance gives off that of a calm Asian themed sushi place. read more

This is a tough review for me. I really wanted it to be better than what it was, I was hoping for it to transport me back to my days in Japan, but unfortunately it didn't. I wanted to rate it at about 3.5 stars, but rounded up since they're for sure not 3 stars. I will say that the sandwiches are good, but not amazing. It might also be that I had really high expectations going in, no doubt because of my time in Japan. Our favorite sandwich was the Chicken Katsu, followed by the Strawberries and Cream, followed by the Egg. The staff were great and super helpful. Honestly, I am definitely looking to come back at night and try out the Mumu side of the restaurant, because some of what they have sounds amazing!! I arrived at 12:30 hoping to try the sandos but sadly they were already sold out by then. The place is small with limited sitting area but ideal for a nice quick lunch. The sushi to-go is a pricy but you would expect the quality to match the price. Sadly, the sushi we got didn't quite feel at the quality of the price I was paying for it. The best one was the scallop, salmon and tuna are very mid, as well as the others. It's fresh but not the best quality. I hope I get to try the sandos at some point but seeing as they get sold out too soon I don't think I'll be taking my chance anytime in the near future. This small Japanese Sando and Sushi restaurant is on 27th Ave between 28th St and 27th St. The Sign outside says Asian Bistro. I was really in the mood for sushi, but I ran out of time during lunch and just got the grab-and-go options in the freestanding fridge that's near the food counter. Wow, that's really all you need! They had exceptional sashimi bowl options with very fresh fish and roe. Look carefully and pick out the one you like. It's all over a bed of sushi rice that's just right. The must-have item at this place is the strawberries and cream Sando that's pre-packed and ready to go. They sell out quickly, according to the host. I arrived at 11:30 AM on a Monday and they were almost sold out. They have some tables and a bar area for you to sit, but it's limited and cramped. There was so much hype for this place I wanted to try it badly but they were always sold out. I finally got my hands on the famous sandos. I ordered the tamago sando, chicken katsu sando, and the strawberry sando. I really wanted to like these sando but they were not it for me. Which I think should be available everyday especially if it is in the menu. They only have a limited menu and weekdays they only offer sandwiches. We ended up not eating here. 08/2025 Rating: 3.5 Just interested in the Sandos and based on what I learned from my research, you are able to place an online order at 6pm for the next day via their website. After many tries, I finally lucked out yesterday. Very curious if these Sandos are as good as the ones we had in Japan years ago. Located near US1 and the new Grove Central, it's was quite a drive for me and parking is scarce. We lucked out and to found a street parking nearby on this early Saturday morning. RESTAURANT: As soon as we spotted the restaurant, who's name outside they have yet to change, we saw a long line out the door. The restaurant itself is not very big. The decor is minimal but complimentary of the contemporary furnitures that are the table and chairs. The white counter is huge and empty at this time, but I imagine it full of omakase customers at night. The space is neat and clean, including the restroom. SERVICE: We had very brief interaction with the staff. We went in and picked up our order and ate and left. From what I witnessed, the staff were really patient with explaining to everyone in the line the situation with the sandos. They had a line for people walking in and in that line someone is taking credit card payment and someone and on the other side someone is assiting with pick up orders. FOOD: We were able to snag the egg sando, tonkotsu and the strawberry and cream sando. The presentation is truly pleasing to eyes, including the packaging. The bread is thick, fresh and fluffy. The egg sando looked vibrant especially that whole boiled egg with it's bright, ozzy yoke in the middle. The egg salad was good, although not as good as my mom's. Could use a little bit of salt and pepper and maybe some paprika, but it was satisfying nonetheless. The tonkotsu was also good. The light slaw with the porkchop had a nice and subtle flavor. I do wish that the meat was little bigger and that there were more slaw. Then the strawberry cream; this tasted as I remember. I love the airiness of the cream and its subtle sweetness that complements the light tartness of the strawberries. Everything tasted really fresh. There is an oven fridge with a fresh selection of ready to eat sushi but no more sandos. They have a variety of drink options that are in bottles and cans. Overall, this was a nice experience. It definitely brought me back to our Japan trip in 2019. But for over $50 for three sandwiches that you have to order the day before at a specific time or they will sell out, and then drive all the way there and find and pay parking, I don't think it's worth it. I understand the pricepoint with their attention to quality and detail with packaging and the location; although the food is good, it did not blow my mind per se nor is it something that I can afford on a weekly basis. I was so thrilled to see one of the Japanese sandwich places open up few blocks from my house! We came around 10am to get a couple egg salad Sandos for our drive to Tampa... well they are not open for business inside so we ordered from the window/drive thru, which was fine as they had couple stools outside and a little table. There was nobody else there waiting for food at all. They did not have egg salad, or the beef ---- so I ordered chicken and a strawberry sando. Strawberry was ok (with only 3 pieces of sliced strawberries) for $14! And the chicken katsu was inedible... it was a tiny piece of chicken with extra breading and extra deep fried that seemed as though it was leftover from day before and fried again. Grisly and absolutely gross. The pork my bf had was pretty bad too. 3 sandos and a coke for $53! We waited 40 minutes for this (there was nobody else there!). Welp, guess we won't be going back... Was craving a sando and happened to be in Miami and went a little crazy trying a few different ones, I had the egg one, the matcha strawberry one and the Wagyu. I personally can't complain. I went to both locations, not a fan of the one in Wynwood. The egg was rich and satisfying,the matcha strawberry one was light, airy and just the right amount of sweetness and the Wagyu one was rich fatty and melted in my mouth. This Japanese cafe checks off all the boxes. They've got ultra fresh sushi, free parking in the back, a ventanita, a ton of indoor seating, gorgeous fun cafes, and of course, sandos. This gorgeous egg sando may be the best in the city with a gorgeous runny egg. It's the only sando in Miami that has reminded me of Japan. They recently expanded their menu with new drinks, the salted Carmel latte is a can't miss. We got it over ice. We tried the Wagyu Katsu Sando and she was gorgeous. We also tried something different their Oozy Cheese Pork Katsu. She was ooey she was gooey and complex. But of course you can't have a Sando without a dessert Sando, this one combines red bean and matcha and it's delicious. What makes their sandos stand out is because it's the only spot in Miami that actually nails the soft pillowy bread. They only make small batches of their sandos, which feels unnecessarily exclusive and honestly frustrating. And the prices? Outrageous. $16 for a single sando is just insane--like they're treating them as if they were made of gold. I ordered two: the egg sando (usually my favorite anywhere else) and the strawberries & cream. Both looked cute, but the flavor was just... okay. The egg one was fine, nothing special, and the strawberries & cream felt more about presentation than taste. For $16 a piece, I was expecting something mind-blowing, not just average. On top of that, the location is extremely far, which made the whole experience even less worth it. Between the distance, the ridiculous prices, and the underwhelming flavor, I left feeling like I wasted my time and money. Save your money and definitely don't make the drive. The cream in the strawberries was nice but it only had those four strawberry slices in the sandwich. I felt like I could've made this at home. The employees are very kind but they don't know what they're doing yet. They don't have a drink menu and don't ask what you want to drink. Turns out they only have soda. They said no tea. Then came back and said they have tea. Everyone's food came out at different times and took way too long. There was only 1 other table in the restaurant. We couldn't eat together. 2 out of 4 sandwiches came out wrong. So the last person had to wait again for it to be remade. The rainbow roll was falling apart and the tuna had red spots on it so we didn't eat that part. Head chef eating while he cooked. Tiny salad with a few pieces of lettuce and some croutons was I think $12 and it was the bad parts of the lettuce. It was TINY. And the whole reason we went was the strawberry sandos and the it looked beautiful but the bread and whipped cream was stiff and dry and the strawberries were not very fresh. I found this spot on instagram and immediately wanted to come check it out as I've always wanted to try the strawberry and cream style sandos. We got the chicken katsu, the tonkatsu, the matcha strawberry sando, and the ham sando. All of which were delicious. My personal favorite was the chicken katsu, the chicken itself was very juicy and tender with a crispy exterior. I also greatly enjoyed the fresh cabbage inside and the sweet savory sauce. The common denominator for these sandwiches was the bread, it was so soft and light, it's nothing like I've ever tried before. Food aside, the customer service was also good.
