I have been seeing this on social media so me and the girls decided to make it an early lunch date. It's a small place that doesn't look like it has much but the menu options will take you straight to Japan. The staff were friendly and helped to make selections, but of course we tried pretty much everything! The sushi is flown in from Japan and you can taste the quality (we had the tuna flight). There were 3 different types of tuna that ranged from your more lean to more fatty dense flavors. The sandos were delicious! We had the egg, chicken katsu, and my girls also tried the pork (I cont eat that but they said it was delicious). We were disappointed that they had none of the wagu, but that just gave us a reason to come back! For dessert, we had the strawberry cream and the strawberry matcha...both were great and the milk bread was so soft. The Japanese sodas were a hit and I tried the Kona coffee to go. I don't drink milk and didn't realize it was coffee plus so it wasn't for me but was still very tasty if that's what you enjoy. Overall we had a great experience and recommend it for something new to try when you are in the area.

I made it my mission to go here and i was so let down. the bread was hard and not fluffy as I thought it would be. it was almost like biting into a sponge. i'm not sure if it was because of how long the sando was sitting there. but it wasn't good and i will not be returning :/

This is a tough review for me. I really wanted it to be better than what it was, I was hoping for it to transport me back to my days in Japan, but unfortunately it didn't. I wanted to rate it at about 3.5 stars, but rounded up since they're for sure not 3 stars. I will say that the sandwiches are good, but not amazing. It might also be that I had really high expectations going in, no doubt because of my time in Japan. Our favorite sandwich was the Chicken Katsu, followed by the Strawberries and Cream, followed by the Egg. The staff were great and super helpful. Honestly, I am definitely looking to come back at night and try out the Mumu side of the restaurant, because some of what they have sounds amazing!! I think it's a definite try if you haven't yet, and see for yourself what you think. If you do, let me know what you thought.

I arrived at 12:30 hoping to try the sandos but sadly they were already sold out by then. The place is small with limited sitting area but ideal for a nice quick lunch. The sushi to-go is a pricy but you would expect the quality to match the price. Sadly, the sushi we got didn't quite feel at the quality of the price I was paying for it. The best one was the scallop, salmon and tuna are very mid, as well as the others. It's fresh but not the best quality. I hope I get to try the sandos at some point but seeing as they get sold out too soon I don't think I'll be taking my chance anytime in the near future. Especially since eating sushi any earlier than 12 is not something I do very often.

Nice reusable bag with to-go orders.

This small Japanese Sando and Sushi restaurant is on 27th Ave between 28th St and 27th St. The Sign outside says Asian Bistro. I was really in the mood for sushi, but I ran out of time during lunch and just got the grab-and-go options in the freestanding fridge that's near the food counter. Wow, that's really all you need! They had exceptional sashimi bowl options with very fresh fish and roe. Look carefully and pick out the one you like. It's all over a bed of sushi rice that's just right. The must-have item at this place is the strawberries and cream Sando that's pre-packed and ready to go. They sell out quickly, according to the host. I arrived at 11:30 AM on a Monday and they were almost sold out. They have some tables and a bar area for you to sit, but it's limited and cramped. I'm sure the line outside gets long during peak hours. It's worth the wait.

Had a craving for an egg sando and was so excited when I saw this one.Its amazing with a perfectly cooked jammy egg in the center. Egg salad made with kewpie mayo on shokupan It was superb. We did pickup which was quick and convenient. I'll be trying the katsu when I return. Ambiance seems pretty chill

There was so much hype for this place I wanted to try it badly but they were always sold out. I finally got my hands on the famous sandos. I ordered the tamago sando, chicken katsu sando, and the strawberry sando. I really wanted to like these sando but they were not it for me. The restaurant also needs some more decorations, looks a bit plain. The cashier was friendly and helpful but it does take a long wait to get the sandos. Overall, I'm glad a tried them but it was a one time purchase.

Chai latte was great and these sweet sandos were soo yummy!! The bread was almost like churro! The service was great and the lady was so sweet. It's a small spot with a few tables and really cute day vibes.

First time at this restaurant. I went with my mother and my sister and the place was clean. We wanted sushi and they informed us sushi is only available in the weekend. Which I think should be available everyday especially if it is in the menu. They only have a limited menu and weekdays they only offer sandwiches. We ended up not eating here. The employees did have great customer service.

As someone who's gone to Japan, these are the closest things i've had since. The egg sando obviously isn't the same or as good, but the sweet Strawberry or Matcha sandos were definitely worth it. Plus, they give you a cute bag to go!

Tried a few new items on their menu and was surprised that they have made their sando choices with more variety, I tried the golden ebi sando and it was delish, crispy warm and seasoned perfectly and was balanced with a slight spicy dusting of togarashi on top. They also have coffee now and the coffee I ordered was well balanced and not too sweet, I loved it.

    Wagyu.
    Lola F.

Was craving a sando and happened to be in Miami and went a little crazy trying a few different ones, I had the egg one, the matcha strawberry one and the Wagyu. I personally can't complain. I went to both locations, not a fan of the one in Wynwood. The egg was rich and satisfying, the matcha strawberry one was light, airy and just the right amount of sweetness and the Wagyu one was rich fatty and melted in my mouth. The service was good in both locations but exceptional in this one. I also like that it's larger and less cramped.

The food is ok. If you don't like onion I don't recommend you ordering this. I hope this helps. The customer service is terrible

My only complaint is that food came out a bit slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy at the time. Like serve me all my orders all at once pleaseeeeee so I can indulge lol What I Had: _________________ Sashimi Assortment - 10/10 Freaking delicious. Light, decadent, and incredibly fresh. Each piece tasted clean and high-quality, the kind of sashimi that melts the second it hits your mouth. They did their thing! Kanpachi Sashimi - 10/10 So good. Soft, delicate, and perfectly fresh. Every bite was balanced and flavorful without being heavy at all. Nigiri - White Fish Tasting - 11/10 Hands down my favorite part of my experience. I ordered multiple rounds (they come two per order), including branzino and snapper. The branzino was unreal. I wanted only branzino... that is how marvelous it was. Topped with this umami crunch that added so much texture and flavor. It was literally mouthwatering, like a burst of flavor in every bite. I honestly could've kept ordering this all night. Nigiri - Bluefin Tuna Tasting - 5/10 This one just wasn't for me. It wasn't fishy, but the texture was very slimy and didn't sit well in my mouth. It didn't swallow smoothly and just wasn't appetizing to me personally. Definitely a pass. Blue Crab Hand Roll - 6.5/10 I know this is a fan favorite, but it was just okay for me. Not bad at all, just didn't wow me compared to everything else I had. For $6, it's fine, but I wouldn't rush to reorder it. Customer Service: 8.5/10 Friendly and helpful, just slightly slow. I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Bec But, because of the excellent service, the atmosphere and the beautiful way they served the food, I decided to leave them a five star review. The price point of $185 per seating is super worth it. You get a lot of fish and they are very creative with each nigiri. Their spin on it shows their creative side (with Miami flavors) but is not super over the top and sauce does not drown out the freshness of the fish. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place.
