Bbq pork noodle. The portion size is for an 8 year old. I'll go to Panda Express next time.
    Justin S.

I'm giving it 2 stars because the food was good, however the portion sizes are about as big as a kids meal when ordering takeout. If you pay 2.50-3.50 for extra protein expect nothing more than 5 small pieces of meat. Very frustrating....

I visited this restaurant this evening because I'm interested in Asian cuisine. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and pleasant it was. The menu doesn't have pictures, so it's unclear what the dish is, but since I knew almost all of them by name, that didn't bother me. I ordered the Udon BBQ pork soup and mango smoothie, and my mom ordered the Udon beef soup. The dishes were prepared and served very quickly, and we loved everything, but since the portions were so large, we unfortunately couldn't finish them. The staff was very friendly and respectful. Such excellent dishes were inexpensive.

This was such a sweet little tea shop! I ordered wonton noodle soup. While it wasn't on the menu, they were able to accommodate. They had wonton soup and noodle soup but not in combination. They had music playing and the shop was soo cute and inviting. I loved the seating and decor. Bamboo plants galore! Such amazing customer service as well.

Excellent food you can't find elsewhere in Auburn. They're not just a coffee/tea/dumpling shop. We've had dinner here several times - ramen and udon soups, stir fry and rice bowls, msubi, and more. The soups were large and filled with tons of veggies and generous meat/shrimp, with enough for lunch the next day. Each msubi was palm size. I also love their Boba milk tea. My kid is obsessed with boba tea, but I don't usually get my own when he does at other shops because of high sugar and fake flavor powders. But I love Aibao's milk tea - real tea and milk, with options to reduce the sweetness so you get that authentic tea tannin bite.

My first time here! It's a super cute tea shop with a nice sitting area to enjoy food/drinks and chat with friends or study. I enjoyed the strawberry matcha with the strawberry mochi waffle. They both were really yummy and the staff was very sweet! I'm excited to come back soon to try more things off the menu! A great addition to Auburn.

Time for Dim Sum...because apparently every time I watch Crazy Rich Asians, my stomach turns into a…read moredramatic main character and demands dumplings immediately. Normally, I hit up Yue Huang, but lately it's been giving "long wait, mild heartbreak." So I decided to branch out and found this hidden gem in Granite Bay...and let me tell you...BEST decision. You walk in and BAM!!!! Old school Chinese restaurant vibes. Red booths, classic decor, slightly run down in that "if these walls could talk, they'd recommend everything on the menu" kind of way. And if you know, you KNOW...that's when the food is about to slap. We came with a mission (aka hungry and slightly unhinged) and ordered: baked BBQ pork buns, shumai, har gow, shrimp rice rolls, pineapple baked custard buns, fried shrimp balls, and soup dumplings. Basically, if it could be steamed, fried, or stuffed...we said yes. It's clearly family run, which I love. Mom is running the show like a boss, kids are hustling, and since it was Mother's Day...CHAOS. Delicious chaos. Food flying out, servers holding trays of dumplings like treasures, stopping at your table and you're like "YES, THIS IS MY MOMENT"...and then they walk away to another table. Emotional rollercoaster. So many "Ooooh yay!" followed by "Ohhh man..." But honestly? It just built the suspense. Then OUR food arrived...and our eyes went WIDE. These dumplings are HUGE. Like, "one bite? absolutely not" huge. The BBQ pork buns were soft, fluffy, slightly sweet clouds of happiness. Har gow and shrimp rice rolls were perfectly steamed (no soggy sadness here ). Now, because it was busy, the shrimp had a bit of a split personality...some bites were perfectly snappy and delicious, others were just a little overcooked. Not tragic, just not living their absolute best life. But overall? Everything was GOOD. And then the check came...about $60 for ALL that food. I almost checked it twice like, "Ma'am...are you sure you charged me correctly?" Because that is a STEAL. What really got me though was the family. You could see the hustle, the stress, the love...all happening in real time. Even in the chaos, they were kind, smiling, and apologizing for the wait. That kind of heart hits different. Final verdict: great food, great value, and a whole lot of love. I'll definitely be back to try more of their main dishes. Until next dumpling craving...

This time they did have the bean curd rolls which had noodles, veggies and a little meat. I do wish there were more veggies and meats served on the hong Kong house special noodles. Since it was our first time, we ordered a bunch of items to try. The pan-fried pork buns: were a highlight! Crispy on the bottom, soft on top, and filled with a clean, juicy soup that didn't have that heavy ginger taste. The soup dumplings xlbs had perfect, delicate skins and were incredibly juicy; the classic pork and the crab & pork were my favorites. The pork xlb had tender meat and was juicy, flavor was clean, the crab one is definitely for the seafood lovers, it has a nice SF umaminess too like a crab roe fishball lol. Other standouts included the spicy wontons in a great chili oil sauce and the truffle Angus beef fried rice, which featured surprisingly tender beef and a subtle, well-balanced truffle flavor. For dessert, the chocolate xlb, was excellent and tasted just like a strawberry Nutella crepe, though the matcha version was a bit too concentrated and bitter for my liking. Overall, the food came out quickly, the staff was friendly, and the service was great. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

In front of my table was where the staff was making dumplings (they were behind glass). After looking at the menu, I opted to get some traditional soup dumplings, bbq pork fried rice, and pineapple bao buns for dessert. My server was Bing and she was nice and efficient. She came back to check on me a few times throughout my dining experience. My fried rice came out first. It was a LARGE serving of fried rice, it of course had eggs, carrots, peas, and BBQ pork. It was flavorful. Next came out the soup dumplings. They were brought out in a steamer basket with a top to keep them warm. These were amazing. The light and delicate dough, mixed with the savory pork filling, and the salty broth was perfection. Next came out my pineapple bao buns. To be honest, I wasn't sure how I was going to like them. To my surprise these may have been the star of the show. The dough was light and sweet, the top was carmelized and sweet, and the custard inside reminded me of a Dole Whip from disney (exept it wasn't cold, it was warm). These were pretty large and I'm semi embarrassed to admint I had 2 3/4 bao buns myself. Go here. It's delicious.

This is the only local dim sum place I really go to because it's close to home and consistently good. If they're closed or sold out, then I'm probably not getting dim sum that day because my next option is all the way in Livermore. I actually really like their setup. It's not the traditional sit down dim sum experience with carts going around, but the way they handle orders and move people through is super efficient. Even when it's busy, everything feels organized and quick!! Reminder, YES it can get busy fast!! One thing I really appreciate is how patient and welcoming they are, especially if you're newer to dim sum. They'll explain dishes without making you feel awkward or judged for not knowing what something is. You can tell the staff genuinely care about the food and take pride in what they do. If they're out of a new batch and making a new one, they're quick to inform you of the wait time. A few dim sum dishes are made to order, so again please be mindful, and they will also let you know. The food itself is honestly a 100/10 for me. I've never had a bad experience here. The drinks I've tried have all been really good too. They also sell their chili oil in store, which is a nice bonus if you want to take a bit of the flavor home. It's not spicy and it's not the same chili oil like you'd use with seasoning your pho. This is more of a dipping sauce and it's savory. One thing I'm not totally sure about, for the amount of time I've been in, is whether they have a system for returning a used, clean jar if you bring it back and receive a discount or percentage off the next chili oil jar. Please ask! Price wise, it's pretty standard for dim sum. It can add up fast if you order a lot. I remember our first visit was easily over $100 because we wanted to try everything. Now when it's just two of us, we usually spend around $50-$100 depending on how hungry we are. What I do like is that the portions don't feel skimpy.
