They moved since I was here 3 years ago.

Great nano brewery. I started supporting when they operated out of a garage, a few doors down from Von Stiehl Winery. They made great beer in the garage, and have stepped up their game. It's a MUST STOP on your way north and before you hit the wineries in Door County.

The beer was fine. What really bothered me was that they refused service animals. Even with zero other guests around and in an open air building, we were not welcome. Unfortunate.

Cute cute cute! The new location doesn't have quite the same charm as the old location but it is still lovely. Great about letting us have small tastes before committing to a flight, and different sizing options was a nice touch. Really limited food options, and I'm not sure if you'd be okay with bringing in outside food. If I was going to spend more time there, I'd want a little more to munch on.

This is a very cool little brewery right off the lake. We came here and enjoyed some variety of beers and a pretzel. Lindsey took good care of us and next time we are in Doo County we will visit again.

If you are looking for a cool place to go on your way up to or back from Door County, or just for a little Saturday getaway, this is the place! It is literally a garage, but they have made it into a cute bar:) They have a selection of about 8 of their own beers, and a few food items to fill your tummy (I would HIGHLY recommend the bacon and cheese curd flatbread!!!!). Not very kid-friendly, just because of space, but they certainly will welcome you if you have kids in tow:) Didn't like as many of their beers as other breweries, but still worth visiting - it's too cool to pass up!!!

    Because we need choices.

I finally got to try the Ahnapee Brewery, which is part of the Von Steihl Winery complex. Many times I've been to Algoma to buy wine and kept finding the brewery closed. A co-owner informed they have now extended their hours. I was visiting the Wet Your Whistle festival and would have loved to have a Flight but no such luck on this day so I ended up trying a couple of brews. There is an outdoor patio with tables and standing deck and some cramped quarters inside, so stay happy and get along with the other guests as well. The brews have limited distribution in Wisconsin only so far and seem to have more of a local following. I felt the bitters were a bit too bitter for me and would have a difficult time drinking a six pack at home, but I still had a great time with the friendly people and smiling owners inside.

If you're a craft beer lover, you must put Ahnapee on your bucket list!  Yes, they make amazing beer, but it's the location of the brewery that is so iconic.  It's literally a souped up garage. It's a small space, so be ready to make new friends when sitting by strangers.  They have a bar and a few 2-person tables on the side of the wall. The back of the garage is a small extra room with a few more tables and a view of the Ahnapee River. When we're not in the middle of a polar vortex you can go to their outdoor patio a sip a Rocky Green IPA, Fun Guy Brown Ale, or my favorite the Little Soldier. It is a little bit out of the way, but it does make a good day drinking destination or a quick stop on your way to Door County.  Luckily you can find their beers at liquor stores/gas stations/grocery stores, and bars. I'm glad I've been there but will be no rush to head over to their brewery since it's easy to get Ahnapee in GB.

This was a fun little taproom. They are building another bugger location. Delicious beer and the bartender was friendly and helpful.

Great place for a craft brew or two. Nice year round but most fun on a sunny summer Saturday afternoon.

I wasn't expecting much since it's in a garage. But they made it very nice. An interesting selection of beer. Worth a stop.

Really good beer. Lineup is always changing. $5 for a 20oz is a great price. Bartenders are usually good with service too.

I loved Bridge Up Brewing even before I tasted their beer. This is a little local Wisconsin brewery located on the basement-level of the building that houses Sonny's Italian Kitchen. When you walk into the lobby, instead of walking up the steps to Sonny's, take the ramp down below to Bridge Up and enjoy a beer or a flight of beers. They have a small menu of appetizers, mostly wings and fried things, but if you want a full meal, you should probably go upstairs to Sonny's. I didn't want a full meal, so I stayed at Bridge Up and ordered a flight of beers. One of them was a sour (I love sours), and the others were some of the more popular beer flavors. I picked the U-Pick, which is a flavored with Door County cherries, and was one of my favorites. The others were the higher ABV beers: Flip Flops and Bikini Tops (an imperial IPA) and Stubborn Sturgeon (a New England hazy IPA). I loved all of the beers I chose, but the cherry-flavored U-Pick was my favorite. When in Door County, always choose the cherry-flavored thing! If Bridge Up has U-Pick available when you visit, I highly suggest trying it. The people who work here are very friendly but also stay out of your way, which I appreciated. They encourage you to play something on the jukebox, so go ahead and put on your favorite songs.

This business makes there own Beer, wine and alcohol products where the diversity of what they make is kind of amazing considering the footprint/size of their facility. Relative to the tastings, these are free of charge where customers are encouraged to tip instead to show their appreciation for what they have been served. Duriing our trip here we tasted numerous spirits to include their house made gin, rum, vodka, Brandy, Bourbon and various flavored moonshines. I thought the liquors with the exception of the Moonshines were just OK but the moonshines were surprisingly quite good. These 60 proof drinks come across like a liquor based on the alcohol by volume content with a similar creamy texture. The flavor profiles are quite unique to anything I have ever tasted before where their flavors include Grandma's Apple Pie, Salted Caramel, Orange Slice and Lemon Drop shine to name just some of them. Every Moonshine bottle we tasted was so tasty where I was really enamored with all of them and at the end of the day ended up buying the Lemon Drop and salted Caramel although it was hard to stop at just these two. Relative to the facility it has a non descript outer view where the inside comes across more of a typical bar venue more so than a winery/distillery which is a bit deceiving in my mind considering how much product they make here. No stacked wine barrels or a sneak peak of the Distillery or Barrel rooms to reinforce what this business is and add the cute ambiance you get at many of the wineries I visit. Relative to Staff, They were exceptionally friendly and good on the repours for our free tasting which definately added a lot to our tasting event. Overall a very pleasant time was had by our group where I see myself returning again in the future and sampling their other ware's and probably buying more moonshine!
