This business makes there own Beer, wine and alcohol products where the diversity of what they make is kind of amazing considering the footprint/size of their facility. Relative to the tastings, these are free of charge where customers are encouraged to tip instead to show their appreciation for what they have been served. Duriing our trip here we tasted numerous spirits to include their house made gin, rum, vodka, Brandy, Bourbon and various flavored moonshines. I thought the liquors with the exception of the Moonshines were just OK but the moonshines were surprisingly quite good. These 60 proof drinks come across like a liquor based on the alcohol by volume content with a similar creamy texture. The flavor profiles are quite unique to anything I have ever tasted before where their flavors include Grandma's Apple Pie, Salted Caramel, Orange Slice and Lemon Drop shine to name just some of them. Every Moonshine bottle we tasted was so tasty where I was really enamored with all of them and at the end of the day ended up buying the Lemon Drop and salted Caramel although it was hard to stop at just these two. Relative to the facility it has a non descript outer view where the inside comes across more of a typical bar venue more so than a winery/distillery which is a bit deceiving in my mind considering how much product they make here. No stacked wine barrels or a sneak peak of the Distillery or Barrel rooms to reinforce what this business is and add the cute ambiance you get at many of the wineries I visit. Relative to Staff, They were exceptionally friendly and good on the repours for our free tasting which definately added a lot to our tasting event. Overall a very pleasant time was had by our group where I see myself returning again in the future and sampling their other ware's and probably buying more moonshine!

It was right on the way home to Milwaukee, we wanted to head out of the city since there was a Packer Game ending shortly after we left. It was a quaint little brewery in a strip mall, nice and clean inside with cool brewery signs covering the walls. Surprisingly the place was empty, which worked nicely for us! We had our pick of tables and got to catch the end of the game too. We had our 2 toddlers with us and the guys working were super sweet to them. They have a small kids menu that did the job (grilled cheese an a burger for the kiddos) - it came with organic chocolate milk, fries and fruit snacks; quite a good value! My husband and I shared the fried chicken sandwich and their spicy burger - their main menu items were gourmet burgers. Personally, I really enjoyed the chicken, it was fried perfectly and had great flavor. Overall it was a super quick and convenient stop with a lot of nice beer options on tap if that's your thing.

Our server was cut loose on his first night on his own and was very pleasant and friendly. He was…read morestill a bit in the learning phase, but his demeanor and attitude made up for any minor lapses in service. We started out with me ordering my standard martini order, which is slightly complicated, and he delivered wonderfully...it just took a few minutes, but apparently he was responsible for tracking down the martini glasses (hint: they are in the refrigerator). At any rate, we got our drinks and ordered our food. When the food came out I took one bite and discovered my Turkey Reuben was a Corned Beef one instead. He took it back to the kitchen and they were correcting the order and he told us we would not be charged for that, which was a nice accomodation. What he meant was we would not be charged for 2-the right one and the wrong one. Hmmm, when we asked about it, he went to the manager and they comped us $5 off the bill. That works fine for me for the short wait. The correct sandwich was heaped full and very tasty. My wife got the Turkey Pita, which was also pretty tasty and chocked full of ooey-gooey delicious Tzatziki sauce, turkey, and other fixins. The building is interesting, as it seems like 2 bar/restaurants that decided to connect to each other. There are 2 full bars (only one in use the night we were there), and two dining areas; one by each bar. Overall, I'd go again. Food was solid and prices very reasonable.

You'll also want to get the cheese curds, because when in Wisconsin, you get the cheese curds. These curds are crispy yet chewy, and come with ranch dressing. Nicky's specializes in sandwiches, so they have a lot of them on the menu. I got one of their more popular sandwiches -- the Nicky's Thick Cuban. It is indeed thick! Layers of pork and ham, Swiss cheese and pickles. I split it with another person. Half of a Nicky's Thick Cuban plus fries is enough for one person's lunch. That, and a cup of gumbo, and you've got yourself a splendid meal. We visited on a Friday, so one of the people in my party ordered the Fish Fry. I tasted a bite of the crispy fish and it was delicious. The fish fry comes with fries or potato salad, plus a slice of rye bread, butter and slices of raw onion. I didn't know this, but you eat the fish with the bread and butter and onion like a little taco! It's what you do in this part of Wisconsin. Nicky's has a huge bar (two of them, in fact), with every type of drink you can think of. This is a popular restaurant with students at St. Norbert College, as it's right across the street, basically.
