Went to Applebees to use some gift cards since I was in Green Bay and all the Applebees near me have closed. Was surprised to see that it was an Applebees + IHop. Ihop may be the only thing that saved our visit. We ordered a trio appetizer: chicken wonton tacos, quesadillas and riblets; a two for $25 meal deal: sirloin steak and O-M- Cheeseburger with mozzarella sticks as an appetizer; and a kids pancake with yogurt and fruit as a side. We waited for a while as we got there just before the dinner rush. Our main courses came out before our appetizer came. I had to inquire about the appetizer from our 2/$25 and the side of fruit and yogurt for the kids meal, which they brought right out. The quality of the food was awful! I ordered the new O-M-Cheeseburger and by the time they brought our food out all of the melty cheese had hardened and half of my burger stuck to the plate when I tried to pick it up. The sirloin steak was beyond well done even though we order it medium rare. We couldn't even cut it. The mashed potatoes had way too much parsley dumped on top of them. All that was edible as the side of broccoli. We didn't eat our main courses, just the appetizers. The kids meal was the saving grace of our entire trip. I also order a sirloin meal to go when we ordered our food which they brought out as we finished and were waiting for the bill. I had ordered it rare hoping it would be perfect reheated. It was medium well. I was not impressed with the quality of food and our table tipped every time you moved which for having just remodeled was unacceptable. Service was so incredibly rude here. I myself work in the service industry and am very patient and understanding with others that do when I am eating out. However, the comment that the girl bringing our drinks made towards me was so rude. She had asked where to set my drink down and I said "right over here please" and raised my hand so she could see me because I was sitting on the opposite end of the table that she was standing on. She must've not heard me and only saw my hand raised and then said "way to speak up" in one of the most rudest tones imaginable. Her comment quite literally brought me to tears. My girlfriend and I stopped here for a late dinner Saturday night around eight. We had not dined at an Applebees in a couple years and thought we would give them a whirl for kicks and old time sakes. We were seated relatively quick in a booth and it was nice and warm inside. The establishment was clean and tidy, with a variety of customers enjoying their meals. I really liked how the place was decorated with local sports teams on the walls, this is not typical, it really did contribute to a "neighborhood" feeling. The waitress was friendly and attentive and our meals were reasonably priced and delicious. We finished eating and when our bill was delivered, our waitress let us know there was no rush. So we took our time and chatted a bit. That was nice, to not be pushed out of the place. Thank you Applebees for staying consistent after all these years. This has been my experience here, consistency. I appreciate that when it comes to dining out. read more

First order from here didn't go great, mostly from a customer service/order facilitation standpoint. Ordered on their app 2 hours before the food was to be picked up. It was scheduled for carside pickup. Strike 1: I arrived and the food was ready when I was there but was told that they were out of one of the items I ordered. They offered me a substitution while handing me my hot food through the window. So am I expected to wait and let the two other entrees I ordered get cold while you make a new item? You had two hours to call me and ask for a substitution. Doing that when I arrived and while the rest of my food is hot and ready makes no sense. I left and asked for a refund for the item. I understand mistakes can be made, I am pretty forgiving. The food was decent. About as expected from Applebee's. No complaints there. Strike 2: If I had to bet on them getting my credit card charges fixed after all of this, I definitely would be against them. I would have been right! Sure enough, two days later, the full charge comes through on my credit card. Strike 3: I called them when I noticed this and was told to call back in a couple of hours because they were too busy. I understand you are too busy. Again, no complaints there, but offer to call ME back when it is convenient for you, not the other way around. So I write this after strike 3. Hopefully, it ends here and I can get refunded appropriately. read more

My wife and visited this Applebee's on Jan 13th right at the door opening due to receiving a gift card. We ordered the 2 for $25 meal, with the Mozzarella sticks as our Appetizer, these were very good, marinara was tasty. She ordered the Riblets, said they tasted great but didn't like the tiny bones in them. I chose the Fiesta Lime Chicken with a side of Spanish rice. Was surprisingly very tasty. The server was excellent, checked on us, but not overdoing it. Will be back again. read more

My wife and I decided to eat supper early last weekend and instead of getting a late night fix through a fast food joint we decided to go to Applebee's for half off apps. While single, Applebees was a huge go to before a night out on the town for myself. Food and drinks for less then $15, but boy has that gone down hill. Like anything, one venue shouldn't ruin it for all of them but I can surely say that the Applebee's on the west side of town definitely needs a health inspector to come through. So our experience, we arrived around 10:30, we were greeted promptly and asked if we wanted the bar area or the upper seating area. We decided to go to the upper area. While being seated we seen multiple tables with food and plates that have been uncleared and the floor looked as a tornado went through. I glanced at my wife and she looked disgusted but I said will sit here it's fine because there was a broom and the long handle dustpan right next to us, so I was under the impression they would be around quick to clean up. The hostess didn't give us menus and then our waiter came over and said if you want half off apps the menus on the table (ours didn't have one) so he grabbed one from the dirty table next to us.. again still ok with it (I worked in the restaurant industry while younger and I get the end of the night). I ordered the sampler and my wife ordered the spin dip with a drink, the drink was some fruity drink that had a gummy shark pictured in it on the menu, but apparently doesn't come with it when you get it. While waiting for our food we seen multiple employees walk past and nobody grabbed the broom or cleared tables, in fact the hostess went to the table pushed stuff off it to the floor, grabbed the tip and walked away. It wasn't until almost the end of the visit when an employee finally came over and cleared 1 of the tables around us. As we sat in the trashed area my wife and I joked about how do you think the kitchen looks??? I then went to reach for our silverware and discovered that it had what appeared to be blood on it from a cut finger or something... The waiter came around I showed him it, he showed some remorse (not much) and grabbed a new one. We should have left then and not ate but a few minutes after the food came, it wasn't bad but the experience made me second guess everything I was eating. We ate most of it, paid the bill (no discount for the blood) and left faster then you can shake a stick. I wouldn't return again to this location, if you do have a penicillin shot handy. read more

I feel like the food is always good but most applebeed have this nasty smell like going into a dive bar with wet mats that they cleaned from behind the bar from the night before. Tara threatened to call the police on me, in regards to what charges she would have had filed against me is a complete mystery. People in booth next to me wanted blinds lowered, I tried to assist, Tara came over and lectured me on the posibility of blinds falling on customers, after getting up and walking over to an elderly veteran wearing a cap indicating he was a Korean War veteran and saluting him to display my respect for his service Tara again came over and said I needed to pay my bill, leave and never return. read more

I ordered the combination platter and one of the items was boneless chicken wings. I ordered them"hot". They came full of some red powder (pictured below) and I had never seen that before so I called my waitress over and asked her if they were supposed to be that way because they had never come that way before, and she adamantly stated that they were fine and that was their new way of doing them. I called the restaurant after I left there and asked for the manager and spoke with the manager about the issue and she assured me that they are not supposed to be that way but never offered me any kind of compensation even after I explained to her that I left there and went through a drive-thru to finish my lunch because I couldn't even eat them. This is the location closest to my home but this is also the third time in a few years that I have had problems at this location and I will not ever visit this one again I will continue to go to the east side where I always have gotten great service and excellent food, and if there ever was an issue they were quick to fix it. read more

It was our third choice on a Saturday night -- the previous stops were eating establishments that were packed with over an hour's wait. So we kept driving down Oneida Ave another half mile and decided to stop at Applebee's. Gosh, hardly anyone was here. We now know why: The waitress only smiled when she brought the check and it was "tip time." The hostess leaned on her station and chewed gum while looking so-oo bored. And the bartender was pouring someone's drink when the shot glass she was using fell into their soda-filled tumbler -- no problem, she dug it out with her fingers, put on a garnish and served it!!!! We wanted to give this restaurant a one star, but it gets two for the food was ok and the female manager was friendly and trying so hard to make this Applebee's better. read more

Just stopped in for dinner for 2. Great experience! Everyone, hostesses, managers, bartenders, and our server, Brody (hopefully spelled that right!), were extremely friendly and accommodating. We ate here on the way home and wish we had kept going. It is as another reviewer said, an old, musty dive bar. They need a serious remodel, deep cleaning tables/chairs, etc., new flooring and whatever else is available. Food was ok but not stellar. Iced tea tasted like dishwater, tabletop and carpet were sticky, food crumbs/oil on the chairs, silverware was stained/tarnished--just a sad environment to have a nice meal. Went in with my boyfriend yesterday afternoon and both of our orders were ice cold. I got steak medium and I got it back still pretty much raw. My potatoes were cold and his chicken was as hard as a rock and ice cold. We decided to just box it and take it home, hoping that we could reheat everything to our liking. But no, the chicken never got warm and our meals were thrown away. After leaving we realized our car doors were locked with keys inside, so we decided to go in and enjoy a drink while we waited for AAA to arrive and unlock our car. We were at the bar maybe 15 minutes when the bartender decided to gossip with her boyfriend/friend/co worker who walked in a bit later about our misfortune. Her friend was staring at us until we left. The East side Applebees is overall cleaner, friendlier, and has better quality food. We will take the extra 10 minutes to go there instead. read more

Once again we gave Applebee's a try because friends of ours wanted to go. Three of us ordered French onion soup. It was very good. Unfortunately, the two that got salads also, were served the soup long before their salads were finished. Three of us ordered the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp. Two were pleased with their meal. The only man at the table wound up sending his back because everything was cold. After quite a long time they brought out a hot plate for him. The same cold food was on the plate only this time it had been nuked. I ordered the all you can eat chicken-shrimp-ribs. Only one of the three can be ordered at a time. I chose to have the ribs first and when they were delivered to the table I asked to have shrimp next. The ribs were okay. A little dry, a little tough but okay. When the waitress came back to check on us I inquired on my shrimp and was told that it would be out soon. Well, it never came. When she brought our bill I told her that I would not pay for the all you can eat chicken ribs and shrimp when all I ever got was ribs. They deducted $7.25 from the bill. Like Craig V - my issue was with the manager. We have all had meetings with family and friends at restaurants when "that table" of loud obnoxious people wrecked ones evening. Little did I know, but that evening "that table" was the manager and her friends and co workers. First I gave them a dirty look and when that didn't work I walked a few steps towards them and asked them nicely if they could chat so they didn't disturb others. They were even shouting across the restaurant at their friends at the bar. At the conclusion of my meal I talked to the manager and complained and she took no ownership of the problem and told me that they have a family atmosphere- meaning between her and her employees - but apparently not between her and her customers. As we left, one of the managers friends told me sarcastically to come back soon. My mother and grandmother have been coming to this restaurant for a while now and today was just terrible. The server was okay but wasn't sure if she was new or just tired. We order 2 chicken tender meals with an appetizer of onion rings. The meal was overcooked, fries were burnt, tenders were tiny, and onion rings weren't good at all. The server didn't seem to care, she just replied "I can go get my manager for you there is nothing I can do about this", and she kept repeating herself. I've been to this location many times and have never been disappointed. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. I've had several different meal offerings and each has always been prepared and presented very well. No issues to complain about on either the food or service. The dining area is spacious and clean. The bar area is inviting and they offer a full range of beers and cocktails. It can get a little crowded during Packer games and on weekends so plan accordingly. read more
