After living in the GB area for a long time and hearing all the rave about LL and their great wings, we finally gave it a shot. Let me tell you, all hype. Start out by having to chase the bartender down for a drink and to order, but hey...it's a Packer home weekend so I'm understanding. We ordered our wings "extra crispy" with 5 different types of sauces. I had a hunch when I placed the order that the bartender was like "yeah...ok.." to my crispy wing preference but figured since all they do is wings, they got this, right?! Wrong. Wings came out rubbery and gelatinous like I despise and the ranch/blue cheese would've been better at a 7-11. Since I was hungry and there was nobody who checked back anyways, I ate a few and I'm sure the rest will taste much better after I crisp them up in the air fryer. I paid my bill and the waitress asked "how was everything?" To which I responded "not very good" (which I NEVER DO" because I'm not a picky eater. She turned around and walked away without a word. Cool. Thanks. In summary, go to The Bar, make them at home, but don't waste your $ here. Can't believe they have such a cult following. read more

Hole in the wall looking place on the East side of Green Bay but it will become your regular spot for wings and apps. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive, the sauces are incredible, the food is always piping hot, and I've never left hungry. Their wings are huge, doused in their delicious sauces (homemade I believe, and they sell it in bottles). We LOVE their Mac n jack bites, green bean fries, broccoli cheddar bites, and honestly every other appetizer they offer. Our favorite sauces are the raspberry habanero (get a side and dip everything in it, you won't be disappointed), bacon bbq (perfect little kick of heat, we bought a bottle to use on ribs this summer!), medium buffalo (perfect classic wing sauce), and the Thai chili (always loads of sauce, perfect blend of sweet and heat!). The wings here are so satisfying and delicious that I just get a craving for them and nowhere else can fill that void! This time I tried a mixture of sauces, as suggested by a friend and fan of Larry's. Great idea! This opens up all kinds of tasty possibilities for the future. Small little bar with counter service from the bartender. Nothing wrong with that, and he tries to be very attentive! They supposedly have the best wings in Green Bay, which I find hard to believe. They were fine, but nowhere near what you'll find across the country. The sauces are just OK, but they do cook their wings to a nice crisp. It takes the bartender forever to get a refill on the drinks because they usually only have 1 bartender for the whole place. Drinks are garbage. I ordered a whiskey sour and it tasted like bad sour. I went with very simple order: - 6 wings hot - 6 shrimps in sweet chili sauce - cheddar nuggets Ordered it online, picked it up and to be honest my favorite was the cheddar nuggets!! It was perfectly fried, salty and definitely a beer food!!! Skip the shrimps. Frozen shrimps fried and served with sweet chili sauce... not worth the value/price. If you like chicken wings and have not been here then you need to try them. You walk in and fill out your order on a sheet that has different flavors which can be very hot. I did the mild because I like heat but also like to be able to eat something and not be burning my insides. The sides are really good too. The prices are very reasonable as well. Nice little place. TV's could be bigger and the place is DARK. It must have been an adult bookstore at some time. There are only around 3 windows in the whole place. Pretty claustrophobic. Other than that, the wings are good. I ordered the hot, thinking they were Wisconsin hot, meaning "not very", but these things had some spice! There were still two spice levels higher; they must be nuclear. Good flavor, and the buffalo on shrimp had just enough spice without overwhelming the delicate flavor of the shrimp. Must be an interesting kitchen - everything on the menu is deep fried. The wings are not breaded, which is a huge plus. Our server, Kat, was completely awesome. I'll be back. I love their wings and the sauces but the service at the Green Bay location is absolutely the worst. They never have enough people working. Last time I was here I had to bus my own table to sit down - when I asked the bartender for a bar rag to wipe the table down there wasn't even so much as an apology for not being able to get to it. It seemed more important to him to make sure everyone at the bar had second, third and forth drinks than it was to clean up some so new customers could have somewhere to sit while waiting over an hour and 15 min waiting for their order. read more
