My wife and I came across this brewery while traveling up to Green Bay. Wow was it a great experience. They had the jumbotron up for the football game. They have a pretty nice outdoor space to entertain their guests. The brewery offers a great selection of drinks, beers and also merchandise. Hung out with some cousins over the holiday and this place was recommended. They have a great common area where the main bar is located. The bar is wide open and has a few side seating areas for quieter conversation. We ordered our first round and headed out to the "cocoon". The cocoons are mini houses that can be reserved ahead of time. A cool spot to link up to the Bluetooth, chill or even watch a game or show that's on in privacy. There are about 4-5 to pick from. There's a common green turf area that would be dog friendly and good for larger gatherings with fire pits. We had a server check on us and give us great service. We ordered a few apps, hummus, baked feta, pizzas and more. The food was great and they make a decent pear old fashioned. We enjoyed the field study Hazy IPA and the stout was awesome. We stopped in for a beer recently and had a great time. The place is spacious with plenty of seating inside and outside. It was too chilly for us to enjoy the patio seating, so we sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and recommended some great options. We all ordered flights, which was a great way to try most of their items. We enjoyed the Brief Opulence (cinnamon roll stout) and the Field study (hazy IPA) the best. Although, the Hiding in the Lime (key lime sour) and Spekto cooler were tasty too. They also have food available and the pizza smelled so good, but we didn't get any this go around. We will definitely be back to try more in the future. read more

Cocoon Brewing is amazing. It's one of those places that I wish I could pick up and relocate to where I live, so that I could visit it all the time. Alas, I only got to visit Cocoon while I was in Green Bay for a few days. But this place left a big impression on me. I don't know where to start, but I guess we'll start with the food. They mostly just serve brick-fired pizzas here, Neapolitan style, that come out with a chewy, slightly charred crust. They are perfection. I recommend getting the pepperoni pizza, which includes a drizzle of hot honey. They also serve little nibbly things, like olives, charcuterie and bread. The beer is great, too. I got a couple of different kinds (whee!), and the one I remember loving is the Bramble On, a fruity sour beer that tastes of berries and pie crust. They had me at pie! And it does have notes of pie, which is kind of bizarre and lovely. Cocoon Brewing is super family-friendly. There are games to play inside, big tables so you can eat family-style, couches to lounge around in, yard games outside, and lots of space outside for kids to run around. One of the cool and unusual things about this place is that you can reserve one of their "Cocoons": individual cabin-style buildings adjacent to the tap room and restaurant. Each Cocoon is decorated differently, and each has things like streaming TVs, wifi, and little touches like record players and games. The Cocoons are a nice place to hang out with friends or rent for a work event. I love everything about Cocoon Brewing, and it's definitely on my list of go-to places the next time I'm in the Green Bay area. read more

It's a different experience than I'm used to. If you sit at a table, you scan a QR code to pull up the drink and food menu then order and pay within the app. You don't really interact with the staff much. I will say, they were very prompt in getting the beer and pizza out. It's a neat place and I bet on a nice day it'd be a great place to enjoy outside since they have a nice outdoor area. It's a bright, open space. They have board games for you to play and lots of TVs to watch the game. I think the beer I had and pizza were fine. Overall, I probably wouldn't go back. Wow! This was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday! Monday night is Trivia night, which we were not prepared for, but we still found a table for 6. Since this was our first visit, we were not familiar with the layout (order drinks at the bar, order food from the QR code on tables and pick up food from the window). It was a little confusing, but we figured it out! We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the drinks. I would love a little more variation in the beer, but thankfully I found something that was yummy. We LOVED our appetizers! We shared everything so we got to sample many different things and I am so glad that we did! The Black Garlic Cheese Bread was incredibly delicious and paired nicely with the marinara sauce and the ranch. It was warm and full of flavor and perfect for a winter night! The breadsticks were just as yummy and paired nicely with hummus, marinara, ranch, and the chili sauce. The hummus was delicious, too! It is served with breadsticks and thinly sliced cucumbers - it was full of flavor and delicious. The Risotto Bowl with the Carne Asada pizza toppings was yummy, full of flavor and definitely made us look forward to the Carne Asada pizza! While we are not gluten free, it's a fun option for people who cannot eat pizza and it's just as yummy! And, we love risotto, so it was an easy choice. We sampled five different pizzas and LOVED them! The Sausage Pizza is not overpowering at all, with a light Italian sausage flavor. However, if you like Sausage Pizza and don't mind some flavors - try the Sausage & Peppers Pizza. It was full of flavor and just a hint of heat from the pepper sauce, but also featured roasted red peppers. This was probably my favorite because of the heat and spice! The Margherita Pizza was very good and we wished it had a little bit more basil, but would definitely recommend. The Carne Asada pizza was a seasonal offering and it was just as delicious in pizza form as it was in the risotto bowl. We also had a build your own Pepperoni Pizza that was perfect for the teenage girls in our group (who didn't want the Classic Pepperoni Pizza that comes with hot honey on top!)! For beer, we sampled only two - the Michoacan, a mexican lager - which was delicious! Really wanted to try the amber, Red Lacewing... hopefully next time. They have a good tap menu with a nice selection of beers - especially if you like an IPA. Not only do they have tap beers, they have a bar with craft cocktails. Not to mention they have other beers, bottles, cans, seltzers, gluten free options as well. Definitely something for every taste! The food. Finding a brewery that serves their own good food is hard to come by. Especially in the area. They have a pizza oven!! Like homemade, Neapolitan style pizzas that are DELICIOUS! If you're gluten free, no problem - you can get any of their pizzas made in risotto. And they are amazing, as well! They have some other food, too. The space. My absolute favorite space - both inside and outside! Their main, inside space is large, very open, high ceilings, and super cute. Kind of a retro vibe. Lots of seating - bar stools type, tables with chairs, comfy couches, all the things! They have a fireplace, so it's cozy in the winter months. And they have an abundance of games and such for everyone to play. They have a huge outdoor space - with bonfires, seating, tables, grass for games, and again, all the things! And my absolute favorite? Their COCOONS! They have several cocoons for rent - each with their own theme, private space, WiFi, music, TV, etc. They comfortably fit 12 people each! Absolutely a must! I hate to do this.. had high hopes.. Not really my vibe in a brewpub/brewery. It felt like an Apple Store with beer (such a white interior for a place that makes beer, it felt kinda wrong, almost too sterile). Maybe I'm microbrewery old-school. I like beautifully stained wood bars, and a darker, more cavernous feel to the taprooms I go to. This was so hospital-y.. so.. white. On this day, they had some sort of meat raffle, so it was louder than it probably usually is (lots of PA noise and people running around with boxes of meat, hehe). It was way too busy for my comfort, and even though there were at LEAST four servers, it was hard to strike up any kind of conversation with any of them for very long (something I love to do when I'm at a brewery). One of the beauties of taprooms is being able to discuss the beers and the history of the brewery with staff. A taproom is NOT just about a server selling you a beer and taking your money. Even when they weren't too busy serving drinks, the servers tended to talk amongst themselves. Their current offerings board did not match their website at all, so while waiting in a long line for my beer, I couldn't just look at their current taplist on my phone, nor could I read their menu board easily from so far back. I realize the owners love butterflies, but some of the flavors vs names made zero sense, so remembering the name to a good beer just seemed like a difficult waste of time. The pizza looked amazing. I definitely give them credit for putting out a good looking pizza. The beers they had were good but nothing stood out as unique or exceptional. For the price they charged for a taster size ($4 to $6 each or flight sized small pours I think??), my wife's and my bill for two flights and a sticker was around $41. That's $15 to $20 each for basically having a beer each. Kinda up there, pricewise. That's a hefty bill, considering we have been to other breweries this weekend and our bill was around $30 for similar offerings. Also, stickers should be free. Most people get stickers and stick them on walls in other breweries (with permission, of course). It's a cool "free advertising" type thing. I have no idea what we were charged for the sticker we bought, but I believe it was at least $3. I bet on a warmer, less "meat raffle-y" day with the ability to have a conversation with the brewery staff, and maybe some better music (sorry, that part was just a joke), it would be a better experience. We will try again some other day. read more

Love love love! Great Brewery to check out & have a beer with some friends. They have many great options for non-beer drinkers as well! The decor & vibe was super cute, casual and upbeat; friendly workers and just a fun place to visit. A few guests also brought their children which is nice when mommy needs a drink lol. I was super impressed with their food menu, simple and delicious. Their brick oven for cooking pizzas gives the dough amazing flavor...one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! The hummus and breadsticks were very good, I'm guessing the same dough as their pizzas - which I LOVED. I went here for the first time with a group of 8 people. We had rented a Cocoon and it was such a fun time! Our waitress checked on us often even though the place was packed. A few different pizzas that we ordered were all really tasty. If you're looking for delicious pizza and willing to pay a bit more than a Papa Murphy's or Dominos, these pizzas are a treat (pizza price point approx $20 a pie). We ordered 3 pies for 6 adults and all walked away full (but with no leftovers). Our faves of the three were the mushroom and pepperoni. The sausage and pepper surprisingly had some heat, making it too spicy for one in our party. It was self service but food came out super quick. The ambiance was what to be expected for a brewery - fun and lively, but not a good place for a quiet intimate conversation! Would recommend! Great addition to De Pere! read more

Seems like a great place to hang with friends and be outside on the beautiful summers days in Wisconsin. Maybe if you are just going for the social aspect, this is a fun place. The pizza was decent. Choices for everyone and the flavors were good. No other choices for food. A few appetizers- they only have the pizza oven so choices are extremely limited. When we were there they were out of hummus. We suspect it was not made on premise so we didn't miss out on much. I'd give 4 stars for the pizza, 4 stars for the ambiance. Then there is the beer. We tried a flight of beers and of all of them I think I liked 1. The groot beer was probably the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. Not sure how that abomination made it to the menu. If we are bad we would go to play the games. I hope the brewers can make some decent beer because the ambiance is great and it's a wonderful idea. read more

My wife and I recently passed through Green Bay on our way to and from MN and MI. We're big craft beer enthusiasts and did our research in advance to see what was in the area. I could tell from the website that we were going to like Cocoon Brewing. We weren't disappointed! The taproom is a fun, colorful space. We loved the butterfly theme and how it is depicted throughout the space and menu. The pods -- while we didn't reserve one -- are cool-looking and great options for hosting and group events. The menu was also really fantastic. The Kolsch, Hazys and fruited sour we tried were all really great, some of the best beers we tried in Green Bay. The brick fired pizzas we're on the pricey side but also very tasty. As far as location, it's in a suburb and a bit of a drive from downtown. But I'd put this near the top of my list of Green Bay breweries worth visiting. Highly recommend! read more

What a great new brewery addition to Green Bay. The building is beautiful inside with huge windows that bring in lots of natural light which is augmented with great artwork throughout. There is bar seating, couches, a fireplace, bar tables, TVs, board and card games all in a cool, causal ambience. They brew 4-5 of their own beers and also offer other local beers on tap. They also do wine and cocktails for those who do not enjoy beer which is so nice for large groups, you can accommodate just about anyone here. I had the hazy yellow IPA (I think I have that name wrong) and it was pretty good. They also offered a West Coast IPA which isn't really jam, so I didn't try that. They had a stout and a good lager too. There is a wood burning custom pizza oven which was super cool. The pizza, breadsticks, charcuterie cups all looked so good! Unfortunately, we had just eaten lunch before, so we didn't try any pizza, but everyone around was raving about it. They have these outdoor "cocoons" which look super fun too. We just heard about this place a few weeks ago and have since been there twice. Love it already! Both times we had the sausage, pepper, onion, and Calabrian chili oil pizza. It was 5 stars. Perfect size for the two of us to share and finish the whole thing. Could easily become one of my favorite pizzas. The decor is really nice and well designed, very bright and friendly. They have a very large outdoor area where people hang out with their kids and pets, and it includes some small, reservable (outdoor) rooms. The place was hopping when we were there recently on a perfect September late afternoon. They're currently doubling the size of their already too small parking lot. The staff have been helpful and friendly too. And if you're a fan of hazy IPAs, you're gonna love it here. They're exceptional! Far above and beyond anything else I've tried in Green Bay--at least compared to those that are made here by any of the local brewers. read more

Fun, fun,fun! They have a nice selection of beers and have other drinks as well. The staff very attentive and friendly. The pizzas we tried were very good but wouldn't go just for that. Now the real attraction is the fun! The property has cocoon huts you can rent, which we did but you wouldn't have to. The property has multiple, smokeless fire pits and chairs to enjoy the outdoors if you wish. They have yard games to play like corn hole.
