It's a brewery, it's a cidery, it's a meadery. Who ever heard of a place that makes their own mead? Stillmank Brewing does! I tasted their mead -- my first-ever experience tasting mead -- and I liked it. I don't think mead would be my beverage of choice, but I love that they're making it here. I also tried a few of the hard ciders and seltzers they make, like the Wisco Hard Seltzer, which comes in several flavors. I tried the Bomb Pop, which tastes exactly like a Bomb Pop popsicle! It's the perfect sip for summer. You can get a flight of different beers, hard ciders, hard seltzers, mead, etc., and sample your heart out. I did just that, and tasted several of their offerings. I kept coming back to their hard seltzers -- these were my favorite! Stillmank really knows how to check that box for adult beverages that are refreshing and light, sweet but not too sweet, and has interesting flavors. This is a brewery and tasting room only. It's not a restaurant, so it's basically a room with a bar and some tables, with a foosball table in the corner. Which, when you really think about it, what more do you need sometimes? read more

Nice little brewery tucked away in a warehouse district about 15min outside Green Bay. Dog friendly brewery, and the pups can chill inside. Beer, cider, and mead available. About 10 years ago when I lived in Green Bay and went to Preble High School, I would cut through Henry street to skip the local school traffic. It was nice because all they had were a couple stop signs and some giant industrial buildings. No cars on the road anywhere. These days it's a whole different story. I stopped by Stillmank to catch up with my uncle after he really recommended the beer, and man, this area sure is poppin now! It just so happened that the weekend we met up was also their Oktoberfest weekend. They had some really great deals on liter mugs of beer that I really wish I could have taken advantage of, if I had more time. Instead I tried their Perky Porter and thought it was excellent. I'm not usually much of a porter guy, but this one was delicious. And at 7.0% ABV it'll leave you feelin really good after a few of them. We had brought our 2 year old son with us which turned out to be not greatest idea on our part. No fault to the brewery, but they don't have much space for kids here. Then again, Oktoberfest is very much a holiday best celebrated by adults! I'm looking forward to trying them out again sometime. This taproom is in an industrial/residential transition neighborhood so keep an eye out for signage and don't drive by! The laidback staff offers a variety of standard favorites and seasonal brews. My favorite is the Wisco Disco. They offer events like Brewga (beer + yoga) and bag leagues. They don't offer food at the taproom. It is a fun place to spend a few hours trying the latest beer with a group. read more

Although I am a fan of Stillmank beer, this was my first time at Stillmank. Cool little place, the barrel room looks like a great venue for a private party and when it is nice out take advantage of the outdoor seating area. The people that work there are friendly and can really help you select beers that you will enjoy. I think Wisco Disco is their most well known beer and a good choice for most people. If if you are a fan of Porters, their Perky Porter is one of my favorites. Today I wanted to try something new so I had the guava infused session IPA and it is amazing, you can taste the fruit but it isn't overwhelming. Finally had a moment to sit down and write about this fantastic brewery! I was lucky enough to attend a Yelp Event here last Wednesday and I honestly cannot explain how awesome the whole experience was. Obviously the beer was delicious, but what made it extra special was that the owners made us feel like friends stopping in to hang out. We got a hands-on tour of the brewing process (which included tasting one of the types of barley they use!). Brad and his wife Erin (the owners/ creators of Stillmank) were happy to answer any question we had. As I stated before the beer was delicious and that goes without saying, because, let's be honest, in Green Bay (let alone Wisconsin) we like our beer and to be a successful brewery, us locals need to enjoy it. Stillmank's most popular and original brew is Wisco Disco. For the event we were given 4 tap samples to try of our choosing. My personal favorite on tap was the Tailgater, a blonde ale. My boyfriend, who isn't a huge beer drinker, also thoroughly enjoyed the Tailgater. Another one I really enjoyed was the Awesome Sauce, which had a fruitier flavor, but wasn't a full on fruit beer so it wasn't overly sweet. Besides the beers they have on tap (it rotates so what they have on tap may change from day to day), they have others you can purchase. For instance the one I bought was Oak Aged IPA. And get this... IT HAS TEQUILA IN IT! I am not kidding when I say this is the smoothest IPA I have ever drank (and I drink A LOT of IPAs), plus you don't really get the tequila taste you think you would. After our event was over a few friends and I enjoyed the tap room by playing one of the many board games they have available. Saturday was my second time stopping into this brewery. I stopped in for their 3rd anniversary party and what a party it was. They tapped their double disco beer which was the main reason I just had to stop in because that is a seasonal thing they do around this time of the year. The brew room was transformed into a music and drink venue. I love the wood working in the tap room and the bathrooms are always clean. Always excellent service at the main bar in the tap room. The owners are so friendly both times I have been here I felt like I was at home with their hospitality. Let me start this review by saying I am not your typical beer drinker in that I like fruity light beers and never go near stouts or porters....sorry but that's me. I recently attended a Yelp event, Hops into Spring at Stillmank and took my husband, who is a fan of their Wisco Disco. The tour was fun and informative and owners Brad and Erin were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. The place was spotless and the obvious pride they take in their business showed in all aspects. But the best part (for me) was tasting and loving Awesome Sauce, their apple cherry ale. In a word, it is awesome! And, Erin shared that there would be more fruit beers this summer. My husband had the bourbon barrel aged Double Disco and really enjoyed it. I love supporting locally owned businesses and hope that Stillmank experiences continued success. read more

In general, I am a huge fan of Stillmank's beer. My husband and I decided to visit the tap room, and I'm so happy that we did. Their pints are $4 each, which is quite a deal. On Wednesday nights, Wisco Disco pints are $2! You can also buy their mugs and glasses for $5. They have an outdoor area now. The only negative is that the area is on the wrong side, so it doesn't get sun. We were there at 5pm, and it was all shade. We sat inside at the bar area, and it was super nice. My family lives north of GB, so every time I head north to the tundra, I try to either stop in to Stillmank or pick up a growler of that sweet Wisco Disco from other craft beer spots around town (like HP). My take on Stillmank's beers: Wisco Disco is legitimately the most amazingly drinkable beer I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. Almost dangerously drinkable, is what I'm saying. An ESB finished with a touch of lactose for a slightly sweet finish, it has all the flavor you want in a session beer with barely any of the leadbelly feeling of other beers. The Brewmaster's Notebook series is such a great idea and the two I've had, Simcoe Red IPA and Fluffy Unicorn, were both tasty and highly enjoyable. Bees Knees and Homegrown are nice lighter, crisper beers and round out Stillmank's lineup pretty well. Bottom line: if you're near Green Bay, grab a Stillmank, whether at the tap house or around town. The story behind the brewery is also as interesting as the beer is delicious. read more

Wow, wow, wow, until a few days ago, I had never stepped foot into a brewery in Green Bay, Wisconsin for more than three minutes. This visit, I was able to check out some more of the local businesses, so that I could decide which places I would like to return to in the future. We'll let me tell you folks! Stillmank Brewing Company is the absolute bees knees! And for many good reasons as well. The pour room very tiny, almost like a coffee room - there are beautiful decorations and pieces of art all around, which truly add to the relaxing, home like touch that a place designed to get you drunk is able to carry! This just proves that even a brewery can feel like home. My bartender, while I forget her name as I try to think profusely, was one of the sweetest ladies I could have ever met! She had that true Wisconsin spirit, vibe and attitude that made my shopping and tasting experience so much more worthwhile. The beer was absolutely delicious, and the variety is top notch. I definitely recommend the pink Guava beer if you're going after flavor! Otherwise, they also have some other good hoppy IPAs among other types of beer that you may really enjoy. It might have just been a bad day but man did an employee there make me feel like s***. This was my first time checking out the brewery as a friend of mine invited me to watch the Packers play one game day. I'm not a big beer drinker but I really wish I was (the craftsmanship and variety is very intriguing) so I went up to the bar to order 2 different beers on tap. I pointed to what looked like a large mug on their menu and said 2 of those please. As the bartender was reaching for the glasses, I realized I must have been confused and was ordering the wrong thing because she was getting growlers ready. I went "wait sorry I think I'm ordering the wrong thing I mean this.." and pointed to the mug size someone at the bar was drinking and said the name I assumed corresponded with it from the menu. She didn't say anything back but slightly roled her eyes and got different mugs. I was speaking to someone next to me when I realized after she poured the first drink, I must have said the wrong name but pointed to the right mug and she hadn't noticed or asked for clarification because she had filled a to go can. Before she started filling the next I said "wait I'm so sorry I must be really confused. I'm trying to order this size (pointing to the drink the person next to me had), I must not know what it's called. I've never been here and I don't drink beer much. I'm happy to take that can but is it okay if I open and drink it here then?". She sighed heavily and said "No. That's a to go can". And just looked at me for a while until I just said "sorry idk I'm just looking for a mug of beer". She filled what I was looking for after a while but was really cold and unfriendly. I understand that was my bad, but I feel I was friendly, apologetic, and just simply didn't know and no one was willing to explain it. Not to mention the sound for the game didn't work and there wasn't enough seating for the people there. On the plus side, my cider was good and the grilled cheese was phenomenal (and the women making them very nice). read more

This place is one of my favorite breweries in Green Bay. The tap room is a little small but it's rarely full. I like going on Wednesdays for Wisco Wednesday, $2 pints of Wisco Disco. You also need to get the Perky Porter in the 22oz pint glass. It's in the shape of a coffee cup and you get it served with a chocolate donut hole from Willow Street Bakery as a garnish. The hours are limited, but you can get a lot their beers at other bars and liquor stores. You can always get a growler or crowler of any of their beers. read more
