Our Green Bay brewery tour wouldn't have been complete without checking out Badger State. Our hotel was in walking distance but there's a sizeable lot available onsite! The interior is fairly standard, with bar and table seating. The patio was perfect on this sunny day! Service was friendly and helpful during our visit! The beers here were great, including the coffee ale and the coconut-infused IPA. We also got the jumbo pretzel, which was cooked to order, soft, and had some yummy cheese and mustard dipping sauces! Great little...large dive bar type spot for before a game. They have a lot of beer on tap, it's decent price and everybody here is pretty friendly. The ambiance was very nice with rustic wooden tables and chairs, a spacious outdoor patio perfect for families and pets, and a great selection of brews. THE NICEST PEOPLE IN THE UNIVERSE LIVE IN GREEN BAY WISCONSIN!! oh, and Badger State makes AMAZING beer! (Note, we are Seahawks fans, visiting from WA). We came in on a Saturday night, doing a little recon for Sunday's Packers v Seahawks game. The beer was absolutely wonderful (and we are beer snobs). The barrel-aged Stouts were delicious! We also loved the Mashing Pumpkins and Buzzy Brown (pro tip, get a pint of each and mix them.) Re the nicest people, a Packers fan bought me a beer! We showed up the next morning (GAME DAY!) with donuts and Kringle from Uncle Mike's in DePere. Let me tell you... the salted caramel pecan kringle pairs very well with the Mashing Pumpkin Ale AND the Buzzy Badger Coffee Brown Ale. By 11am, it was pretty full of football fans. Re the nicest people... we got invited to a tailgate in the parking lot. After our breakfast beers, we drifted into the On Wisconsin! Red Ale and the Green Chop session IPA. Both were delicious!! At 2pm, we will walk over to Lambeau Field, center of the football universe to watch the Packers take on the Seahawks. There is no better fan experience than Lambeau, and frankly, no better beer experience in Wisconsin than Badger State Brewing! read more

I really enjoyed sitting at the bar and drinking a flight while eating pizza and talking to people. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. They answered all questions about the variety of beers they have. It was nice you can do a flight to try several beers. They also place them on a metal holder and write down what each one was so you can remember. They also make their own pizza which was pretty tasty. I think they should crisp the crust a little more, but the toppings were great! And of course it pairs well with the beer! I would recommend coming here for a drink and fun. This is such a fun brewery! It has so many wonderful beer and cider options to choose from. We loved being able to get a flight and try several beers. All of the beers were really good but my favorite was the hard seltzer. I loved the piña colada hard seltzer! It was super flavorful without being overly sweet. The inside was really cool! It had such a fun ambiance. Perfect for a brewery close to the Packers stadium! They have plenty of TVs to watch games, a cool bar, and Wisconsin decor. The patio was super cute as well! We would have loved to sit out there but it was super hot and we had just come from the Packers game. They have a huge parking lot as well. It's very easy to find somewhere to park in the lot. I'm a big fan of most things in the cheese state: great nature, tons of lakes, friendly people, good food, lots of beer, and of course cheese. One of the only parts of Wisconsin I don't like is Green Bay. It has the feeling of a rundown industrial city. Milwaukee is an industrial city too, but it also has a vibrance to it that is lacking in Green Bay. However, most Wisconsinites have an affection for this city because it's home to the Packers. And Badger State Brewing is right next to the Packers stadium. My wife and I tried the brewery on a weekday summer evening. The patio is plenty big and the beer options are plentiful. It was pretty good beer in a relaxing setting. Fortunately for Green Bay, there are breweries like Badger State that are trying to liven up the city. I won't be back to Green Bay anytime soon, but if I did, I would want it to be during a Packers game. And before that game, I would go to Badger State Brewing. read more

My partner and I had a few rounds of beers when we visited Badger State Brewing Company. The variety of beers we tried were hit or miss. We preferred their pale ales over their darker beers. It was a Thursday night during quarantine so it wasn't majorly busy but there were at least two to three other tables while we were there. Two of the three staff members wore masks. The lady in the gift shop did not so we didn't go in/by her. A handful of folx came in for takeout food and they also had a nice fridge full of beer packs and growlers to go. We were up in Wisconsin for my grandmother's funeral and stayed at a hotel across the street. We picked the hotel given its proximity to this brewery and would go back to both in the future but might ask for some samples rather than relying on their descriptions. read more

Super fun atmosphere - full building on a Saturday evening around 4pm! Great service and super long beer list. If you're looking for a good variety of beers, this is your place. They had lots of "non-traditional" beers too. Plenty of sours or fruity based beers for those who are new to drinking beers as well. We would've loved to see more ambers on the list. The beers are listed on a rotating list on one of the TVs and on the chalk board behind the bar - a bit hard to see if you're not right at the bar. A menu would be super helpful! We ordered 2 flights and sampled 10 different beers, they were reasonably priced and fun to pick out! They give you an erasable marker and you write right on the board which beers you'd like a 4oz sample of. They also have board games for groups to play. It's a nice touch! FYI- they have food that can be delivered in, and we did see two groups order it, but we didn't ourselves. I attached some photos with details on how to order the food. We'll be back! This is any Wisconsin beer enthusiasts happy place. Only drawback is the staff can tend to get overwhelmed during events. Keep an eye out for their barrel aged beers. Badger State Brewing Company is close to Lambeau. I walked there from the hotel and got a flight. They have quite a few IPAs that were delicious. The outside seating area is fun and comfortable. The don't have their own food. They sometimes have a food truck or you can order using a QR code from another restaurant. I ordered a grilled salmon caesar salad that was meh. I didn't feel like the food should impact the brewery's review. Definitely worth the stop! read more

I was there Thursday, August 11. It was the first time I was there and it was a wonderful experience. The bartenders were extremely accommodating, alert and aimed to please. They had a huge range of craft beers on tap. The ones I had were really really good. The hazy IPA, the grassy place that was on tap was spectacular. When in Green Bay and you want a quality beer this is definitely the spot to go to. With Lambeau Field just down the street, you can see it from the parking lot this is a popular spot especially on home game days where they host tailgate parties in the parking lot. This place has a huge parking lot and was a very nice facility with seating both inside and outside. As far as their beer selections they have plenty to choose from with many different styles of lagers, IPAs and sours to cater to any crowd. During game days they roll out a beer truck that pours beers outside and they have a massive event with a DJ and plenty of other activities. Definitely a go to spot for Packers fans and other teams fans visiting Green Bay. We have pretty good beer back home and this place definitely is comparable with the best. I did see they were offering tours which is a nice perk to offer with a free pour during these covid times. The only complaint I would've had was we did said a little bit of time to get our drinks in line because of the long lines and volume of people, would be nice if they had a pop up area outside that people could also use as an alternative spot to speed up the process. They did not have food available at the time but had a food truck outside. There are only a few TVs which makes it tough if you are watching football throughout the day. Loved BSBC! On a drive to check out Lambeau, I came across this gem! All of the beers come as full pints or 4 oz samples. Of course I wanted to try them all, so I got a few 4oz. My coworker said the Bunyan Badger Brown ale was a must try. I also enjoyed the Cream Bay (get it... like Green Bay), Porte Des Mortes Porter, and Walloon Witbier. Badger State is a beautiful taproom and a must to visit if your in town for a game. They have a huge variety of beers on tap and they have something for everyone including IPAs, porters, red and brown ales. There is a huge parking lot and lots of seating, however it does get full on the weekend. It located very close to Lambeau Field so if your visiting, Badger State is a great place to stop.
