Great place for what it is. It has many dozens of beers, all formats. I had a great Baltic porter. And other good recommendations from our excellent server, Koral. Was passing through, but if I lived here I would return for the beer. read more

Found this place quite by accident. Had a guitar/mandolin duet playing live music while I sampled a few beers. Had an ample selection from everywhere~ read more

Five stars for the beer selection, 3 for the food, so it averages out. This is a newer place I got to try out recently. Despite the name possibly suggesting some sort of a taverny feel, it's a sports bar. Nothing fancy about the atmosphere, but maybe that's on me for having too high of expectations. They've got over 60 brews on tap, and a nice selection from lighter ales to heavier stouts and ciders and sours, too. They offer pricing for different sizes, which is nice, and the option to make your own flights. The food, however, wasn't so great. We only did appetizers, so maybe the 'meals' are better, but the fried pickles were soggy and the pretzel sticks were dry. The dipping sauces helped both, but neither was that appetizing. Our server was friendly and attentive enough, and prices were reasonable. I'd go back again for the brews, and I'd give the food one more shot. read more

Love this place . Nice little acoustic jam today much better than the usual songs of the area .. great place

Burgers are simply fantastic! Flat bread pizza is also very good. Bottom line, I'm not a big beer drinker but the food will keep me coming back. read more

My wife and I stopped at Mr. Brews Taphouse for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We walked in and we were greeted immediately by one of the bartenders. I asked him for some recommendations for a beer, and he immediately gave me some thoughts about a beer that I might like based on my preferences. We ordered burgers that were amazing. If you are looking for a good burger joint, this is going to be your place to stop. In addition to the great food, they have an extensive selection of various beers on tap. I would definitely eat here again in the future. If you love a great burger and a great atmosphere, plus a good beer selection stop on in. read more

tried to go here tonight at 8:30 pm. already closed even though it says it was open until 10:00. guy wouldn't even come to door. how does a bar really close early on a thursday night. very disappointing! read more

The wife and I needed a quick bite to eat last night and trying to find some place not crawling with kiddos. Mr.Brews was the place. We liked the decor and layout. All of the many beer options was fun to sample a few and pick a couple new ones. *The burgers were good to okay, my wife & I can't quite understand why corporately they "HAVE" to cook the burgers well done. Seems odd. The fries were my wife's favorite thing we had and that is enough of a reason for to plan a return trip. read more

They have a great beer selection that changes often.  As a craft beer fan, I was impressed with their selection as they had a decent amount beers that I have not seen in the area, mixed in with classics and local favorites.  They have the beer offerings high up on the wall with cute, hand drawn labels and then a paper beer menu that a bartender or server will bring to you.  I like that the beer menu tells you the price of the beer at it's full size (along with the size), the price during happy hour and the 4oz pour price.  I sat at the bar for an early dinner and got great service.  My bartender was friendly and was quick to check on me or ask about refills.  I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries - the food came out to me in 15 minutes.  I'm not a fan of shoe string fries and they were under cooked so they were soggy and limp.  I was really excited for the burger, which was unfortunate as it was very bland and the meat itself didn't taste like much.  If you decide to get a burger, take note that the burgers don't come with a side (which is fine, just unusual).    I haven't been here for any of the events, however I noticed they often host tap takeovers and live music.  I will definitely be back for the beer and live music.   At the time of this review, on Mondays you can get a plain burger and a 16oz beer (check the beer menu as not all beers come in 16oz pours) for $10..to check if that special is still current, you can go to their Facebook and they have the special listed as an event for each Monday that this special is running.  There are other specials listed on their website, however I noticed this one was not on there. read more

I really enjoy this burger joint. The menu is small, but also offers a variety so even if you're kind of picky you can find something to enjoy. I've only tried a couple of burgers, but that's just because the Brews-Chetta Burger is so dang delightful it's hard to order anything new! The California Burger was good too. I love that I can get different seasonings on my fries. The Cajun is my favorite! This is also a super place for great beer choices. They have something like a bajillion (or close to) beers on tap, including ciders! I highly recommend checking Mr. Brews out for a yummy burger and tasty beers. read more

Went for burgers, stayed for the beers! We had a group of 6 and they were very accommodating. We each tried a different burger and enjoyed several beers. Add jalapenos, cheese, mac n cheese, if they have it you can add it. One friend had hers plain and said it was the perfect amount of flavor. Overall we were all impressed and will be going back soon. The Kentucky bourbon burger is a must try! read more

Left my husband wanting more... in a good way!!! We were happily surprised for a burger place in a strip mall. Husband had a cheeseburger w/ bacon and egg (his signature) and really enjoyed it. Be sure to order a side of family fries or chips. I had the California bean burger which was good but the way husband made the burger sound I wish I had ordered that. The beer menu is divided by flavor which I really appreciate and wth ever changing 60 on tap (good Wi selection) how could you go wrong. What we did find surprising was the kids menu... no burger?! They want to be a family pub but felt a little more bar then hoped for. There is a nice a nice outdoor seating area that looks nice and I hope they have umbrellas for sunny days. Overall we were very happy and look forward to our next visit. read more

Specifically said NO barbecue on the jalapeño burger because my boyfriend has a tomato allergy. The burger came out with barbecue all over it and I said for a second time that he has a tomato allergy so he can't eat it. They went in the back and "scraped" the toppings and barbecue off and brought it back. There was still enough barbecue on it to wipe off with a napkin for me to taste and verify that it was barbecue. What is so hard to understand about an ALLERGY. Do you not know what ANAPHYLAXIS is? How hard is it to remake a single burger when an allergy is involved? We also had the rudest waitress we have ever had in our lives. Had really high hopes for this place and 100% will NOT be back. read more

I was not very impressed with Mr Brews, it is small, loud and a chain. I was at first impressed with the huge beer selection until I ordered a flight and had to reorder 3 times because they were out of something I ordered, really frustrating. I don't like that it's a big chain either, I think I'd rather just go to the local brew pubs and tasting rooms. On the up side, it was busy yet the service was very good, and while the place is too small for live music if you actually want to talk, the band they had playing was quite good. I probably won't go back. read more

So...... this is our second time here and I am so glad we gave them a second chance. Homemade Fries are the bomb!!! Will definitely be returning. Date night for the hubby and I with beers- what else can be better?? I will return for the homemade fries alone and the service was exceptional. Only complaint was they would only cook the burgers medium well...... I like mine medium rare. If they could change that, I would be one happy girl!!! read more

Mr Brews Taphouse - West coast love in Wisconsin!! - Beer Bar Near Me - De Pere, Wisconsin

I was pretty excited to check finally check this place out because they have 60 beers on tap! Mr. Brews is a WI chain (Appleton, Plover, a few in the Madison area) and I've never been to one, so I'm glad they opened one up in De Pere. The location is small, and wouldn't recommend going here with a big group. I was here on a packed Wednesday night, and there were a couple of big groups and it really held things up when people kept popping in. As I was sipping on my beer, I was really impressed with the service as they had three servers running all over the place, getting the drinks for their own table. That was good because there was one bartender behind the bar and he was busy keeping up with the customers at the bar and cleaning the glasses. The beer was great. Tons of selections from WI breweries. Was surprised by having a couple of beers from small GB breweries that doesn't distribute to many bars. The menu looked like it was mostly burgers. I didn't eat there, but the burgers looked pretty good as I was eyeballing them as people nearby ordered food. Can't wait to come again to try out the food...maybe during a sportsball game, as it looks like a fun place to watch a game. read more

So good! Glad we stopped by for lunch while our errands. It was so good we ordered takeout a couple of days later. Clean, fun and modern inside. Friendly staff. Nice variety of beers a ciders. Most importantly for me good vegetarian options! They have the impossible burger and so many great toppings. We also had to go back so soon to try more sides! Homemade chips, fries and pretzels are all amazing! Put the beer cheese on everything! Will definitely make this one of our regular spots. read more

Mr Brews Taphouse - a glass of beer - Beer Bar Near Me - De Pere, Wisconsin

Very pleasant summer evening with a classic burger, medium-well, with all the fixings, and a local beer, on a shaded airy patio with a warm breeze blowing in from the field next door. Pulled pork sandwich was moist and flavorful. There was even a little classic rock music piped in that covered up any traffic noise. Family friendly. Efficient and friendly waitstaff read more

Excellent beer selection, obviously. Good menu is just ok. It's bar food. I would not recommend their salads, the mixed greens are always a little wilted or have black pieces. Their burgers are decent, but very salty, though they have a bunch of different flavors. Go for the amazing selection and get some curds or fries. read more

Burgers were ok. Good but not fantastic. Sat at the bar. Bartender fixated on one couple and basically ignored all of the other customers. Guessing they were friends. Other wait staff looked incredibly unenthusiastic and hung out at a table with their phones ignoring customers. Unimpressed. read more

This is our Go to place for a good burger. They have great chips and the soft pretzels are my son's favorite.

Recently visited with my son. This is a burger place but one doesnt order upfront- since it is a slightly fancy burger place, one sits down at a table. We waited for 10 min- never noticed by the understaffed help and walked out. I am never going to to wait the estimated 30 min or more to receive a slightly fancy burger. If I was big into beer like the other reviewers maybe I would have given it a higher rating read more

Mr Brews Taphouse - a plate of fries and a salad - Beer Bar Near Me - De Pere, Wisconsin

Decent service consodering we went during a packer game, food was fantastic, but I do have a few criticism that if adressed would take this place from good to great. 1) too loud, the tvs are turned up so high that in the confined space its incredibly loud. 2) windows should be tinted 3) fries and chips need less salt or just dont add any 4) my burger (hangover) had too little sauce but was otherwise delicous Really good place to eat with very fair prices, but could be greater. Definatly not a place to pass up if you're looking for a good burger read more

Don't frost your mugs, guys. That's first day stuff. Great selection, but weirdly priced. Prices don't include tax so you end up with nickels and pennies after a purchase. Way too bright during the summer months. Bars shouldn't look like WalMart. Tint those windows so my degenerate ass can day drink in peace and watch the game. Get some of these things in order, and I'd be a huge fan. read more

Unprofessional and pathetic from the employees here.
