    Interesting wine and artwork.

A lovely spot for a glass of wine and a tapa or two. We started here for a food tour of little Havana and it was just delightful. The artist is simply amazing. Buy some of his work. He's impresionante.

Amazing little spot in Little Havana. We didn't try the menu, but truly enjoyed the art. Just as great was meeting the talented Mr. Gainza! He was lovely and personable and we got to watch him in action. Wish we could have stayed for at least drinks, but very glad to make the visit and pick up art for home.

Lovely art gallery and tavern. Agustin, the owner is very pleasant, he has made all of the art that decorate this colorful, but yet tranquil space. There is a bar, also a selection of wine and beers, authentic cafecito cubano. Perfect place to end an afternoon touristic trip to little Havana. It's quiet and a calm ambient, which is exactly what I needed after to loud and high vibrational energy of the streets of little Havana.

This place used to be a gallery. Is now la taberna del pintor with $5 tapas and well price wines! Live music on weekends! Very nice for a date night

Passed by this gallery after seeing their display that interests me. Bright & colorful artwork. Some items are also for sale. It was my lucky day to walk in because the artist himself, Agustin Gainza, was there working on another piece. Stop by and buy some of his work! I would've bought a few pieces but I only brought money for food Loved my stay at Florida Looking forward to coming back again.

Welcome home! Its owners welcome you to an amazing space that is surrounded by art, an amazing energy, and a great selection of wines. This is the best place on Calle Ocho.

Instead, we were sat at the smallest bar seating, which was completely inappropriate and not romantic at all for an occasion like Valentine's Day. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.

I've come here quite a few times and often recommend it when meeting friends or colleagues, and for a while, it never failed me. Three visits ago, we had a larger group and noticed an extra item was added to the bill. 2 visits ago, while I should've learned my lesson to check the bill before paying, we had ANOTHER extra item added to the bill. While I do take accountability for not checking, our groups were large, so there wasn't much flexibility in doing that in the moment. While we were frustrated it happened twice in a row, our most recent visit really left a bad taste in my mouth. After paying the bill, we were asked by management to leave as it was a Saturday night, and they needed to seat others. If we were made aware that we would be on a time crunch BEFORE we were seated, I could've made a conscious to either stick around knowing I would get ushered out, or I would have chosen a completely different spot. As paying customers who are tipping for a nice service, it's really sad to see how customers are actually treated. As an extremely loyal customer to this place, I'm going to be taking a break as it's sadly been really disappointing me the last couple of times

I've been visiting a lot recently, and even joined their wine club which offers two curated wines a month. Locally owned and operated, I feel really good supporting a place that the owners put so much effort into to offer such a gem of a spot for locals. I've tried a lot of wines here, and I'm always amazed at finding something new to me that I enjoy. If you haven't been, it's the perfect place for a date, a girls night, or a day for yourself. They also have good snacks and charcuterie for you to munch on while you drink vino. Don't know much about wine? No problem. Their team will point you in the right direction and they have something for everyone. This is an approachable wine bar- they want you to enjoy the wine as much as they do and I love that about Magie. This spot has a nice indoor space and a beautiful outdoor area. They also have a sister location in the Grove.

There is a parking lot right on the side of the building, but if that lot is full, there is also street parking, and parking across the street in a lot behind the Citadel. The service here was great! All of the staff were very nice and welcoming. The set up of the lounge is also very cozy. There is plenty of space for people to sit whether you're on a date or with a small group, but seating is first come first serve, so if you're coming with a group it's better to get there earlier in the evening so you have a space comfortable enough for the size of your group. There is also indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. There are many wines to choose from and they also have a decent menu with light bites. We opted for the Dino nuggets and caviar which were a hit, the fried olives and some meats and cheeses with some cornishons, fig jam and a sliced baguette. Overall this place has a great vibe to it and I heard they host events every so often. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice space to chill with some friends and enjoy a nice spot in Miami.

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The only thing that was a hassle was getting a table. We had to wait a bit in order for a table to become available. Overall, this spot is a very cozy place to hang and mingle with friends.

As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.
