This is simply an amazing permanent exhibition added to Miami's very popular art galleries. The entrance fee is FREE. You will need to show Photo ID to the securuty card. The hours are from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm everyday except Sunday when it is open from 11:00 am-7:00 pm. No pets allowed. I didn't see any benches on our walk except for a couple of chairs at the entrance. Some of the walking path is small rocks but it was not difficult to walk over them. You should add this to your list of places to visit in Miami.

The simplicity, the balance, the silence it creates, it almost feels like the artwork is inviting you to pause for a moment. I found myself just staring at it, letting the calm and tranquility take over. The gallery itself is beautifully curated, with a clean and thoughtful layout that lets each piece breathe. Just the tip toe noise on the wooden floor makes me chill every time I walk through it. It's the kind of place where you don't rush; you wander, reflect, and connect with the art in your own way. It is free to access and all the personnel is nice and attentive. If you're in Coral Gables and looking for a moment of peace mixed with inspiring contemporary art, Cernuda Arte is definitely worth stepping into.

Located inside an art gallery, this spot has a fun afterhours speakeasy vibe complete with tapas and a generous cocktail menu. Since we'd just eaten, we didn't enjoy food but definitely savored their beverages. My coconut mojito - my usual poison - was on point with the mix of the elixir, the coconut flakes and overall composition. For the special occasion. the owner / manager even visited our table and offered us complimentary aguardiente shots. What made the night even better? The classic salsa and merengue playing, and salsa dancing with friends until these 40-somethings were ready to call it a night. It's a very nice little spot; definitely plan on stopping by again!

Leah Arts District is not in real close proximity of bars and restaurants. It is in a very industrial district. The quality of the murals is great. I drove around to see the murals, you could easily walk the area but then again, it is very industrial. I saw everything in less than 30 minutes. The murals are nice to see but if you go set your expectations accordingly. I believe they may hold special events.

The two wanted to create something cool that would attract people to Hialeah which didn't have any cultural arts programs. The pair picked a name for the area and partners were selected to launch the project. The first event was a street festival held in April 2015 which was attended by over 2,000 people. The Leah Arts District is adjacent to Flamingo Plaza, a place to get your off beat purchases. The arts district is located in warehouses that were a hub of manufacturing in the 80's and 90's. After work was outsourced the warehouses were abandoned. Thrift stores moved into the area sparking an arts scene. The Leah Arts District emerged as an affordable place for artists to live, work, and showcase their art. It's located only 15 minutes from the more well known Wynwood Arts District. The Leah hosts block parties, live music, workshops, and performances. The area has approximately 30 murals from East 9th Street to East 17th Street and East Tenth Ave to the railroad tracks You can follow the Leah Arts District on Facebook for upcoming events. Unbranded Brewing Company is having their grand opening on February 23 and the annual block party is on March 7. I would recommend attending one of the events because on a Sunday afternoon the area was completely dead. Right now the Leah Arts Districts looks Wynwood did in 2005. The rent is lower here which is attracting artists. This area is being touted as the next Wynwood so it will be interesting to see how things develop. It's definitely a place to keep your eye on.

The Art of Banksy is the best rotating art gallery I've been to recently in Miami. I thought it was…read moremore robust than the Van Gough exhibit, a historic artist I love, and eons better than Superblue, which wasn't for me. I really enjoyed the artist history and story, but I dropped a star (was debating two) because after reading more about it after the fact, I'm pretty sure this is not condoned or associated at all by the artist (which would go against some of his or her messaging). Still, I personally did like the exhibit and learned a lot. I just prefer clearer communication from the exhibit about what it is and is not and ideally support from/to the artist. Banksy is a living artist legend of our time. Known for their elusiveness, street art and rebellious nature - this may not instantly appeal to everyone, but it did for me (but hey that's art right?). I casually followed some of his or her headlines over the years and always liked the underlying messages and rebellious nature of this artists work. I don't consider myself a Banksy or art expert by any means; however, after visiting this exhibit I felt a lot more attune to the artist and his or her passionate messages, struggles, frustrations, etc. I can't say this often: some of these visuals provoked a really emotional feeling out of me. There's a lot of irony in the pieces. Raw truths. A lot to self reflect on, some encouragement of hope - maybe. I felt this exhibit didn't sell out to just cater towards an Instagram crowd (but did perhaps rip the artist off). In true Banksy irony, even if it did go viral like some of the less stellar exhibits I've been to: great - not for the ticket sales (which I'm unclear associated with the artist), for the thought provoking meanings in and behind the work challenging society to do better. Raise the bar. This exhibit is a good introduction to Banksy's work, however, after some post visit research I'm unclear if its officially condoned by the artist. There is some limited parking on the street of the exhibit, but valet for $20 and $30. The $30 price is to have your car parked on site. For $20 the car goes somewhere else and you need to wait to get your car. The venue is very open and breezy which is good during CoVid. The exhibit is sectioned off into topics and are spaced out well to not feel crowded. Our tickets were for 11am, we arrive a little early and were admitted. Closer to noon the exhibit became more active. I'd say allow 1:45 minutes to view the exhibit without rushing. The QR codes enable you to get deeper into each piece's explanation. Clearly Banksy has a message about political and current events. He is an insightful artist and this exhibition is thoughtful and worthwhile viewing.

Lumas primarily specializes in photography but they also have some sculpture along with light boxes, illustrations, paintings, and digital art. Lumas was founded by a group of art collectors with the mission of making art affordable for everyone. They want to help you select pieces that you will love but which will also appreciate in value. They also want to support emerging artists. They have grown the business model to galleries all over Europe, Ney York, and here in Miami Beach. Lumas sells work from well known artists like Marc Quinn, Damien Hirst, and Takashi Murakami along with pieces from artists just being discovered. The tin can sardines by Ortaire de Coupigny caught my eye along with humorous photographs featuring Stars Wars and DC Universe characters. The staff was very friendly and happy to chat about the work I was interested in. I really enjoyed my visit to this gallery.
