Agua verde is such a vibe, especially during sunny days (it's right next to the water so the ambience is always dope). We used to stop by pretty often back during undergrad at UW. Anyways, the food itself is pretty good! I normally get their pollo burrito bowl but opted for something new this time. I've honestly never heard or tried a "machete" before... but yall it is gas! Basically just steak + avo + peppers + cheese in a fried tortilla... like how could ya not like that. The only cons about agua verde = parking can sometimes be difficult just depending on the day + prices are a lil high for what it is.

Agua Verde is that bright and lively Mexican eatery you go to for the vibes and the sunset views, especially on a sunny day in Seattle. But a warning; everyone else has the same idea lol. We came as a group of 8 and waited in line for about half an hour. After that we were told it'd be another hour for a big table or we could split up so guess what we picked? Yep we split. Not ideal, but the views of Portage Bay and the food def helped soften the wait. You gotta order up front, get your table number, and seat yourself. Sounds efficient but the kitchen did fumble our order (coz they had us split I guess) we got Baja tacos instead of shrimp, and that was just one of a few mix ups. That said one of the servers was incredibly kind and made sure everything was fixed, so kudos to her. We shared: 1. Vegan Salad: 5/5 Surprise star of the night! Super flavorful and super delicious 2. Mangodilla 5/5 Sweet mango + savory chicken was the perfect combo. Add verde sauce if you want for even better flavors 3. Vegetarian Enchiladas 4/5 Solid dish. It's also served with tasty green rice 4. Guac and chips: 4/5 very fresh 5. Veggie Quesadilla 1/5 Unfortunately a flop. Dry, bland and no flavors I also had the lemonade which was very refreshing The vibe here is def 10/10. It's lively, fun and right by the water. If you can, grab a seat on the patio for sunset views of Portage Bay. Knocking off one star for the order goof ups but I'd absolutely go back!!

The views from this restaurant are beautiful. I can't wait to visit in the summer as well. You order at the front and they bring the food to your table. While you're waiting, you can go to the self serve salsa station. I really liked the green and mild red one. I think the other ones were spicy but I didn't try. The brought out the food pretty quickly. I got the nachos & they were so yummy. They put layers of toppings, so you don't have to worry about eating only the top and being left with plain chips. My friends got the vegetarian enchiladas and a mango quesadillas. Both of them were really good, but the mango quesadillas was a unique highlight. My friends also got a fish burrito which he said was the best fish burrito he's ever had! I will definitely be visiting again! Great place, yummy food, and beautiful views!

What a cute place right on the water for delicious Mexican. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We started with the chips and guacamole. They even have a salsa bar, watch out for the hot one! I had the pork tamales, a special and my daughter had the fish tacos. All delicious, the chips a little on the salty side. The homemade strawberry lemonade was a sweet treat as well.

Nestled right off the water near the UW campus . There was a line when we arrived at 5p but it moved quickly. You place your order inside and find your seat yourself. Service was super quick. The chicken nachos hit the spot- the chips were nice and crunchy with the cheesy sauce and all the toppings. Chicken was really flavorful. The salad looked a bit small but ended up feeding the two of us with extra left in the bowl. I thought everything was really tasty. I'd def go back again. Tasty food with a view can't beat that.

Really fun spot!! Good for a casual, sunny day in Seattle. you can order at the window, or sit inside. The wait can be long, but worth it. Definitely, I little pricy, but a good experience. Parking can also be a bit tricky, but you're right on the water, so nice walking area.

This is a joint review for both the restaurant, MARINA Catina, and the paddle club. We came by for partners bday and enjoyed lunch on the deck before going to rent a double kayak which is under the restaurant. Aqua Verde itself we had delicious tacos; *We had rockfish (3) tacos *Carnitas tacos *Strawberry frozen slushy and lemonade Lovely food and great views that look right out into the water. Paddle club, under the restaurant, is by the hour based on which you rent, they offer paddle boards($37?, single kayak($24), and double kayaks($32). Be sure to go to the bathrooms (coded access) and bring a lock if you use the lockers or do a dry bag. Really easy to check out and check back in. Be aware of their hours when you check out so that you don't come back too late. They also offer sunscreen should you need it :). The marina Catina is fully outdoors and easily accessible after paddle,kayaking/time in water, marina Catina is all via QR code for ordering and dog friendly; they have some nice shade and umbrellas for the tables. Lovely way to end a day on the water for sure.

You can't beat the location of this cafe! Right by the waters, you have an amazing view as you dine here. The service is fast and food is pretty good. They have a sauce bar where you can get different salsas.

Jordan was tending and she shared good places to explore in Seattle since I'd left 29 years ago and things change, right? The tequila options here rival those in Austin as Alana had just left there yesterday and LALO reps were out in force. Cute spot - seating outside was ample, nice views. Service was spot on.

I really hate how hyped this place is. I really don't think the food here is that good. But... the people, the vibe, the colors, the water in the background is pretty dope. As you walk in, there is the counter to order. You can grab a seat first or order first. I suggest looking at the menu first because the line is typically long in this place. After you order, you get back to your seat but first stop by the middle bar to grab your salsas. I love spicy and none of them are terribly too hot. The place is always bustling. Food generally comes out within 20 minutes. So you won't be starving for too long. The drinks comes fairly quickly. None of the drinks or food stands out. The servers are always chill. They seem to just drop plates and go about their business. There's a ton of people always here so they still busy. Sometimes I sit on the patio in the main section or I go around to the back which is down the stairs and around the corner. That location is called marina. But they are affiliated. They have a really nice view of the marina and it's open seating and open air. That's a good photo opportunity for your IG or Yelp if that's your thing. Menu is the same. Drinks are in compostable cups. I think it's okay. You can probably find better Mexican in the city. But for a happy hour with colleagues, this is a good spot for that

    Corn tortilla
    Randall F.

I wasn't super hungry when walking by... my bad but I HAD to get some homemade corn tortillas and a hibiscus(Jamaican) agua Fresca, it was PERFECT and really hit my snacky spot for the day. I'm from out of town, but I'll be coming back for more for sure while I'm there area! The menu looks amazing people were very friendly, especially the young man that took my order. SUPER cute little place, with lovely outdoor seating

I'm glad it is now the site for Saint Bread and the structure behind functioned as an events venue. Many independent businesses today were onsite for the Plan C Bake Sale to support reproductive organizations and services threatened by the current Roe v Wade political climate. And boy, did greater Seattle show up en masse! Fellow Yelp Elite/IG friend, Wendy K accompanied me this morning as we waited in a long line to attend and show our support on this blustery Sunday morning (6/5/22). There were complimentary bottled water, plant based chocolate beverages, and coffee. A plethora of quality baked items were available for purchase, as well as, kombucha, flowers, chocolates, condiments, and coffee beans. Between the two of us, we were able to cover the majority of the participating businesseses. A big success for all the organizers and participants. Observing just the first hour onsite, demonstrated the public support via their attendance and contributions. Easily participating indie vendors could have had doubled or tripled their par numbers for this unique event. First time to attend such a gathering in Seattle! Kudos to all the event organizers and participants!

Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! And that Photo Booth: all are essential part of throwing an epic event. All events should be this fun!! I guess they will be if you throw them here: weddings, birthdays, corporate events, sweet 16th. I wouldn't mind coming here for a photoshoot: hello contents!!Or just a fun anything event.Did I mention the views?? Ahh the possibilities!!!

We saw a few people making their way to the dock that were not on our guest list. It would have been nice if they could have discreetly entered and avoided our dining area. We had 150 guests and a bridal party of twelve. There were only two stalls in each bathroom. If you want photo opps by the water, the bride and groom can take pictures on the dock. There is also a lovely place by the water that is a short walk from the building. The venue has various vases and containers that you can borrow to put on tables. The sound system is simple. The venue was not completed in March and we were given excuses every week since then about why things were not happening. My fiancé ended up going to see the construction progress on a date not scheduled with Peter and Crystal which is when he found the stop work order posted on their front door. Every time we had visited they covered this with a poster advertising the venue. We confronted them about this at our next meeting where they denied any problems and assured us that the venue would be completed. After looking into it more ourselves we found out that they do not have permits for the construction and have multiple people trying to get money back from them. At our next meeting we confronted Peter with this information where he finally said that our event would not be able to happen. The stop work order had been in affect since January. He chose not to inform anyone of this and keep taking people's money. We asked for our money back and he said if he wrote us a check it would bounce. They do not have any money and are scamming people. He promised to pay my dad back on Monday and it has not happened. He has stopped responding to us. The staff here are unbelievably kind and understanding, especially given everything that we were all going through; including their accommodation for the changing dates of our stays. At one point the staff even went so far as to give us a tour of their ADA accessible rooms and had the pull-out sofa made up into a bed for us. The hotel itself is walking-distance convenient to nearly everything in the U District, from restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, the university and its medical facilities, including an Emergency Room. Of course, this is an urban area, so you should be prepared to encounter some colorful characters when walking around. On that note, the hotel itself does have at least one security guard, and the doors, underground garage, and elevators are secured by keycard. Like other Residence Inn properties, the rooms all feature fully-equipped kitchenettes, with full-sized refrigerator/freezers, dishwashers, a stovetop, full-sized microwave, and all the cookware, dishware and glassware you could need. The rooms are all very clean, and any problems are fixed promptly (we had a thermostat randomly go out in one of our rooms; it was replaced in under an hour). The rooms are remarkably quiet. Each day a delicious full buffet breakfast is available, with some rotating items for weekdays and the weekend. They do not have a make-your-own waffle station, but they provide pre-cooked waffles on weekends and a breakfast sandwich on weekdays. They also have sausage, cereal, muffins, bagels, fruit, vegan sausage...a very wide variety, such that even the pickiest eaters will be satisfied. The on-site gym is well-equipped with dumbbells, two adjustable benches, a weight stack cable machine, several treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes, along with medicine balls, exercise balls, and a foam roll. There is no pool, hot tub, or sauna. Each floor features two washers and dryers that use an app to pay for each load and cycle. Detergent is available at the sundry market in the lobby. The hotel's underground parking garage features EV charges, but has a 6'8" height restriction. The hotel does have several spaces for overheight vehicle parking, but it is not in a secure garage, the spaces are in a surface lot directly behind the hotel. These spaces are not necessarily for oversized vehicles; we had multiple instances when other vehicles had parked on the lines or across spaces, making it impossible to use the adjacent spaces. The front desk staff are incredibly understanding about this, and happy to help find and cover the costs for alternate spaces. Bottom line: if you need to stay in this part of town, and especially if you will have an extended stay, this is the place to be.

Just something neutral, classy, and easy to work with my vision for my wedding. Apparently I was asking too much, because every other typical wedding site was $3000+ to rent, required you to use their vendors (boooo), had hideous carpet or tapestries, or their coordinators liked to ignore me. Then, in a final search of desperation, I found a link to Great Hall at Green Lake. It was meant to be. Nelda was super prompt in responding to me (major cookies and points here), friendly, and didn't just want to throw numbers at me. My fiance and I scheduled a tour of the place and Nelda showed us every nook and cranny, and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. I also really liked that it got a lot of natural lighting in the building. We initially wanted an outdoor wedding but being in Seattle, that was too much of a risk to take even in the month of August. We were initially concerned that it would be too hot and that we would need to rent air conditioners but it was pretty cool outside that day so we did not need to. They also had some large portable fans on the stage if needed but we did not need them on our wedding day. The staff was very hands-off. We scheduled a tour twice and sometimes it seemed like they were not expecting us. I think it was because someone was on their way out of the job and some things needed to be communicated. They were very flexible about letting us come in to look at the place for a second time with our wedding coordinator and set out chairs and tables to see what it would be like, they basically left us alone and said we could leave whenever we were finished. They have one larger room upstairs to be used as a bridal suite, and then one smaller room downstairs that seemed too small to be a second bridal suite. I ended up letting the groom/groomsmen get ready in the main, larger bridal suite, then us ladies got ready at my friend's house, and then we told the guys to leave when we were on our way and that worked out pretty well. I had about 120ish people at my wedding and it was pretty tight when the tables were out, like my husband and I could barely walk across to get to our table and people had to stand and scoot in. During there ceremony, it was perfectly fine. The main thing that was an issue for me is that they do not have a dumpster that we could use and expected us to haul our own trash out after the wedding reception. They charged quite a lot of money if we were to leave trash for them to dispose of. I think that was the most stressful part, and they also said that we can't dump garbage in the neighboring dumpsters. This was the only reason for me taking off one star. Otherwise, I loved this venue for my wedding!

I went for a private social event. The parking in this neighborhood is practically non-existent…read more But, I got lucky tonight. The location is great - right on the water. (if you're attending a summer event and can be outside, or it's before sunset.) The bar seems to have lots of options, but no prices listed. So, it's a roll of the dice. "Market price" for a wine pour, I guess. Plus, they add an automatic gratuity. (Be sure to read the fine print) THEN, the card swipe machine asks you for an additional tip! This place hasn't been remodeled or updated in what seems like 50+ years. I hope to never return.

I was initially attracted to the idea of the social club. The lounge, which has a traditional college pub feel, includes a pool table, shuffleboard, a large flat screen, and lots of seating - a great space for hanging out. The venue which consists on two floating vessels has a large dock off the back. We were blown away by how much fun the dock has been. On nice summer days, we would come down for a couple of hours and lounge/lay out on the dock or hop in the water and swim for a bit. There are number of singles, couples, and families so it brings a nice balance of people. (We don't have kids but I've always thought this is the perfect club for those who do - without being too annoying for those of us who don't.) Also throughout the summer, they do Wednesday happy hours and a fun outdoor Thursday night concert series on the dock. I've talked to a number of serious rowers who enjoy the club for the boat access. My husband and I aren't rowers but to our surprise, we've had a lot of fun taking out kayaks (and paddle boards) - both with free access as a part of the membership. The gym isn't fancy but it's clean and has some good equipment (stationary bikes, rowing machines, weights). There are never more than a few people in the gym at once. I've liked it so much that I canceled another gym membership and only come here now. I wasn't sure if this would be a better "summertime" club but we've enjoyed into the colder months. In addition to my ongoing use of the gym, they offer fun social events like college football viewing parties and wine tasting events. Lastly, I have nothing but great things to say about the staff. They genuinely care about their members and have helped create a warm and welcoming environment. They really help set the tone for the overall feel of the club, especially for the social events. I'm glad we made the choice to join. It's been a great addition for us.
