AGPest does cover the Temecula and Murrieta areas which was a huge relief to me when looking for a good company take care of a rat problem in our home. Another company had quoted me sky-high prices to "seal up my house," meaning close off any entry points that rodents could use to get into my house, especially the attic where we had evidence of a rat. The "other company" quoted me $1,700 to "seal" the house. AGPest quoted $75 per hole or entry point. Even if I had a dozen places needing to be repaired or closed off (which I didn't) it would not come anywhere near the price a different pest company wanted to charge! Another thing, we were quoted only $195 by AGPest for 10 traps in the attic with 5 visits to check the traps. Again, this was a better price than the first company I called. AGPest does many HOAs and commercial jobs, including office complexes and Camp Pendleton. Since they do residential I would encourage anyone who thinks they have a problem with pests to call them first. Service is awesome, friendly, helpful and honest. read more

I would give AG Pest zero stars if I could. My experience was both unsafe and extraordinarily disorganized. UNSAFE AG Pest was hired to treat a bee infestation inside a small opening in my condo building. The infestation was located within the structure between my main living floor and my rooftop balcony and vegetable garden. Before treatment, I put in writing that I am pregnant, have a serious lung condition, and did not want to be exposed to pesticides. I specifically asked for the spraying time so I could remain inside and first cover the vegetables on my balcony. I was told that the spraying would occur between 10AM and 12PM. Relying on that information, I went outside earlier that morning to cover my vegetables. AG Pest later confirmed in writing that they had actually sprayed between 8:30 and 9:00AM, without notifying me that they had arrived or that spraying had begun. Their failure to follow the communicated schedule exposed me while I was outside. I experienced stinging eyes, stinging throat, dizziness, and a runny nose. Because of my symptoms and pregnancy, I had to contact Poison Control who advised me to be evaluated by my Perinatologist. I had to make a separate appointment to assess my lung health and my baby's health. Alarmingly, I also found another one-star Yelp review (H.M. on Mar 19, 2024) in which a parent reported that AG Pest sprayed pesticides a foot away from their baby in a stroller, who allegedly inhaled the spray. Their reported experience was even worse than mine, but the similarity raises serious concerns about AG Pest's notification and exposure-prevention practices. UNORGANIZED This situation followed months of chaos. AG Pest sent an inspector on April 21 who took photographs but never followed up. After repeated emails and phone calls, the company could not locate its own inspection records and wanted to send another inspector approximately three months later to repeat the process. AG Pest also proposed having a field technician "hang outside my open window" to spray the bee entry point while my home's windows remained open. When I explained the risk of pesticide entering my home, particularly because I am pregnant and have a serious lung condition, the response was that it would "only be for a few minutes." I found that dismissive and completely inadequate given the health information I had explicitly provided. I had to advocate for a lift to keep the pesticides outside of my home. This company's missing records, poor internal communication, shifting plans, unsafe proposal, failure to follow the stated spraying time, and lack of real-time notice created a dangerous and preventable situation. Based on my experience, I would not trust AG Pest to perform pesticide work around pregnant people, children, individuals with respiratory conditions, pets, gardens, or occupied homes. read more

Makes sure to remind us to keep our dog inside while he is spraying and leaves me a note when it's safe for her to go out again. I live in National city and my original call to Agpest was for my flea problem. We don't have any pets and no carpet. Just fleas left from previous owners that lived in the house I just moved to. A guy named Miguel came out and sprayed the yard and around the house. We were good for about a two weeks and I called about more fleas. Miguel wasn't available so another guy came out and sprayed and put bombs in the house. I was charged extra, but credited back for it. They assured me the flea cycle would break after a month and I wouldn't have anymore. His shirt was untucked and when he arrived that he was off at four and that he has a life and that he was not going to work over time. I have a 6 month old baby who I had outside with me, I was about to get in my car and left her in her stroller in the shade while I adjusted the car seat. Well extremely smart (sarcasm) pest guy sprayed the stuff all along the wall not even a foot away from the stroller!!!! So my baby literally just breathed in all the chemicals used to kill bugs!!!! You would think common sense is to avoid the area where a BABY is, but he didn't even need to use brain cells because my mom specifically asked him to avoid the area, or do it last after I had left. ZERO stars. The workers are vile and disgusting! On the signed paperwork I made a note that I would leave my keys under my mat for the workers to enter my apt while I'm at work. Apparently the message did not get relayed and they broke in through my front window, bending my screen and leaving my cat tree, which is against the window, askew in the living room. If they had an ounce of common sense, they would check under the mat before breaking into my home. They URINATED in my toilet, did NOT flush, left the toilet seat up and peed all around the rim of the toilet. They also did not put the screens back properly on multiple apartments in the complex. AGPest has been treating my Cannery Island Palm for about a year now. My palm has/had been hit by that Weevil. My palm was failing quickly, but was told that AGPest had a treatment. They came out and verified that my palm was infested with that Weevil. They confirmed they had a treatment, but did want to inform me that it was not a guarantee. I accepted that and had them begin treatment. They have treated my palm quarterly for a year now and now my palm has a lot of new growth and appears that it is going to make it. This palm is a major part of my landscape and has a lot of sentimental meaning to me and my family. We are so grateful to AGPest. I decided to give a local company my business. I hadn't had any problems with ants in my kitchen for over a year and the morning after Dave treated my yard for ants my kitchen pantry and countertops were covered in ants. I immediately called and asked for a manager. Dave told me he was the manager. I told him about the kitchen ants and he said they were in the walls already. He offered to come back again and spot treat with gel my kitchen counter and pantry. He was very defensive and accusatory and blamed me for having ants in my walls already. Bree in the office called an hour before our scheduled termite inspection to say their employee had a personal ER attend to and they could not do inspection. Originally I told her we were closing escrow in a week and needed this asap. We rescheduled again and they did a no show. She claimed it was originally set for Thursday however after reviewing my voice recording it confirmed I was not crazy and they did not show up when promised. Today was the last straw just now I learned the tech did not enter the gate because it had a bungee cord. He considered that locked and left. The seller said in 30 yrs that they have had a simpler bungee cord noone has ever not come in because of this. Bree in the office suggested I find another company. After many years of happy service from this company, my husband and I are now very dissatisfied with AG pest customer service. The first issue is when we called for a free reteat for gophers. Keep in mind we just had our monthly service performed a week prior. Jeff came out and took care of things as he always does (Jeff has always done right by us). We got a bill for another service fee. When we called to complain and request this bill to be dropped, we were told since it is a new month as service fee is to be applied. We did not like this and we're very upset but we decided, fluke. Won't happen again since we have always had great service before. Fast forward 3 weeks later. We need another retreat for gophers. We call and get our guy Jeff out to do his thing. Again another service fee. We call again and get, it is time for your monthly service. WHAT???? Needless to say we are dropping AG pest and finding another company that is not stuck on the bottom line. AGPEST has serviced my property for the last 2 years and more recently in the past 6 months a new technician named Charles has been completing the monthly service. Charlie does an excellent job eliminating the rodents, spiders, gophers, rats and mice. I live in a rural area and the rats plentiful. Charlie also goes the extra mile and points out areas on the property that need to be repaired to eliminate access to the home. We have used agricultural pest control on our home for 17 years. We have half an acre of property, and on it are lots of trees, bushes and opportunities for critters to roam and wreak havoc. When we first moved in there were literally rats jumping over a walkway in the backyard to get from one grazing area to another. Soon after, we called Ag Pest and the parade of rodents came to an end, though of course they still crop up every now and then. Over 17 years of course, questions and issues arise here and there, and each time I have dealt with JR from their office. Every single time he has been extremely personable, knowledgeable, and eager to make this customer happy, and he has. I also need to mention our current technician, Charles, as frankly they do not come any better than him. Charles is very friendly and personable, but more importantly, he takes tremendous pride in doing the very best job for his customers. We use Agpest to spray our canary palm trees after we lost two of them to weevils. They are reliable, thorough and knowledgeable.

We were expecting an easy enough process, considering how much preparation work went into getting our condo complex ready to be fumigated. We were given very specific instructions on how to leave our keys for access to our home, and to our storage units in the carport. We left our keys as instructed, and upon returning home found that they had drilled out our locks to our storage units. We were unable to return home for several days after we were allowed to return, and realized the doors to the storage units had been open the whole time, without any notification that they had unsecured our valuables. We weren't the only ones affected. Several other neighbors had left their keys just as instructed, and also got their locks cut or drilled. We emailed AG Pest the night we returned (over two weeks ago) and never received a response. A second email also got no response. Secure your belongings, and go with someone else. read more

What a blessing Tom, Adam, and James were to come rescue us from a nightmare of new pests on my mother's property! We had Agricultural service done around my mother's home, an acre with hundreds of eucalyptus trees, lots of leaves on a 8mile long paved drive way and parking area. The staff were excellent, professional and caring! I was so Blessed to find them, as my mom's current household pest control company recommended this company to help with trees, drive way, parking area and all around home, patio, motorhomes, and cars, because she was suddenly invaded with something like chiggers/couldn't see anything but your feet and legs were attacked and bitten up stinging when you walked outside on property, and at the same time the trees were invaded suddenly over two months with spiders spreading actually living in the trees making nests everywhere! It was a nightmare! They were coming down on my car when I came to visit my mother! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called AD Pest in a frantic, and they scheduled Tom to come out to figure out the tree spider situation and what to do about it, and they sent Adam out to spay the drive way and parking areas, and then Tom arranged for James to come to deal with the spiders in the trees, around home driveway and parking areas![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wonderful results! And the price was very beyond reasonable. They really went over and above anything I expected! They really do care, and sorry for anyone that didn't have as a great experience as I did with the employees! But, I assure you, Tom and the others I dealt with do care. I had the worst experience ever with this company. Their employee, David Lewis dropped maggots all over our counters and floors when he removed a rat. Professionals put them in a bag before walking out of someones home!!! The maggots which WE had the pleasure of finding and cleaning up, and missed some, turned in to very large Flys. So we had a FLY problem shortly thereafter. To top it off David lied several times to us... telling us he "had picked up traps" or he "had not picked them up" or "there were not any left behind" and all of those statements were inaccurate in every single instance. So after this major fiasco I call the owner...who thinks it's funny to laugh about it the entire phone call. They tout themselves as PROFESSIONALS?? That is totally unprofessional especially given we had maggots all over. If my HOA wasn't contracted with them I would never, ever use them again. They did send out another employee Craig ( who was wonderful) even told us David was using very "OLD" traps and he removed them and set "NEW" traps. So do they SUBCONTRACT the territories? David must be cutting corners, on top of everything else. If I could this would be a minus star rating given how the Owner behaved. No apology and no acceptance of any responsibility. This was one of the worst business dealings I have ever had. I hired this company last fall. The initial visit was great, the man (I can't recall his name) who came out was wonderful. Super friendly and put my worries at ease. He came back the next month ... and then that was it. Apparently he is no longer with the company.They have been charging my landlord for 7 months and only came back one time. I called to resolve the issue and spoke with the manager. He came out to my house and told me he would do some research into what happened and make it right. This was a Monday and he said he would get back to me by Friday. I never heard from him. I called two Friday's later and canceled the service. I understand that things happen and we somehow slipped though the cracks, however I lost all faith in this business after that. I didn't have a good experience with this company. One of my tenants report me he had seen few maggots in his unit, I called AGPEST. They come and inspect the unit, they said 2 treatments were in need, one outside the perimeter of the house and one inside the unit. That day we agreed on the price for both treatments, with the inside part being done a week later. A week pass by, the day scheduled arrive, I advised my tenant, nobody showed up, nobody called to reschedule. So, I called to see what happened and I reschedule for the second time. Nobody showed up again. Nobody called. Keep in mind I paid in advance for both treatments. The second time I decided that they were no serious and I decided to cancel their service. David has typically been "the guy" that services our account. He is friendly, courteous and is very knowledgeable. He has performed our quarterly service, which is always thorough.
