Agora is a must go for brunches with a ton of people. Their bottomless option has a solid offering of food and drinks. The staff is attentive and they make sure to keep your glasses topped off. I've only been here during brunch so I can only judge their food off of that but from what I had it was great. This is not the place for a huge filling breakfast meal. Their brunch food is mostly breads, spreads, and dips. You can also get eggs benedict and other egg options. I really liked the cherry jam, manchego omelette, kygali eggs benedict and the htipiti. Also loved the greek yogurt parfait. Definitely worthy of a rec! read more

Lovedd! Found this bustling spot while on a work trip in DC. Delicious and so flavorful. I'm very familiar with this cuisine so usually biased but approved. Euro vibes with brick walls, great drinks, and many options ranging from Greece to Turkey. Small portions but shareable. I had the dolma, cauliflower, hummus, sautéed shrimp, loukmates and khadayif - and a perfect whiskey sour. Definitely a great stop for dinner and drinks. read more

Excellent and delicious place of Mediterranean food. We went for dinner and I really got a good surprise because I ate delicious. This place differs from others because it has more traditional Mediterranean food than other places and has unique flavors. The place is pleasant, with a good musical atmosphere and appropriate decoration that matches its culinary concept. I tried the Sampler plate, it brings different delicious spreads. The bread is delicious. I also tried the Kasik salad, it was a Greek salad with feta cheese, tomato, onion and a lot of flavor. The Falafel and Kibbe were pretty good; Also the Bruksel Lahana, these are Brussels sprouts with yogurt, they were pretty good too. My favorite dish, the king of the dishes were the King Prawns, they had a good size, they were perfectly cooked with garlic, olive oil and spices: DELICIOUS. Service was wonderful, our waiter was super helpful, friendly and gave us excellent recommendations It has a good selection of wines and cocktails, I did not taste the desserts, one more reason to return to this place. Highly recommended read more

Agora is one of the best here! I've been to the Agora before. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was very friendly, as always. Our waiter Vedat, who took care of us, supported us very well. He made our special day even more memorable. He made our night feel exceptional with his service and approach. We stated that we were attending a special event while making an appointment. Our table was prepared very carefully, and they welcomed us with champagne. For this, I would like to thank Ms. Melissa for her magical touches. Everything is amazing! Come here, folks!!!! read more

Very good place for a gathering with friends. Everything is family style and meant to be shared. The portion size is not large so you can order a bunch to try. We got the spread sampler to go with the bread. Every spread was delicious, especially the two yogurt-based ones - super tangy and refreshing. The flatbread was amazing, freshly baked with crispy and chew crust and melting cheese. The sausage on top added a nice charred flavor. The yogurt with the Kibbeh had a citrus undertone to cut through the meat. The grilled calamari, however, was the biggest surprise for us. It was SO TENDER and flavorful. Highly recommend. read more

While DC has no shortage of restaurants with bottomless brunch options, it can be a bit of struggle to find one with good food and great service at a decent price. I truly enjoyed my first time dining experience at Agora because they had all three elements that I look for when I partake in the DC brunch scene. The standout dishes for me include the Baba Ganouj spread, greek yogurt parfait, sujuk scrambled eggs, manchego omelette, and the merguez sweet potato hash. The brunch also includes house liquor mixed drinks, mimosas, and coffee and tea. I left the restaurant full, satisfied and happy! I would recommend this spot if you're looking for a brunch option with a different twist when it comes to food offerings. read more

Delicious! I mean wow!! Service... exceptional! We need more places like this in philly for brunch. You cannot beat $40 bottomless brunch. We had reservations as soon as they opened and decided to stay inside because it was too hot outside. The entire table has to participate in the special. You can order any and every single thing on the menu as many times as you want for 2 hours! Every single dish was spectacular. You can pick anything that sounds like it might be good. The drinks were flowing constantly and I couldn't be more happy. I just love that place. If I'm ever in DC I'll be there for brunch again. I highly recommend this place. read more

Yes yes yes. I've never been more impressed with seating service before. Our party of 3 didn't think to book a reservation ahead of time (oops!) (also learn from us and book in advance). We arrived and the restaurant was packed. The host quickly scoped the bar and let us know that three spots were opening up - score! We didn't have to wait very long at all for 3 stools. We ordered an array of foods, trying almost everything on the menu. The mock-tails were delicious and i would highly recommend the chicken!!!! read more

Came here for dinner with my family and was a little disappointed. For the price, I don't it's worth it. I'm giving it 3 stars because we had a lovely time but the food was just okay. Wasn't bad but wasn't good. I've heard they do brunch really well so I hope to be back and experience brunch here as that might change my mind. I just found the food to be very expensive. I wouldn't recommend the flatbread (can't remember the name but it was veggie). The taste is very bland. The table side cheese was delicious and definitely worth ordering. The Künefe was the star!! It is probably one of the most delicious things I've eaten! The cauliflower and mushrooms were both good but again, nothing to write home about. We got to sit on the patio which was very nice. It is heated so don't worry about the winter months as it is kept pretty warm. Our waitress was super sweet and answered all of our questions. Again, my family and I had a wonderful time and I want to try Agora again for brunch but the dinner items just didn't hit the mark for me. read more

Agora is a nice spot for reasonably priced Mediterranean food. The food is about average and warrants 3 stars in itself for that. I got the spread sampler and the pitas that come with it were actually really good. All the other meals, including the lamb, chicken, kofte, mushrooms, and Brussels sprouts were all pretty good. Nothing mind blowing but not bad either. Unfortunately, service was not up to par. When we tried to check in, they tried to sit us down with another party of 7. They also told us our reservation was for a party of 5, even though the confirmation email and text said 7. Expect to flag down waiters/waitresses for water refills. read more

Can't start explaining how good is this place. It was recommended to me by a Turkish colleague, that in on it self is a huge positive sign. However, it was beyond my expectations, the food, service and ambiance were really excellent. The dishes are small (similar to tapas), ideally order 1 or 2 per person, going in group of 4 people will give you the advantage of trying more dishes and more flavors. See pictures attached for some reference, the King Prawns and Spread platter were OMG, outstanding! The service was outstanding, so kind, so caring. We asked many questions for suggestions, they were very patient and helpful. The ambiance was great, the place is not fancy at all (I like that), it is actually very cozy and warm, it makes you feel you are somewhere in the Mediterranean. Totally recommended for both dinner and brunch. Enjoy! read more

Great restaurant and great food! The sampler dish with 6 different dips is really good, all of them were unique and were somehow better than the last! I also really liked the dolmades. Everything was plated beautifully as well, and you can tell that everything they serve is of high quality. If you are thinking about coming here, do it! read more

10/10 bottomless brunch experience. I was visiting a friend in DC and she brought us here. I was honestly blown away. I don't think there was ever a time where my mimosa glass wasn't filled. I kind of lost track of how many I had though so maybe take an Uber or the Metro if you plan on coming here. We all left a little tipsy, but happy!! The food was awesome. It was plentiful and everything was delicious. If you like Mediterranean style, this is the place for you. There were so many fresh dips and plenty of pita to go with it! My favorite was the sausage cheese pastry, I forget the name but wow it was phenomenal. Best part of bottomless brunch is that you can order as many as you want, so that's exactly what I did. Definitely make a reservation if you plan on coming here because it was pretty packed when we went. Totally worth the $40!!! You'll leave full and ready to party. read more

I do not think I've ever left a 5 start review for a restaurant before. I am quite a foodie and am VERY difficult to please to this level. I am particular with every part of a restaurant experience - service, ambiance, rate of drink & food service, quality of meals, the simplicity of preparation, etc. Portions were the perfect size. Not too big, not too small. The quality of the meats were incredible. The kitchen staff turned out dishes at a perfect rate. It was probably the best octopus I've ever had - it is easy to overcook octopus and make it rubbery. The tenderness and flavor was impeccable. The staff was friendly and prompt. I will DEFINITELY return and always recommend guests. I could go on and on and on... :) read more

I placed 3 orders of rack of lamb because they only come with 2 in each and you never know if they're gonna be those cute little ones or them big boy joints. These are big and thick, which makes them nearly impossible to not be at least a tiny big gamey and they were but yummy still. They came with broccolini that I'm sure is great eating in but the steam from the travel killed them. Dead on arrival, moment of silence. All in all good enough and well priced. The reason for this review is because I also ordered (stop judging me) the branzino and baaaay-beeee whooooo. Best branzino I've ever had. If anything the travel made it stay juicy. It tasted like grilled and charred lemon, zesty and so tender and next time I'm ordering three of themz. Delivery was quick and efficient (raise your hand if someone had delivered to you during this effdemic and not even let you know your food was in the lobby...). I'm sure I'll try something else eventually but no time soon. I'm hooked on that fish lord help me. read more

Food was tremendous, service was awesome. Our server was very attentive and made our first time at Agora fun.

Okay this place is my favorite brunch spot in all of DC. Unlimited food and unlimited drinks for $40? Incredible. But just because the price is good, it doesn't mean anything suffers in quality. The food is amazing. It's one of the few drink spots that lets you have any liquor, not just mimosas and bloody marys. And the service is always on point! I've been here twice already. One with a large group and one with just 3 people and it's always been super great. The one recommendation I have is that they should cut reservations off at 2 or even earlier if they have a hard stop at 3:45 for food. read more

Ambience: We sat outside on a warm, early Fall evening. The patio atmosphere was elegant and noise levels were low enough to make conversation easy. While I went with two friends, this could be a great date spot. I did not go inside so I can't attest to the ambience in there. Service: Our server was cordial, but nothing to write home about. He didn't go out of his way to make suggestions when we mentioned it was our first time dining at the restaurant. Average service, but no real complaints. Although the menu and paying system are done online after scanning a QR code, you actually still order with a server. I found this a bit odd, because most places that have implemented pay on your phone systems, have you order online as well. Splitting the bill online was simple and painless though. Food: Skip the calamari and try the grilled octopus instead - this was an instant winner at our table. The "warm goat cheese" came out piping hot, so watch your tongue, and maybe let it cool for a bit. My friends loved it, however I found it to be good but not great. The falafel was the smallest portion of falafel I've ever seen - three tiny balls of Falafel, which is disappointing given how cheap the ingredients for that are - I get that these are small plates/tapas but I did feel cheated. What they lacked in size they made up for in flavor and texture though - light and moist, these were among the best falafel I've had. I just wish there was more. The Ottoman rice was flavorful and paired great with the Kibbeh dumplings (texture wise these are nothing like what you'd imagine for a dumpling, but this was one of my favorite dishes) Drinks: The purple kelebek lavender drink was gorgeous, garnishes with small flowers, and had a fresh taste. The poros rum punch was a great, sweet mango flavored drink, perfect those who don't necessarily like the taste of liquor - I could have downed several of these with ease. Overall, I would definitely come back for the delicious variety of options and the great patio atmosphere, but the service could be a bit better and the portion size for something like the falafel improved. read more

Brunch at Agora was WONDERFUL! The service was some of the best I've seen in DC. Another day, another bottomless brunch! Agora is a staple in the bottomless brunch business. Bottomless drinks and bottomless food for $48. I visited with a couple friends. In contrast to other reviews, our service was attentive and quick. The food quality is the component preventing a 5 star review. The initial starters/dips provided were delicious (shout out to the htipiti and labneh), but I was disappointed with the egg dishes. The eggs in the benedicts were over cooked, and the omelettes were under seasoned. Overall, great deal for $48. read more

The brunch here is crazy! This is such a cute restaurant in DC that has the option for bottomless brunch (food & drinks!) on the weekend. The drinks include mimosas and bloody Marys and also juices and coffees for people who don't want to drink alcohol. The staff is super prompt about refilling glasses and checking on the tables. The bottomless food comes in waves. First, you get all the spreads and cheeses with endless pita. Then come the flatbreads. Then comes each person's choice of an egg dish, which is followed by dessert (yogurt & French toast). All the food was fabulous & I would recommend coming here when you are super hungry. The price tag compared to what you get is remarkable. read more

Four of us for dinner. Leaving a 3. The cocktails were good, the mock tail was good and reasonably priced at $7. We order a variety of dishes. The bread is always great. The cauliflower delivered on flavor. Octopus was not great-decided never to order octopus unless I'm in Greece. The lamb kabob and patties were non descript and lacked seasoning. The scallops were delightful after they remade them-round one was a bit on the raw side. The biggest issue I had with our dinner tonight was the lack of service. The waitress was absent and never cleared a plate. Our table was over run with dirty empty plates. I really loved the atmosphere of Agora. The food was mediocre. The service was lousy. read more

This place is one of the popular places to eat. I'm here at the 4th of July weekend and it's BOOKED! The bar offers full menu. The host let me down gently and gladly offered bar seating. I was slightly disappointed that the eggs Benedict wasn't a Turkish rendition...nevertheless the bartender explained that the spreads, Menemen, and Baklava French Toast were Turkish. I ordered the latter two. The Menemen is absolutely delicious. It's poached eggs in a tomato and green pepper soupy sauce. It felt warm and comfortable comforting especially as you dip and scoop up sauce with the bread. Next was the French toast. It too was delicious but the Menemen was my winner. I will recreate this dish at home. I always like to see if folks of the same ethnicity as the restaurant's food actually eat at the restaurant. I might be off but I tend to think it means the food is authentic and not Americanized. I saw what I assume a Turkish family come in to eat. Authentic? ‍ read more

Me and my partner decided to visit DC for a few days and this place caught our attention. We are both from Middle East and Eastern Europe and have been looking for similar food to eat, and this happened to be one of our best experiences we've had so far! We got pita bread, suxuk flatbread, cecik, grilled chicken, turkish tea, lamb kebab, and chestnut souflee. You will not regret this, we are currently in a food coma. I also have to say the service was great (Jack, our server) was very precise, friendly, good recommendations and fast service. Definitely coming back, whenever we're in DC. read more

I ate there on Saturday and I have no real complaints. We started our meal with the Hatipiti and it was delicious. The feta was mild, the peppers were delicious, and the bread was warm and fresh. My boyfriend ordered the lamb riblets and I ordered the grilled chicken but we split each entree with one another. The lamb didn't even taste like lamb; it tasted like steak. Now I love both lamb and steak so I loved these. Melted in my mouth. Beautiful! The grilled chicken though--that was an out of this world experience. It was delicious on its own, but with the addition of the garlic yogurt on the side--WOW. It was astonishing. The garlic pita bread it was served on was also beautiful. After the other courses were so delicious we decided to try the Baklava and that was also perfect. It was unbelievably good. Everything about this place was delicious. The atmosphere was fun. The music wasn't so loud that we couldn't talk but it also wasn't so quiet that it felt weird. Our server was attentive and kind. Not a bad thing to say about any entree-- generous portion sizes for what you pay for. My boyfriend and I are so excited to come back. I'd say you all should go too but I don't want it to get too busy! Truly this is my new favorite restaurant. So that you know this is real: if I had to say one thing it would be that our table wobbled. But when the food is that good you won't even notice. read more

The sampler mezzo was amazing. The Adana was also really great. One of my fav places in dc!

I really don't write reviews unless I feel it's necessary. Perhaps it's on me that we got a bunch of mezzes and expected to be filled. But we spent $140 on food for 2 people. We were still hungry after. The actual rating I would give is more like a 3 because the food wasn't bad but this place is so highly rated that I felt I was tricked. Also they didn't give us enough bread for take out. I ended up making my own rice to finish the rest of the mezze sampler. I highly recommend Rumi's if you want good food for a much better price. I hate tapas culture. It ruins restaurants in DC. read more
