Was largely unimpressed by the food here. Visually everything was pretty good, but overall, lacking basic seasoning. If you had a bite with the sauce, then you were good, but otherwise, definitely missing salt. Given the price tag and how long this place has been open, I would have expected more flavor wise than what we got. Service was good, I liked that multiple waiters checked in on us, especially to see if I liked their new drink (the Forest Hills). The food came out quickly too, which was nice since we had to make a train. read more

Came here on a Monday night for dinner. The food was decent and the service was bearable. At the end of the meal they added a automatic 18% gratuity to my bill for a party of 3. I've been dining for so many years and this was my first time being charged automatically for gratuity for a party less than 5. I know typically parties 5 and more have gratuity billed in. This place gave me bad vibes the moment I stepped in. Appears as if they judged us thinking that we won't tip so they added tip automatically. Tip should be earned and not forcefully charged. They are dishonest and unprofessional. BEWARE and check your bill if they add gratuity automatically because they will make you sign another receipt to add additional gratuity. Never coming here again. read more

I loved this place during the Pandemic when restaurants were vying for customers by providing excellent service and delicious food. Now that the world is open, AGED must have closed its doors to quality. We arrived at 3pm FOR BRUNCH on a Saturday and weren't offered a brunch menu even though brunch doesn't end until 3:30pm. We ordered lunch but then saw other tables getting brunch. We really wanted brunch but had already ordered lunch. I ordered the French Onion Soup and it was ice cold. I had to send it back and can almost guarantee it was microwaved instead of being remade. I don't remember what else we had because I couldn't stop looking at the waiter's dirty pants and unbuttoned shirt that wasn't tucked in. We didn't even know he was our waiter because he was sitting down eating and then simply got up and taking our order. No handwashing or anything! I'll never go back. read more

I used to come here all the time it's been a while. They used to have bottomless mimosas but now that has changed the way you did not explain to us that only the first drink was free. You have to pay $25 more on top of the $25 Special. The place was empty and the food wasn't that great. The service was bad. I was very embarrassed taking my sister to this place assuming we were going to have bottomless Mim because that's what I was told over the phone. The menu seems quite confusing. read more

First the entrance to this place is a little wonky lol but inside it's very nice. I love the flower arrangement on the ceiling. The food was delicious. I ordered pickup. This was the call : Me : hi can i put in an order to go pick up Her: sure can i have your card number Me: .............i didnt even order yet .... Her: yeah but i need your card number Me: um okay (in my mind im like okay maybe they get scammed a lot idk) *proceeds to give number* She took my order , didnt ask for my name or telephone number. So thats one thing, when I went to pick up, shes like " you didnt give me your name" . Yes sherlock, thats because you were so concerned with asking me for my card number first. I ordered : Lobster Pasta (29.00) (expensive af) , crab cake (1 for 21.00) lmao what ??? & a lava cake. The lobster pasta looks beautiful and creamy so Im like damn. This is gonna be popping. My gf and I bit in and there was zero taste. Im like, DO I HAVE COVID, cuz i cant taste SH**. How is this meal so creamy and delicious looking but literally zero taste -_- . It literally tasted like NOTHING and there were like 5 small mini pieces of lobster . I ate it because who is gonna waste $29.00. Next the crab cake, the entire thing was burned so all i tasted was a bitter char. The aioli was good and the inside (non burnt part) was good, but okay here are two bad things now. I havent even tasted the dessert because Im pissed at how bad this meal was that I had to review this first. Not worth the money, definitely an overpriced place with mediocre food. I genuinely wonder how this place gets 5 star reviews, but, lesson learned for not reading the reviews first. You will notice many people complain about the lack of seasoning and bland, zero flavor. Some people who claim their food was seasoned well, um, we already know who they are. If you crave tasty, well seasoned food , this ain't IT. There's no flavor. Zip. Zero. Do y'all need salt? I will bring you some. Thank you for coming to my ted talk. read more

The employees were fairly nice. The price was reasonable which is probably why the food wasn't great. Off of the brunch menu, I ordered a medium rare steak with over easy eggs -that came with a side of potatoes, a salad, and a mimosa. For $30, that's a steal! Unfortunately, my steak came medium well but the eggs and potatoes were perfect. They took my plate to redo my order and the steak came back perfect however, my eggs came sunny side up and with mushy potatoes. I decided to just eat the steak and the salad. On the first bite, I could tell that the greens were unwashed and simply dressed. I should've gone with my gut because I got a gritty feeling in my mouth...a clump of dirt. I'm absolutely disgusted. Turns out, the $30 dollars was a steal- from me! A complete waste of my money. read more

Yesterday me and my wife went to this particular restaurant for her birthday. We waited for a little while before we were served .That wasn't really a big deal. But when our order finally came the food was mixed up. my wife ordered a medium rare steak and sauteed spinach. And I ordered a well done cheese burger with French fries,My wife ordered was messed up. The waiter brought my wife a well done steak and creamy spinach. Which she didn't ask for ,the only thing that she ordered that they got right was the mashed potatoes. But I told the waiter to change the steak, and the spinach. And he did ,with no problem. When you pay $58.00 for a steak ,it should be a steak that's melts in your mouth. Not something so tuff that you can barely chew it. But the waiter and the manager brought my wife a really good steak the second time, they rectified the situation. The rest of the night, went really well, they sang happy birthday to my wife ,brought her out a piece of cake with a candle. So out side of the the food debacle. We enjoyed our selves, the patrons were really nice , and the manager showed concerned.next time I would give more stars, but when you spend about $130.00 on a meal for 2 you are looking for the best of everything without any slip ups. read more

I went there with a large party with family invited by my good friend who picked up the tab. Overpriced especially with the added 20% for large table for 13 people on top of 18% tip. Ahi tuna was overcooked and very dry. Clam chowder was watery. Service was not equal to 18% which I know is included for large parties but not worth the 18% plus the added 20% for the large party was a ripoff for 38% tip,,,not worth 38% standard. It was our first time trying out this restaurant and the food wasn't bad but the service was. First of all, we were ordering from their $36 dollar prefixed dinner menu. The server gave us her recommendations and said the mashed potatoes was included with our steaks and any side dishes we wanted would be extra, which we were fine with. But then the mash potatoes never came out with our steaks and our server blamed it on the kitchen for forgetting. But when we saw the bill, we were each added $5s for the mash potatoes. So that pissed me off on the spot. I feel like she hustled us but we decided to not let that ruin our night and make a big deal out of it. Secondly, they werent attentive at all, I had to ask 4 times during our dinning experience to refill water. The entree took forever to show up after the appetizer, like about 30minutes and they weren't even busy. And they didnt even give us steak knifes until we asked for it. Thirdly, when I asked for the check to be split on what the two of us had ordered, since one bill is slightly more than the other; she refused because it was easier for her to divide it into two from the total. Lastly, I just checked my credit card statement online and realized she alternated the tip amount I wrote, to a higher amount and now I have to contact my credit card company to dispute it. I wanted to come back for brunch and give them the benefit of the doubt on service, in case it was an isolated incidence. But oh my god!! Stay away, a meal isn't worth all this !! I read more

Mediocre at best, thoroughly unimpressed. Had the cowboy ribeye and it definitely wasn't dry aged, tasted like a ribeye I'd pick up from the supermarket. I ordered medium rare and it came slightly pink. Stuffed clams were tiny. Calamari was good but breading kept falling off. Perfect spot for a hearty meal and great flavor, we ordered the whole branzino, which had good side salad to pair with. The short rib on a bed of mash potat which had great flavor but also reminded me of korean flavors probably better paired with rice instead. Also the octopus and calamari which were a bit salty but still great. Overall service was amazing every waiter/waitress was attentive and nice. It turns out the restaurant had a mix up with credit card charges at my table. When my cousin called to have her charges corrected, the manager Asif told her that my review is a "lie", and we didn't have bad service or quality of food. He's very fortunate he spoke to her and she's a quiet person because if this manager tried to bully me this way, he would've heard from the cops for harassment. You had a table of 8 people who ALL said it was bad, yet your first instinct is to say my review is a lie and bully me even though your restaurant now made ANOTHER mistake of mischarging the cards. The manager then stalked me down to FB and waved at me. So we have bad service and instead of messaging me like a normal business owner, this guy stalks me down because he wasn't happy with my group's unanimous feedback. Pretty sure this isn't normal restaurant business behavior. Get off your high horse and do your job right. read more

I had an unfortunate dining experience at this restaurant tonight. This restaurant is usually our favorite. But after tonight, I am not sure. Let me explained what happened: I ordered the 26 dollars cheese ravioli and eplicitly requested tomato sauce twice, yet it was served with cheese sauce. Who can eat four cheese ravioli with cheese sauce on top of it? even my toddler split it out immediately. To make matters worse, an automatic 18% tip was added to our bill. I don't mind paying a good tip if the service is good and we like the waiter/waitress. But unfortunately we don't like the service provided by our waitress since she didn't get our order correct. We also have to repeat ourselves two or three times to her every time we order something. And when she is not able to get it right, she said she only works here once a week. Well, does it matter if you works here once a week or once a year? if you are good, you will get it right. Please don't give yourself excuses. I would recommend the manger to hire more experienced staff to maintain customer satisfaction. As it stands, we are uncertain if we will return in the near future. read more

I had been there before, a long time ago with my mom (pre-COVID), for the brunch and wasn't impressed. The place had been TOO crowded, smelled dank and guests tables literally stuck together in a way that was really very uncomfortable and not conducive to family brunch. Having said this, I went very recently for the lunch special with another family member and the food was amazing. It looks like a few things were changed up since the pandemic and everything was really clean and smelled fresh, which was nice. The team is friendly. The coffee is pretty good as well. Although we were only a party of two and there weren't any other guests seated yet, it did take quite a bit of time to get our burgers, but otherwise the experience was pretty nice. We decided to go out on Valentine's Day (on a Friday) night so we knew what we were getting into. Reservations at 6 we got in and sat. if you could relate to what the inside of Noah's Ark looked like, it was last night. Way too many people crammed in. I was constantly being bumped into and watched like a hawk from the reservations waiting (that's how close they were) when we ate because they were made to wait in a small alcove and a "lane" for people to wait by the door. It was awful. 15 min for them to acknowledge us at the table then 25 min for a drink. Was not properly staffed for the amount of people there it took 40 min for food after the drink. People were getting up to look for their waiters. We had the Truffle Mac n cheese appetizer, it was velveeta heated up. My husband had the fish I had the steak, Nothing worth writing home about. Wasn't even asked about a dessert. They threw the check on the table and said thank you. As I looked over the manager said " oh these tables are opening up" to the watchers standing there . I saw my waiter three times, once to bring the drink and then to drop the food and then throw the check on the table. Lesson learned : 1) Do not go here again on a Holiday. Cute restaurant for lunch and dinner! They had a bunch of seating available, and they were very diligent about providing shade for their tables the day we went and it was over 90°F Food was pretty good - ordered the buratta salad (must have) and the salmon sliders. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye - seasoned well but overcooked like other reviews had said. DONT GO IN. Had never looked forward to grade any place as with this. The place looks good, the service is good. Almost every server came by the table to make sure all was great. They have great Jazz musicians playing wich was what called our attention to get int he place. But one goes to a reataurant for the food first. The food here is horrible, terrible, I was just about to walk out. 1.Lemonade is the worst sythetic disgusting thing I've ever tasted. 2.The bread they put ont he table is old, hard and smelly. Not the place to spend money on a steak. Came here with my family , and my wife wanted to share the tomahawk($145) with me . The steak comes with mashed potatoes and fries as sides, with 3 dipping sauces . We always order medium rare. The steak arrived to the table medium well, some cuts were even on the verge of well. Normally I'm not picky but for that price I didn't want to eat what we didn't order . The waitress saw I was unhappy and offered to replace the steak with a new one. The replacement arrived about 10 minutes later , and it was cold in the middle( actually somewhat raw) and charred on the outside . To be kind we ate this one and decided it was better than well done . To boot, there is no chance it was a 2lb steak as advertised , and no, the weight wasn't in the hollow bone. Not so sure about the other food items besides my daughters chicken tenders ( which the waitress told us were going to be nuggets) so I can't really say. I would never return here to eat again, certainly not a steak anyway. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the waitress was quick in her attempt to make things right . read more

Very limited menu. Food needed a bit more seasoning. Ambiance was very nice. Service could have been a bit better

I came in today with a few friends to eat. They had seated us right away, we had a table of seven. We have a nice blonde waitress who asked if we had any questions about the menu. The place was very beautiful and had pretty decor. I just was not impressed. The food was very expensive and not with, this is my opinion and the opinion's of the friends I was with as well. Half of the burger orders were wrong. There was bacon on the wrong burgers and we were told the onions on the burgers were fried. I feel that we should get what we pay for especially since we are paying the high prices we did. The bill came to $325 (one shrimp salad, avocado salad, burger sliders, four burgers and a bowl of pasta). It was definitely would not be somewhere I would go back to. I mean they wanted $145 for a steak for two, I could go to Morton's steakhouse for that. Sorry not sorry, the prices were outrageous and the food not worth the price. read more

I recently ordered thru Seamless for their food. I actually ate there years ago when it first opened but it has been a long time between visits, and even still I didn't actually go. From what I remember, it's right off of Austin St and 71st Ave, a block before depending on which way you are coming from. I like to call that block restaurant row as there are nothing but restaurants. There's outdoor seating when appropriate weather allows it. That's what I remember. The food both times, is delicious. I had the steak and i thought the portions were a little small but other than that it was still warm and cooked pretty close to perfection. I will have to visit again soon. This was my first visit to Aged in Forest Hills. The first thing I noted was the COVID protocols were loosely followed with no distancing or contact tracing. However maks for staff were worn. The indoor and outdoor areas were crowded and on top of each other - a little noisy. The food was decent, some good but nothing stood out. The staff seemed to have tried to be very attentive, but may have been overwhelmed by the number of tables they each had or perhaps by limited numbers of them. The prices are reasonable. Don't go here. The meat was not good. We had the filet mignon and the NY Strip stake w mashed potatoes, truffle fries and Mac and cheese. The fries were too oily. The only salvageable thing was the Mac and cheese. There were also only 3 brain cells working and we had to ask for our drinks, ask for water, and ask for the complementary bread and the restaurant wasn't even busy for them to have an excuse to literally not bring anything. 0/10 if i could. I was first at Aged as part of a Yelp Elite event. The drinks were plentiful and the food was good, so when we were invited to dine here I jumped at the chance. The restaurant is a beautiful space dark wood and a spacious bar, like a steak house should look. We all ordered from the price fix menu. Unfortunately the steak I had this night was not up to par. It was tough for my liking. They also do not offer a choice of side dishes just mashed potatoes. No substitutions so if you wanted a veggie you had to pay extra. Our host had the salmon which did not come with a side so she ordered the asparagus. The house salad was OK as was the sorbet for dessert. Like most steak houses this place is pricey. I probably will not return as there are other steak houses that I like (read my reviews) who serve a better cut of meat. Your results may differ. read more

I live in the neighborhood and love the restaurants in forest hills, so yesterday a friend and i decided to try aged. I was very disappointed. We sat down there was no one in the restaurant at the time we were the only two customers. It took about 15 minutes to bring us water. Then we ordered a bottle of wine, the only cab they had on the menu, and she didn't know what it was. That took another 15 minutes. A new table comes in and they're set up immediately with water and bread. We had already ordered our food but we hadn't gotten any bread or even our wine (half an hour into our service) then our appetizers and our food came out at the same time and that's when our server asked us if we wanted bread. Food was mediocre at best. We ordered crab cake and burrata appetizers, i had the short rib ravioli and my friend had the shrimp pesto pasta. Crab cake appetizer was good. Burrata was ok, however we couldn't really enjoy the apps as they were brought out with the entrees so we were trying to focus on our meals. The entrees were bad. I didn't like mine, it was basically Al dente ravioli-- Barry any short rib filling. Also server asked us if we wanted parmigiana after our meals were almost finished. Service was absolutely horrible. No wonder the place was empty. Just do not go here. read more

Literally the worst burger I've ever had!! My lady and I were in the area, aiming to go to a place nearby, we saw aged brunch menu and thought it was decent enough to give it a try. Terrible decision! We just ordered food, she had the steak and eggs, I had the aged burger and we shared mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were fine, besides the last one being practically hollow. Her steak and eggs was literally eggs, toast, home fries and like 6 little pieces of steak...steak was cooked well..but it was still sad. The aged burger...smh. I ordered it medium, it was literally raw in the middle. Bright pink, the type you feel if you continued to eat you would get sick. I sent it back, I should have just told them take it off the bill. But I sent it back, it came back cooked better, but the cook fried it with the egg on top..it was so dry I literally took a couple bites and was over it! Apparently their dinner is better, but whatever. Steakhouse, bar and grill..end of the day, you should know how to cook a burger. Not even a McDonald's burger could have been worse than this. Also, $18.95 fixed price is a bit pricey for some of their brunch menu selections. Especially for waffles. Their $10 one hour unlimited drinks brunch option isn't a bad deal. read more

I have been coming to Aged for over 5 years. My husband and i had our first date here so you know its quite special to me. Ive been around for a few management changes and the new management is quite good. The servers are okay but i think they can improve on that. Our last server asked my friend how she wanted her eggs cooked when she ordered an omelet. She was so frustrated and went to get the manager to clarify. Simple things like that are quite concerning. Despite the misunderstanding, the omelet was perfect! I ordered an eggs benedict! It was excellent. It had the right amount of seasoning in the hollandaise sauce. My eggs were perfectly runny. The English muffin was lightly toasted as i had requested. To be honest, there isnt much i can say to describe how delicious this meal was. We also got the unlimited mimosas for an additional $10. They used to have it for 3 hours but its now 2. The mimosas were good and our server was very attentive monitoring our glasses so I'd say i had a good number of them before we headed out My go to order is usually the steak and eggs. I ordered the steak and eggs about a month ago. Steak was cooked exactly how i had requested it. It was very tender and juicy which is how i like my steaks. I had a side if home fries to accompany my steak. They were good too! Over the years the decor has changed. I love the ambiance and rustic feel that the restaurant carries. This place is perfect for a date or brunch with the girls. They usually have top 40 music playing in the background but it isnt too loud so you can actually hear each other. Aged is one of my fave restaurants and i always look forward to coming here! read more
