    Brunch - steak and eggs
    Essie L.

Had not been here for a long time as the food quality deteriorated over the years, but read a positive review about the food quality improving so we thought we'd give it a shot. The brunch offerings are good and well priced. The "sets" including drinks are of course no longer offered, but cocktails and even bottomless are very well priced ($10 cocktails, $20 bottomless for 90 minutes), you don't get this kind of deal in the city. Brunch dishes are all $25, and all the food we got was great quality and nicely presented. Service was good and friendly. They also offer $20 lunch specials on weekdays now.

Had a great experience here recently. Service was attentive, kind, and professional. The margarita was well made but we got a terrible headache the next day because of it (We're so positive it was because of the mix they used). The food was delicious! No complaints regarding the food. While there are a few negative reviews, it's worth giving this place a try and deciding yourself.

Delicious food, mushroom appetizer with goat cheese and burrata was really good & recommend the shrimp too! I enjoyed the salmon and burger & tomato pasta was good but I preferred appetizers more. Pretty pricey, it was a nice open space with friendly service.

Don't let the bad reviews scare you, I'm actually surprised by them. Stopped by today and sat outside, and decided to try their $20 lunch special. I got the Greek salad and the burger, along with their Rose Mule drink. My waiter was very kind and attentive, and promptly brought me water. The salad was refreshing, with tomatoes, cucumbers and a nice chunk of feta cheese. The burger? Outstanding. It was a juicy, delicious bite, with all the fixings and perfectly fried potatoes on the side. My drink was perfectly balanced, and just what I needed on this beautiful day. Thank you for a great experience!

So there is big sign that says outside Mon- Friday 11am - 4pm 2 courses $20 Walk in 3.38 pm I am told , lunch special is up to 330pm This area has such a dearth of decent restaurants on top of having to tolerate mediocre food for the most part - on top of it false advertising

Had a terrible experience here. Food arrived cold, and I just kept quiet. Then as I ate it I realized there was what looked like a fly in it. Cooked. I asked to speak to the owner who seemed annoyed at me. At first telling me it was a pepper ball. As far as i know pepper balls don't have wings. Apparently it has a bunch of sanitary violations found by NYC food inspectors. I should have known not to go into this place after seeing their Elon-musk loving official car outside. And in an immigrant neighborhood.

Walked in on the humble to grab a little dinner. Service was good, server was attentive throughout. Sometimes even coming over to check on me without saying anything once he saw I good. Ambiance was pretty dope, inside felt like a saloon. The decor was all wooden and the bar looked like something out of an old western movie with a modern tweak. Food was above average but lacked that flavorful punch. Think old steakhouse vs modern steakhouse. All in all the place is pretty solid.

My most recent experience here was better than the last one. Me and a friend came here for dinner and were seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive and our food and drinks were served in a timely fashion thankfully cause I was starving!! Lol More importantly, our food was delicious. My entire entree was savory, especially the wild salmon, it was very enjoyable and well cooked per my request! The burrata salad was good but could've used a bit more olive oil and pesto sauce, however, the cucumber addition was creative and made up for the lack there of. I've never had a burrata salad with cucumbers, most places make it with arugula, but cucumbers were just as good. My friend enjoyed his Aged sliders, oh and my Casamigos margarita was perfect! Kudos to the bartender. Had a good time!

Very good service, definitely recommend this restaurant food great, service amazing and very knowledgeable, 5 stars! The ambiance is amazing here very nice place and aesthetic.

I got steak pasta and it was awful just like in the picture, yes you can't judge by the cover but trust me it was awful! I requested medium rare for the steak but was medium well kinda chewy and cold meat. For the sauce, taste straight from ragu or whatever pasta sauce the supermarket sells. Definitely not worth $29! Ironically I had to put Tabasco sauce and it tasted better with it! LOL! For the burger, what do you expect lol just like any other burger! Not worth $25! Heck no! I came on a hot & humid day in summer, they don't have the AC on(either it's broken or they don't have it at all who knows), they only have that big machine blowing air. Help a bit but I'm still sticky from the humidity. Wasn't comfortable at all when you tried to eat. 18% gratuity added automatically to your check. I find it not good, how about if they don't deserve all 18%?!?

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

We tried to make reservations for 6:30pm, but it gave us an error message that the time had been taken already, so I was assuming that the restaurant would be packed, but it was the opposite when we walked in. There were only two other people there. So I would definitely look into their reservations system. For drinks, I went for the mango margarita. 10/10 recommend the drinks. My margarita was delicious. their cocktail menu looks super fun, they have drinks that come out in little bathtubs and cute presentations. For food, we shared the ahi tuna tostada appetizer which was so good! super fresh and flavorful. For our mains, I got the chicken al pastor tacos (loved the flavors, especially the avocado crema) and he ordered the carne asada tacos, which were also packed with flavor. Portion-wise, for the price, you get three tacos, so it felt very reasonable. The tacos were definitely a hit for both of us. The only small downside was the service towards the end. everything started out great, but once we were done, it took a while to actually get the check and pay. Kinda funny how it took longer to leave than it did to get served. Not a huge deal, but just something to keep in mind if you're on a schedule..they definitely don't rush you out. Overall great vibes, great food, great drinks. I would absolutely come back!

I hate to bring down a mom 'n' pop shop, but this place isn't very good. It's also kinda pricey for Forest Hills and for the quality you get. Sigh. The best dishes we got were the Oxtail Croquettes and the Crispy Salmon. Things started going downhill at the pretty but bizarrely flavored Forest Hills Roll, which inexplicably pairs salmon, tobiko, orange, chives, avocado sauce, and teriyaki mayo. I appreciate a creative/fusion roll, but salmon and orange should never, ever exist on the same plate. Ever. The worst item we got was the Chicken Udon. I'm not sure how aany Asian restaurant could mess up such a staple dish, but in Daikon's case, it's because they used Japanese SOUP udon, not stir-fry udon. As soon as the plate was set, I could tell it was the wrong type of udon, and the udon was massively overcooked. Yes, there are different types of udon and they are meant to be cooked in different ways. They are identifiable by their shapes, storage needs and preparation needs, a memo Daikon clearly missed. Points for loading the dish with veggies, but eating them within the soggy mess of udon was just unpleasant.
