The coctails were very affordable, and the bloody Mary grew on me the more I drank. The food: the steak was good, although I asked for it medium rare, and got it medium well.. it was still good. It came with a small nicely dressed salad, home fries and 2 eggs. I asked for the eggs sunny side up and they were not sunny, they were quite cloudy. The French toast was not toast at all, it was more like pound cake sliced up and grilled. It was delicious, just not French toast. The service was efficient. They have 2 prefix menus and we choose the $45 one, for appetiser I got the tuna tratare which was really good, you can feel it was fresh, as second course I got the salmon and my friend the burger, not just that we got tiramisu as dessert, we were impress about the amount of food we got for $45. Recently stopped by for brunch on a hot spring day in NYC. The AC was not on, so it was quite warm in the restaurant unfortunately. Thankfully their iced cappuccino cooled me down. The brunch offerings are good and well priced. The "sets" including drinks are of course no longer offered, but cocktails and even bottomless are very well priced ($10 cocktails, $20 bottomless for 90 minutes), you don't get this kind of deal in the city. Don't let the bad reviews scare you, I'm actually surprised by them. Stopped by today and sat outside, and decided to try their $20 lunch special. I got the Greek salad and the burger, along with their Rose Mule drink. My waiter was very kind and attentive, and promptly brought me water. The salad was refreshing, with tomatoes, cucumbers and a nice chunk of feta cheese. The burger? Outstanding. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and the food was good and the service in general was nice. However, we were a group of 4 and the tip was pre-added, and that was not nice. Especially because for good service we always leave minimum 20%. Additionally, they add a credit card surcharge. Additionally, they brought us an item we did NOT order and sent it back. Then the waiter brought it back and said we "can have it" while he brings the correct order. Yet, he charged us for it!!? We were also there celebrating a birthday and a complimentary dessert was not brought out for the birthday person. From the beginning of my experience at the restaurant to the end, we tried to keep positive about the experience. We were given olive oil (not extra virgin) and 3 pieces of poorly cut, burnt toast. Then we asked for better bread and they gave us 3 more pieces, some toasted and some not. The $59 Ribeye was not of quality, nor was the $55 Fillet Mignon. The knives they provided barely cut the medium steaks, and we even had the knives replaced, but they were still bad. The asparagus was not great, but probably the better part of the meal, and the mashed potatoes with the Fillet were terrible. I paid the bill of $181.68 plus a cash tip. I read the reviews and still went because it was a family members birthday. This is where she wanted to go. The food is fine. Nothing wonderful or great. The service leaves a lot to be desired. When it was mentioned the food server shrugged and we requested the manager come over. He had it replaced relatively quickly and it was a lot better. We sat and ate.
