This was a great find! The food was amazing. Service was great treated us like old friends. And the place speaks for itself, classic dinner vibes. Will be driving out to eat there again.

We love this diner. It's the classic Massachusetts diner experience -- great service, comfort food, tight cozy spaces, solid coffee, and prices that won't hurt your wallet. The menu is massive, offering all-day breakfast, sandwiches, diner plates, and don't forget about the pies (so. MANY. PIES). The place is small, so be prepared to wait on weekends, but it's totally worth it. Portions are huge, so you'll definitely leave full. The food is solid, though I'd recommend sticking to the regular menu instead of the specials. I tried the fried chicken platter from the specials, and it was a bit bland. The mac & cheese was excellent. Oh, and heads up -- it's cash only! But there's an ATM right next door.

driving by here and stopped in for the nostalgia. originally i intended on ordering a burger, and i was surprised they serve breakfast all day! i ordered two humongous blueberry pancakes with coffee, my friend ordered the veggie omelette with wheat toast and hash browns, and took a slice of banana crème pie to go. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES + REAL SYRUP 10/10 VEGGIE OMELETTE 8/10 BANANA CRÈME PIE 10/10 came for the nostalgia and left extremely satisfied with the old school diner feel, the quality of food and service! missed the servers name, a lovely blonde woman who was very accommodating. ambiance: 5/5 food: 4.7/5 service: 5/5 agawam diner: 5/5

An iconic classic, all-American diner in the North Shore. If you're looking for some down to Earth, classic Americana food, I would recommend coming here. The pancakes were fluffy, and just right. The Vermont maple syrup was the perfect pairing. The service was wonderful, our coffee cups didn't stop flowing. The eggs and toast were also just right.

This place is so cool to me. We love diners and diner food. They serve breakfast all day. Today, we both had club sandwiches that came with the best fries! I had a turkey club and my husband had a tuna club. They are also known for their desserts, so I had to try one.... Chocolate cake roll. Omg, it was so good, I ate the whole thing! We come here anytime we come up this way. They are good and their prices are very reasonable.

Delish potato salad and chopped ham sandwich!

When you walk in, the place is beautiful- sort of modern rustic chic with beautiful string lights. We ordered mussels and wine to start. Mussels were fantastic. Meaty, flavorful and plenty for everyone. The entree is where it fell short for me. I got the shrimp pasta. While the flavor was there, when I cut into the shrimp they still looked pretty translucent to me. After eating one and cutting up a few others, I felt that they were undercooked. The waitress said they wouldn't cook them more but she could bring the plate back and ask if they were cooked through. My plate came back and I was told they were cook so I sat there pushing soft, nasty shrimp around my plate while just eating spaghetti. My boyfriend asked for a medium burger and it was definitely rare to medium rare. When this happens, generally you offer to bring out new protein cooked again or ask if the guest wants something else but I was just left to feel like I was nuts. Whatever, into dessert. Now for dessert, I thought we'd try the cookies and ice cream. cookies were completely raw ( not just soft) and also not hot and the ice cream on the plate looked like it was pre scooped and refrozen. While I loved the concept of this place. Relaxing getaway where you can just do it all onsite, I honestly would spare yourselves the experience of the restaurant or order fish and chips or fried chicken) and just dine in Newburyport.

Although it wasn't busy, we waited quite a while even for beverages. When the waitress eventually took our orders, I asked for a cheese burger club sandwich, medium rare, add onions. My husband got a chicken parm sub. When we finally got our lunches, she served mine with no French fries, which I eventually received a few moments later. The burger on my club sandwich was so overcooked it was like a piece of shoe leather. There were no onions, and the minuscule piece of cheese didn't look or taste like cheese, but reminded me of a piece of curled up parchment paper. My husband's sub was fair but she forgot to bring him the glass of water he'd asked for and he had to keep asking for refills of his iced tea. Overall a dreadful experience when we had been looking forward to a tasty, quick meal. The first time we've ever been there, and also our last.

And, well, I won't keep you in suspense but that first bite of the salted honey butter and jam biscuit was transcendental. It was a little crumbly but so chewy and moist, and the jam and honey butter combo was incredible. Indescribable. They have so many pastry options, as well as breakfast sandwiches, but I really had eyes only for the biscuits. Also tried the cheddar scallion biscuit - amazing. I'm running out of adjectives to describe how good these were. The key for super flaky, tender biscuits is using very, very cold butter and not mixing the dough too much. It was cool to watch people baking in the back kitchen. Got the quiche as well. Tasty, with a nice mix of egg and veggies and cheese, with a well-made crust, but next time I would just get more biscuits. Lots of free parking spots in front and nearby.
