I haven't seen a restaurant this clean for years. I have had a very nice no rush breakfast here but today I sat on the stools waiting for a take out. I could see behind the counter and it was spotless. The eggplant is thin sliced, not greasy at all and no bitterness. Perfect. I am somewhat of an eggplant expert as it is my go to. This is one of the best...well, I can't think of any better that I've ever had anywhere else. Superb service, cleanliness and fresh, cooked to perfection. Try it.

Formerly Olive Cafe, Piatto Cafe is a casual roadside breakfast and lunch restaurant serving traditional breakfast fare all day and Italian American fare for lunch (starts at 11am) including a variety pasta dishes, salads, lemon rice soup, subs, sandwiches, wraps, and desserts. The place was redone nicely with counter seating (high chairs), booths and tables. I stopped in for breakfast recently. The place was fairly busy for breakfast with plenty of customers and takeout customers. I could sit where I wanted and chose a table with a view of the open concept kitchen. I ordered the Western Omelette ($12.95 plus tax) served with hash browns and toast and got an ice water. My food was served to me in about 10 minutes after ordering. The Western Omelette was a blended folded egg sheet with ham, onions, green peppers & American cheese. The hash browns were flat grilled, shredded seasoned potatoes. The multi grain toast was buttered pretty well. I put some Frank's Red Hot Sauce on my food for a nice kick and actually made Western Omelette sandwiches with the buttered toast. As I was eating, the place for really busy with large families arriving here and tables and chairs were moved around to accommodate. I was promptly given the check after I looked over at the server. The check with tax and before tip was $13.86. Overall, the Western Omelette breakfast was filling and tasted just fine. I will have to stop in again for lunch to try some Italian food.

Chicken Parmigiana with Linguini and a side order of Eggplant Parmigiana

Visited the new Piatto Cafe (@piatto_cafe_rowley) in Rowley today for some take home lunch and really enjoyed our food! We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with Linguini and a side order Eggplant Parmigiana. There is so much food we split the orders and made chicken/eggplant parm it was so good! Oven warmed rolls with butter were also included. Met the owners and they couldn't have been any nicer. Raising a family of their own and a new business. Congratulations! If you haven't tried Piatto Cafe in Rowley you out to give them a try. The quality and love they're putting into their food is fantastic. I know we will be eating and ordering from them again and again! PS - we have a couple gluten free at home and I saw on the menu they offer gluten free penne pasta.

Clean and bright interior.

I enjoyed the standard plate that included a homemade biscuit the size of my head. Yes, I finished it. I mean, it was a homemade biscuit for Pete's sake! Iasked for soft poaced eggs and I got them. Our only real option was two seats at the bar. We had quick and attentive service from the bartender. Interesting offerings for cocktails, and we enjoyed our drinks. The food I think can be best described as American/Thai/Asian. Food came pretty fast, and we started with crab rangoon, and possibly the largest we have ever been served. Fried up crisp, not greasy and generously filled with cream cheese and real crab. Next up, we tried the Waygu burger which was quite good, nice toppings. My only complaint here was we wished the fries were fresh out of the fryer. I'm really fussy about fries and like them hot, crispy and fresh. Sadly, these were not. I had my eye on the Choco Taco for dessert, and this was a sophisticated version of the classic frozen treat you may have enjoyed from the ice cream truck as a kid. Home made with great ingredients, it was a perfect finish to a very nice meal. I would definitely give these guys a try when in Newburyport.

When you walk in, the place is beautiful- sort of modern rustic chic with beautiful string lights. We ordered mussels and wine to start. Mussels were fantastic. Meaty, flavorful and plenty for everyone. The entree is where it fell short for me. I got the shrimp pasta. While the flavor was there, when I cut into the shrimp they still looked pretty translucent to me. After eating one and cutting up a few others, I felt that they were undercooked. The waitress said they wouldn't cook them more but she could bring the plate back and ask if they were cooked through. My plate came back and I was told they were cook so I sat there pushing soft, nasty shrimp around my plate while just eating spaghetti. My boyfriend asked for a medium burger and it was definitely rare to medium rare. When this happens, generally you offer to bring out new protein cooked again or ask if the guest wants something else but I was just left to feel like I was nuts. Whatever, into dessert. Now for dessert, I thought we'd try the cookies and ice cream. cookies were completely raw ( not just soft) and also not hot and the ice cream on the plate looked like it was pre scooped and refrozen. While I loved the concept of this place. Relaxing getaway where you can just do it all onsite, I honestly would spare yourselves the experience of the restaurant or order fish and chips or fried chicken) and just dine in Newburyport.

Ordered a fiddlehead double IPA with 8.2 abv Smoked bbq chicken wings 2 meat combo of ribs, brisket, Mac and cheese, bbq beans Well, smoked wings were outstanding and some best I've had .... Just right amount of smoke flavor. Brisket was a huge wow... tender, moist and some of best brisket I've had at many bbq spots throughout USA. Ribs had a nice smoke ring, a bit salty for my tastes, but still an excellent cook on the ribs Mac and cheese was great, I wanted a multi cheese taste... add a parm cheese to it... still excellent cook on the Mac and cheese Beans very good, I like a bit more molasses, with few chunks briskets ... excellent however Corn bread on dry side...needs improvement Only one option for bbq ... I wanted a peach flavor for my brisket, but all good Excellent bbq with outstanding wings . I'll return .

The pork belly sandwich special was an unforgettable mouthful: juicy, cheesy, and perfectly stacked on toasted rye that added the ideal crunch. We were shocked (in the best way) by the salad portions--massive! Easily enough to feed a family of four, and fresh as can be. The cornbread? Soft, sweet, and heavenly with the honey butter. We did think a little toast would've helped that butter melt just right--but still a must-order. The house pickles were crisp with the most satisfying snap and bold flavor. We also tried the hush puppies with their unique dipping sauce--super creative, though not totally our vibe. Limited seating means you might wait, but trust us--it's absolutely worth it. Booth or table seating. The Rusty Can is a flavor-packed experience from start to finish.

Was delightfully greeted by Madelyn and Melissa my bartenders. Was served and ate well like always!!! Power went out a few times and was given the option to leave but I decided to stay. After the fourth time I decided to cash out to make sure the place I enjoy didn't get shafted like the individuals who ran out when it went off. Upon paying for my meal and drinks I asked for the military like I always do and was rudely interacted with by the floor manger saying we don't do military I said well yes you do I come here almost daily. She snarled and said well WE did enough for you today, (you mean you served me my breakfast and my three drinks?) and we don't do that. I then showed her that you do have a military discount and she mumbled something under her breath rudely and finally applied the discount. Mind you the bartender apologized, though not her fault. This manager is absolutely rude. This would be the second time. First time I actually thought they didn't have one until the second time I came in and was told there is one and they said this manager is just lazy and rude. The entire time I was here she was sitting down laughing with friends leaving her staff with no help.... throughly enjoy this place, but man she doesn't belong and needs an attitude adjustment. But anyways eat here! Foods great and the Bartenders are sociable. P.S - It would have been a 5 star except for Lizzie...... see you all tomorrow
