The aesthetic and ambience is good. Lively and fun. The food was fine. I wouldn't rush back for the food but it's super convenient to U of A.

We stopped in for dinner prior to a show - The Sex Lives of Puppets - at Marroney Theatre, and I'm glad we did. The hostess and our waiter, Boston, were phenomenal, and the food (Green Chicken Enchiladas and Carnitas Bowl) was very tasty.

This is a Uni Concepts restaurant ie same owners as Gentle Ben's and Bacio. I'm glad to hear that they are a community-focused group. It's also important to support locally owned businesses, as far as I know they're a local owned dining group. Today they hosted a Furlturiza meeting which is a local organization that is promoting STEM education with Latinas. They were also gracious and gave the organization some delicious food. We tipped our server for the great service. It's cool what they've done with the space that used to have the Dutch which was also a great restaurant. Definitely try this place out if you're in the area.

Nice UofA main gate restaurant. Has inside, outside and inside balcony seating. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good fused Mexican restaurant focused on agave based cocktails. Turns into a club at 10pm. Food is very well prepared. We we present for theater at Centennial Hall and they worked with our time limits. We had the Ahi as a meal and a 2 taco meal. Very tasty. I don't recall the sauce on the Ahi but was good and different. Tacos were great. They get busy in evening especially if events so go to website for reservations. I don't know why we waited to come here, as we come for theater and other reasons fairly regularly to UofA area. Parking is limited and metered M-Sat until 7pm. Garages are close by as well and on street car.

I just went to Agave House for the first time and had a great experience! I ordered the Quesabirria which came out perfectly seasoned, along with delicious sides of beans and rice. The location is extremely convenient, being right on University, and the service was great. Both the hostess and our server were attentive and helpful, recommending various dishes to our party. Overall, for the price and location, I thought that the food was definitely worth the stop. The restaurant is very chic and modern, with a slower and calmer vibe during the day but a more party-oriented atmosphere at night.

I wanted to shout out the amazing bartenders and staff here. I came here the other night after a Broadway show for &Juliet and the food and drinks were amazing. The set up for the after party included drinks, there was vegan tacos, chips and salsa and chicken and queso. Food was soo good. The staff was friendly and was able to recommend mocktail drinks since I don't drink alcohol. The restaurant was immaculate clean and loved the vibes and atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon!

Food was delicious, service was great, and the atmosphere was even better. Stopped here while on a visit in town and would definitely come back if i was ever in town again. Highly recommend!

This is located adjacent to the U of A campus. Our server, Carley, was the best! She answered all our questions and was attentive throughout our experience. There were three in our party. All three of us ordered house margaritas. Clocking in at $10 for this drink, the glass was 90% ice and 10% beverage. We sipped slowly to make it last as we were not going to order another. One in our party did express our disappointment in the beverages to the bar. I ordered chicken enchiladas with red sauce that came with their charro beans and rice. When I think of enchiladas, I think of diced onion and cotija on top. These had some sort of melty cheese and had been run under the salamander to melt everything together. The enchilada needed some seasoning and some heat. It was ok. As a table we got the chips and salsa which gave us a selection of three of their salsas. The pico had a nice fresh pop of flavor. The Verde had a little more zip. Our collective favorite was the guacamole salsa. One of my dinner companions had the Achiote Roasted Chicken with charro beans, cilantro rice, spring onions, jalapeno, ancho tomatillo salsa. She requested a side salad instead of the rice. Carley explained the up charge which was not a problem. The side salad that came was loaded with veg and my dinner companion was happy. My other companion ordered the Chicken Adobada bowl. At the time, he was looking at the salads and the entrees and couldn't decide. The bowl was the perfect combination of the two. It had ,in addition to the chicken, greens, refried beans, rice, corn, guacamole, pico, salsa Morita, and queso fresco. He enjoyed every bite. It was pricy and the food was ok. The staff is fire! They have great folks working front of house representing them.

Decided to check this spot out before heading to our show. The service was nice, food was good. I was disappointed that they make you pay for chips n salsa, but I guess this may become the new norm. Overall, cute spot to grab a bite.

This place has a cute decor. I sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks and tacos. This place didn't offer free chips and salsa, which was a bummer. The quesabirria and salmon tacos were both very good, as was my margarita. The service was friendly, but it did take awhile to get my bill.

Our party of seven was seated immediately and our server, Melanie, was awesome. I had the Green Enchiladas and really enjoyed them. Left completely satisfied and didn't even have any chips and salsa. The only knock on the place was the music was a bit loud for the conversation we wanted to have at our table. Will return

When you first walk-in the ambience is very bright and airy inside. They have an outdoor patio, indoor tables/large booths, upstairs, and bar seating. Customer service was top notch on a busy Friday night! Tried three different salsas: the house salsa was just okay, tata was good but I expected spicier, and the guacamole salsa was amazing! Had the house margarita, ahi tuna negra, and quesabirria tacos. Some friends had the carna asada tortas and really enjoyed them. Since it is down by the U of A parking is the only thing that can be a hassle and take some time to find an open spot.

Stopping during busy day helping neighbor friend recovering from orthopedic surgery we found accessibility parking on the west or Sw side of building to the avoid several steps in front. With a separate bar are in front , a separate dining area inside which opens to a " lovely patio outside we were able to be seated during lunch . Big menu , breakfast , lunch , dinner with many choices . Neighbor had posole which she said was pork based but tasty / filling . I went with my favorite 2 chili rellenos with the rich green chili sour cream sauce ( 3 different choices) , refried beans , calabacitas , & flour tortilla. The rellenos are tasty with the rich sour cream green chile sause, beans, & rustic cut calabacitas It's consistently still very good . The staff & servers very friendly and attentive , even the cook ! Long time Tucson sports journalist Steve Rivera from SAnte Fe ,NM ( whom I'm a loyal afternoon listener to his " eye on the ball " 1450 am local sports talk shown m-f 3-5 pm ) touts this as his favorite Tucson restaurant reminding him of home which says it all ! Big menu including big diverse breakfast option too . One last challenge was only on shared bathroom & second was a long steep climb up long stairs to two very dated restrooms upstairs ( surprised to see Tucson lifestyles magazines offices there ) . That would be the only criticism but with an older building the only other restroom option. My neighbor friend happy with the posole ,filling & didn't have to wait at lunch time. Happy to return to this local favorite with unique tasty unique New Mexican style cuisine . Try it !

Margaritas were above average; wife got the prickly pear and I got the green chile and we both liked them. Chips and salsa were average. They did cost $2, but it was a big bowl and we got a free refill so no complaints from me. My entree is the main way this place fell flat. I tried the three combo plate and it was pretty much 0/3. The relleno and tacos and meat were all just very bland. Not bad, just not something I would want again.

We shared the chips and salsa and the short rib tacos (we added on a 4th taco, but because they were so generously filled we could have just shared the 3!) The tacos were great - but the avocado salsa had absolutely no flavor. We added a generous squeeze of lime and a little salt and it was better. We loved the convenience of having a nice restaurant on site and we would definitely eat there again next time we're in town.
