This is truly a hidden gem . Being in Edison, we are used to oak tree road restaurants, and this one is far off from the regular Indian streets and yet serves some good food . E had been to lions roar brewery and we're looking to find Indian restaurants around.. Google had two options, but we chose this to try. We were glad that the option we chose , did not disappoint us... parking could be tricky.. I was lucky to get a parking close by... not much of ambience inside.. they have very few chairs and table to sit in eat: .. this looked more like a to go restaurant.. service was so good.. The guy spoke well and it was almost like cooking at home... very friendly . Ordered chicken pakora . It was ok. Should've had it right there in the restaurant... made a mistake taking it home because the steam in the heat, made it too soggy and tough to eat.. The taste was good though... the hero product and the best dish was the goat curry.. I have to tell the truth that I've never had a goat curry this good anywhere in New Jersey.. naan was good too.! very soft and decently sized.. we also had chicken 65 and it was ok . Hello everyone, I just placed order for chicken curry on Uber Eats at Anjana kitchen. The curry was drenched in oil I had to literally pour the top layer of the oil on to a plate and sink. I did order couple of times from here and the oil is pretty bad. I am uploading this picture and review so that people when ordering food from this restaurant are aware of the quality they are getting. It's important to eat healthy food for the cost you pay. Also the person who answered the call when I was reporting about the food seemed careless as I was urging him to look into the quality of the food that was delivered. Delivery Order - This is from a GrubHub order on 8/23, and overall experience was not good. Definitely not one of the many authentic Indian Restaurants in NJ. Order was after the recent name change to Aganja Kitchen Chicken Biryani barely had any salt, not sure whether they forgot to add or it was too little since rice did not have any salt but chicken had some salt. Even after adding salt, overall flavor was not great. Mutton Masala tasted fine but the meat was tough and chewy, so I ended up just using the masala and throwing out the meat. We loved the food here! We got an assortment of takeout: goat curry, fried chicken mom, naan. The lamb shishkebab was my favorite. I recommend calling to confirm your order- we ordered online and they lost the order, but made up for it by preparing the food quickly and throwing in some samosas. Providing an updated review since the business changed their name from Clove Garden to Aganja kitchen. I had the tamarind eggplant again which I really enjoyed- though I will say the eggplant is truly crispy if you eat in- but if you take out then it will get soggy and lose the crisp (understandable given the sauces). Definitely a dish you should eat in to get the crispness that is so good and chip like. I tried the palak kofta (spinach and paneer balls) and a chickpea dish- both were tasty though my friend though there was too much oil on the chickpea dish. They also made the mild- mild enough for me. Don't skip the rasmalai for dessert! read more

Ordered lunch special of Chicken Tika Masala ( I know very boring of me!) but everything was so delicious! The chicken! The chutney and the naan were yum! The restaurant is take out only which is really unfortunate but I do wish they would make the space more attractive. It's basically a curtain and for the area it doesn't fit. Parking is across the street or along North Ave. If I had one thing that shocked me was the price, for a lunch special it was very expensive. I guess I'm used to the prices in nearby towns with large Indian populations like Iselin or Edison. At this restaurant, I paid over $35 for two lunch specials. Restaurants in the area usually charge $10-12 for a lunch special and that even comes with a canned soda. There is so much variety of food in this area I think the price would dissuade someone from here. I know it's another cuisine but still $35+ for 2 lunch specials is a lot. If that's a lunch special I can't imagine regular price. I would come here again, absolutely. Food was delicious and the lady was very nice! For a treat, though not on a regular basis. Picked up takeout tonight from what used to be called Clove Garden, now renamed Aganja Kitchen. The food was just awful, nothing like the Clove Garden mentioned in the reviews. Must be new ownership/management/chef. I have travelled to India many times, eaten Indian in London and here in the NYC area and this doesn't resemble Indian food in the least. Heading through Wakefield you could easily miss this gem on busy Old Tower Hill Rd. Don't let the small exterior stop you from trying the big flavors that await you inside. I hadn't even heard of Clove Garden until a friend suggested we meet there for dinner and I am so we did!! The staff took excellent care of us ensuring that we ordered the spice level we preferred and happily answered questions. The lamb spinach and chicken tikka dishes were perfection, tender and flavorful and accompanied by a delicious garlic naan. Clove Garden is an easy drive from URI, and from any destination via Rt 1 it's a quick trip. Be sure to give them a try, you will be so glad you did!! Amazing food! We ordered a large takeout order and got to try many dishes (Vindaloo, Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer, Achari Chicken, Biryani, etc). All were excellent and they had generous portions. The lunch special is a great value, with a huge portion of rice and curry, an entire naan, a veggie samosa with 2 chutneys, a container of dal, and a bit of dessert. I get this to share with my 2 toddlers and we're always stuffed and so happy. Service is super friendly and fast, prices are great, portions are good, what's not to like?
