I was charged $2,000 for a pair of 25,000-cycle springs with a 7-year warranty, plus additional charges for drums, cables, and other components. After researching comparable repairs and obtaining a better understanding of typical pricing, I believe the amount charged was far above market rates. What concerns me most is the lack of transparency. The invoice contains only vague descriptions such as "heavy duty springs" and does not include specific part information that would allow a customer to independently verify what was installed. Came out and installed new garage doors on 8/10. Before crew finished, I noticed the top panel on my left hand garage door had a gouge in it. We documented this Company returned on 8/20 to replace the damaged panel. I paid them the remaining monies due On 8/30, I noticed a similar gouge in the left hand garage door's lowest panel. After repeatedly contacting them on 8/31, 9/1 and 9/2, I called their Scheduling Dept instead. Kept being told someone would get back to me - no return call until I spoke with Jenna and advised I was going to contest the credit card payment After this, Josh called me back & came out to look at the panel. We both pulled up photos to show that this gouge was present at the original installation date (tried to tell me "I" damaged the door) After several more follow up calls Josh told me on 9/8 that the panel would be here in 2 weeks and they would call to schedule removal of damaged panel/installation of new undamaged panel. It is now 9/23. I reached out to them yesterday for two reasons: first - to check on status and second - to advise my driveway was being replaced this week and once that occurred, no trucks or service vehicles would be allowed to pull onto the driveway. DO NOT USE. Total scam. We needed garbage spring doors replaced and they quoted $1500 per spring (!!) plus labor costs. Claimed to use diamond spring but the website he texted was diamonD SPINGS and the product didn't have the distinctive blue. Luckily before they finished I did some quick research and called another company for an estimate, who said it would be closer to $600 (including labor). BEWARE-I called another company to repair my broken garage springs and AG garage LLC arrived as a subcontractor. These guys are scammers. I was quoted outrageous prices for the springs($1542) -'highest quality' with a 'lifetime warranty' (not able to provide said warranty in writing before a transaction because the warranty is on the receipt... or so I was told). Then after telling me lower cost springs were not available and a long conversation with a boss on the phone, I was quoted $900 for springs. I said no thank you and goodbye. Also, there is no free quote with this company as advertised. Less than 12 hours later I had another company repair for $420 total. Also got a 3rd quote for $350-450 from another company. The 2nd and 3rd companies offered quotes via phone after a text photo of the springs. Stay away from AG Garage LLC! read more

One of my commercial properties had a commercial garage door that wouldn't close. Fairly simple matter as a garage door includes a motor, a sprocket, a chain, and a door. It appeared that the chain was skipping and door needed adjustment. A simple service call by all measures. Technician arrives, takes one look (before even getting on a ladder) and announces the price to repair would be $1500.00. This kind of things SCREAMS "Highway Robbery"! No diagnostics performed, no explanation of the problem, nothing. This is not my first time with this sort of problem as I own multiple properties in various states. What I have noticed is that most garage door companies in our area are owned by middle easterners who only want to replace, replace, replace and if you ask for a repair, they look at you like you have two heads. This is a new phenomenon as 10 years ago, all garage door companies had service trucks with trained technicians that spent most time repairing or adjusting doors and not gouging customers or forcing new doors on them. The manager, Josh, would not state the breakdown of charges to arrive at replacing a spring on a single garage door for $1,375.00. He said "Diamond Springs were installed and they're expensive." This is a fraudulent statement because an online video of the Diamond Spring Co shows what their springs look like. The spring they used does not have the distinctive blue end caps with the white lettering Diamond Spring. Numerous calls have not been returned from either Josh or the owner, Daniel. These people are swindlers who overcharge and refuse to rectify by refunding the amount charged and paid on a product that was not installed. Replace the opener with a cheaper model than what I had with no instructions at all. Told me the garage door opener was brand new but was scratched up and dusty like they took it from one job and installed it in my garage! Had to call the manager to have them come back out to replace the inside door opener because it didn't have a motion sensor.
