Do NOT use this moving company if you are looking for reliable movers…read more We booked them 2 1/2 weeks prior to our move and confirmed the move the night before. An hour and a 1/2 before they were supposed to arrive, I received a text stating that their truck would not start and that they could not do the move that day but offered to come on Monday. I was frantic because we did not have flexibility in our move and it had to be done that weekend. It took me 3 calls to actually speak with someone. I emphasized to Grayson, one of the owners, our lack of flexibility and begged him to consider renting a truck. He said he would look into this, however, over the next two hours I heard nothing from him, despite trying to call him numerous times. I finally received another text stating that he would not be able to come that day but was trying to call another company for us. We never heard from him again! After hours of panic and 100s of calls, we eventually found another company willing to do the move last minute for an exorbitant price. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and unreliable moving company before. I understand that things happen but a professional company would attempt to rectify it and also would actually call you and answer your calls. Moving is stressful enough, you do NOT need a moving company that just doesn't show up!

I thought this reasonable because the professional cleaners like ServPro would charge more. I told Cody that I had a professional type bucket, mops, and a shop vac. When they arrived they came with little, including no shop vac. claiming they could not find theirs. Although they did bring a few things, they used mine which was the majority. I happened to be sitting outside as they went into the basement, so I was aware when they emerged. Maybe I am a stickler, but when you are paying $75 an hour you are not including smoking breaks. One of the two made two such breaks in the period. The other also emerged for a break. When he had a full vac, he sought somewhere to put the dirt since he had no receptacles or bags for such use. When he emerged to empty the vac my wife asked about masks. They had none, so she provided some for both. Any job like this when you are using bleach with its fumes requires them. When they were finished Cody said the job now included an extra $30 for supplies. When I objected he said it was for brooms etc. they had to buy. First of all you would expect that was tools of the trade and secondly, they were primarily using my tools. They did take the trash that was related to the flooding, but reminded me they were taking the trash, that I believe he thought was good enough for the extra charge. He waived the additional fee. After they left I surveyed the basement and found a light bulb they had broken without reporting it and worse left all of my tools filthy. They must of wet and dry vacced together, since it required scooping out the wet filth. The job was done if neither professional nor perfect, but I would advise anyone who might consider their service to 1. Get a written estimate as well as a receipt, 2. Ask about the tools needed and possessed, 3. Inquire about insurance especially if they have access to anything valuable, 4. Survey the job before you pay and they exit.

And when they finally called back, not only was the estimate astronomical, we learned they didn't reserve our moving date. But if we could just change our moving date to accommodate their bumbling incompetence, they could still help us move. Sure, we'll do that and wait for them to not show up. Would not recommend them.

Moves can be difficult on a lot of levels - physically, financially, emotionally - and it seems…read morelike it's always toughest when one is moving out. Years ago, my friends had to move a store, and they, along with their amateur help, swore they would get professionals next time. Fast forward to 2024, and when it came time to do a more complex and extensive move, we said we'd get a company that would let my friends concentrate on the next chapter of their lives, and without worrying about the transition. Enter Chase. We had some interactions with them over the years with no problems, so they were a logical place to start. From our first conversation on a brutally cold February morning they let us know we were in good hands. Everyone from the office staff to the management to the guys doing the actual moving were on board with our situation and figured the easiest ways to help us get organized, packed and scheduled as moving day got closer. Responsiveness was amazing - it seemed we'd call and hear back in 15 minutes or less, every time. We were provided enough moving boxes for lamps, pictures and mirrors that we could concentrate on packing and not scrounging for ways to transport the stuff. Our pre-moving contacts meant we had a clear idea of how the move would proceed, where we could help, and, as importantly, where we should stay out of the way. Leading up to moving day, we had zero questions about anything. All we needed to do is to get a good night's sleep beforehand. If the lead-up went well, moving day went even better. Our three-person crew showed up in a new vehicle that looked like a regular truck but was configured to accommodate the very complex contents going to our new place. For a pretty good sized house to go from filled to empty in less than three hours was nothing short of amazing. The new place was tougher to get through, yet the crew managed to have us set up in even less time. I can report that nothing was damaged or scratched. Everyone was very helpful about placing items exactly where we wanted. Moreover, they left the place immaculate - outside of the boxes we unpacked, one could hardly figure imagine a move had taken place recently. Chase's rates are about what we projected we would pay and are somewhat better than the average in the area. For what you get in terms of service, responsiveness and general proficiency in moving, Chase is as good an experience as one can find anywhere. My friends are happy in their new place, and I hope they will be for a long while. If, however, they end up moving any time in the future, we know who we want to do the moving for us.
