It's pretty obvious that this is a great company. The drivers on both ends of my trip were tremendously competent, patient (as they had to problem solve), and happy about their work. On the drop off they had to maneuver on my steep and slanted driveway and ended up having to bring in a wrecker to get it off the driveway. Packing the trailer shifted how the weight worked. On the backend of the job they had to work around some low hanging cables and ended up putting minor divots into my grass. The driver insisted on filling the holes before leaving. We have a maintenance man so I insisted that he didn't have to do that. At any rate both drivers were great and all of my belongings made it to the new place unharmed. We knew in advance that UPack didn't actually service our neighborhood (due to narrow streets, hills, bad pavement) so we'd have to hire a local transport service to actually get the contents of the cube to our house. This secondary service turned out to cost $300 more than predicted -- the lesson is to do research on the various secondary services in advance and make sure that the discount from U-Pack matches the actual cost. However, nothing was broken or lost and everything came through on time and all along the way people knew what was happening, answered the phone and knew what to do next. read more

There experienced drivers and agents where very professional the loading and unloading policy where flexible. Their shipping was fast and accurate with no hidden fees. We have used u-pack two times and have been very pleased with their services. Quotes were reliable and accurate. Trailer drop-off and pickup were professional and reliable. This is a perfect service if you want the time to pack up and load rather than being rushed. They also provide at least 3 business days to load and unload and will work with you so it can be 5 days. Our trailer arrived in the expected time frame, and tracking it's progress can be done on line. We moved from Vermont to Montana and were pleased with the way our belongings arrived. If you're moving, ABF U-Pack Moving is definitely the way to go. ABF is cost-effective, timely, and efficient. They deliver a 28 ft trailer to your locale, you arrange for packing, moving goods into the trailer. With a call, they come back to pick up the trailer, and *poof* it's at the destination within a couple of days for off loading. Our move from SW VT to NoVa took a 28ft, and two weeks later, 15ft of a 2nd trailer. Eliminated was the enormous expense and attitude from a private moving company and all the inherent issues that entails. A huge shout-out of appreciation for the care and professionalism I encountered with the Brattleboro VT driver (Mark) and the dispatcher; the same may also be said for the drivers from Manassas VA. I really got a bit of attitude from a local southern VT moving company who complained about traversing our road. They specialize in VERMONT, NH, MA, and NY moves. Our road was nothing special as roads go in the area. Lucky for us, ~they~ recommended ABF which turned into a less-stressful experience overall. I highly recommend the services of ABF. read more

I have used U-Pack just recently for the third time in about 5 yrs. The logistical aspects of my use, from inception to conclusion, was about as planed and percice as one could reasonably expect. I hold on to the last star due to a consistent and unfortunate interaction with a couple of gentlemen in the customer service department. Specifically, what could only be described as a desire for brevity in their answers to questions, on the edge of being curt and passive. I often read these reviews with skepticism but after dealing with u-pack I believe every one of them. Booking was easy and they were very flexible. The 28 foot trailer came when they said it would. The driver was wonderful and was able to place the trailer where it would be the most helpful. When it was packed, they came promptly to pick it up. We were moving from New Hampshire to Kentucky. After the closing of our old house(8/21) it was a 3 day drive for us to get to Kentucky. We received a call early on that the truck was ready for delivery. We couldn't get into our new home until 9/1 but they were very flexible in working with us. The truck was delivered and again the driver was fantastic. He backed up our windy driveway and placed the truck in the perfect place. We were supposed to have the truck over the weekend but by mid afternoon on Friday we were done unloading and my husband called to tell them. They had a driver in the area and picked up the truck that afternoon. I would definitely use them again although I hope there are no more big moves in my future. read more
