Aho came in with a good quote for gutters, and they were right on target in terms of their scheduling. They pointed out factors that would matter for designing the gutter layout and then devised a great plan. There were a couple complications on installation that slipped past the planning phase unnoticed, but the guys doing the installation are clearly used to thinking on their feet and handled it all easily. The day of installation, their installers were thorough, friendly, polite, and they took masking seriously. We're very happy we went with them - the gutters look and work great and it was a good experience all around. We'll recommend them to anyone we know who needs gutters. Aho is quality people and a quality company. We're going to have them out for cleaning and maintenance yearly. read more

Everyone we worked with throughout the process was very nice and helpful. But we did have several issues: 1) the install team showed up unannounced - one day we just arrived home to find that they were already working on our job. It wasn't their fault - someone from the office had left me a voicemail the day before asking if they could put us on the next day's schedule, but I didn't see it, so I never responded to confirm. Apparently, they are supposed to get confirmation before arriving, so this was an unfortunate mix-up. 2) prior to install we requested an update to our original quote, which the sales rep failed to pass along to the install team. This wouldn't have been a huge deal if we'd been home when they arrived but, as noted above, we had no idea they were coming. So they were halfway through the job already when we arrived home, and they had to re-do some of their work because they weren't aware of the update. They were very nice and understanding about that, and did the re-work as requested, but this could have been really bad if we hadn't happened to come home when we did and catch them in time. 3) the end result is ok but not great. The downspout should always be the lowest point of the gutter run (because gravity), but ours continue to tip down after the downspouts (only for a few feet before the run ends, but still. Also, the corner joints are pretty sloppy - there are gaps that have just been smeared with globs of caulking. Overall, the gutters look good from the ground and seem to be functioning well so far, so hopefully this is only a cosmetic issue. And again - the people at Aho are so nice and helpful! I still think I'd work with them again but would be very careful about planning and talking through the details. Hopefully they work some of these issues out in the future! read more

Sales reps need better training. Couldn't effectively communicate and record specific requests. Couldn't get an important request represented in the plans regardless of how many people I spoke to who reassured me it'd be in the plans. Requested repeatedly to multiple people that water gets directed to the side then connected to downspout so no water is directed on to the roof regardless of aesthetics. Installers arrive and were unprepared for that request. They had to run back out and grab spray paint to color match and created joints on the spot. A little rough but nothing we can't buff out and repaint at a later time. They did their best given the circumstance. If the request had been noted, it would have been narrower, less noticeable gutter along the side and an even paint job. Lots of miscommunication it seems between teams. Payment was unsettling. Couldn't get proof of receipt of check. Told to pay via check or cash at installation by sales. Seemed like an inconvenience for the installers to be handed a check. Took days to get proof of receipt of payment. read more

Had a great experience with Aho installing gutters on the back of my house. They were quick to respond and very friendly. I had previously had another service provider give me a quote for the same job and they tried to upsell me and told me the bathroom vent would have to be relocated in order to install a gutter, which would increase the cost. Aho offered me a much better option of installing a diverter, which did not require any work to be done on the bathroom vent! They took care of what I needed, when I needed it and for a price that was more than fair. I recently had gutters installed by Aho gutters, and they were fantastic. I had quotes from three companies and they were not only the best price but so easy to deal with. Chester came out to do the quote, and didn't do the high pressure sales thing. I accepted the quote and he did all he promised. They do get booked up but he was honest in saying it would be three weeks before the job could be done. Very pleasantly surprised by everything, the quality, professionalism and the excellent price. I called 4 companies, including Aho, to get a bid on replacing old gutters. Two companies had no clue how to properly install gutters. It was between Aho and another reputable company. They came when scheduled, did a great job matching the siding color and were very efficient. They worked with me addressing concerns re: downspouts which if not placed properly would leave an ice slick on walkways and the driveway. The yard was left clean and free of debris.
