I called Carlos because I had a couple of issues with my 2005 BMW X5. I had also had negative experiences with dishonest shops. I wanted an honest quote and to have someone maintain my car and not feel ripped off or having loose, missing or damaged parts on the vehicle so that I'd have to come back or spend more. Carlos is honest, patient, (and quite witty I might add) and took the time to explain in layman's terms the work needed and what was completed. I actually called the local BMW dealership parts and maintenance department to compare OEM parts and prices quoted to me by Affordable Auto, and they were impressed and wanted to know who my mechanic was. ;) That made me feel good that I chose well, and the men in my family could also see that as well. I also liked the fact that his daughter occasionally helps out in the shop and that was actually the deciding factor in me coming to affordable auto. I needed an oil change and pretty picky. I would usually go to the dealer since I believed it would be better. However. I've been to a dealer for an oil change and a month later. I went to another dealer where my friend was the service tech to check on something else. As a courtesy, checked my fuels and said that I needed an oil change. I said that's impossible. I just got one the month before. And he's like I doubt that. You're over a quart short. So then I had to get another oil change realizing the Ontario BMW ripped me off. So I decided to go to local businesses that would take more pride in keeping their customers. This place was decently priced. I was able to call and come in almost immediately. I was told about an hour wait. But the people delivering the oil filter took a while. Customer service was amazing. Clean location. Way cleaner than most or all mechanic shops. Affordable Auto Care has a bad reputation which always blame on the customer' s faults even they created the problem. affordable auto care owner has a very bad attitude, if the customer is not happy and the customer wants to complaint their bad service. affordable Auto Care owner is always blame on the customer and asks customer to leave if you keep explaining your issues, the shop owner will ask his employees to tackle you and kick you out the shop instead to settle the dispute or finding the solutions to results the discrepancies. The affordable auto care is not professional by always saying to you "get the fxxx out his office when you don't satisfy their work". Please don't come to this auto repair shop. The environment is welcoming and friendly and you will get straightforward information that will help you decide how to proceed. He and his crew work diligently to ensure that every aspect of the work and recommendations are communicated effectively and honestly, and performed with care. I have an older vehicle with nearly 400,000 miles on it and it keeps running well due to the maintenance performed by this qualified professional. The results have always been dependable and I have never had to go back for a "do-over" He has never recommended work that wasn't necessary. He recommends things that may be in need of attention, but always helps me to understand how critical it is in terms of safety or performance. I have never once felt as though he were trying to "sell" me on a repair or service. His work has always been done to spec, in a timely manner, and their pricing is, as the name says, Affordable. I went on their website looking for the best possible coupon before coming in. Found one advertising a $94.99 for a transmission service/tune-up which is what I needed. Took that with me and stopped by, no parking outside meant that it must be busy with clients. NOPE, upon entering I felt like I had intruded on a party, plenty of open alcohol around, guys laying back relaxing, and worst of all I did not get greeted and my presence was unnoticed until I stepped to the counter and demanded service. I then explained my reason for visit (needed a scheduled maintenance on trans service) and showed the coupon. He's mentions, "oh you're the guy who's been calling" and I corrected him saying I had never called and only stopped because of this coupon. The guy helping me, Carlos (seemed like the manager or owner) began to tell me that the spark plugs for my car ran him at $34 each, and that it would hike up the cost of my service. He also mentioned that my car was "CTV" and couldn't explain what that meant. I explained that I have never heard of such description of my car and that we could look up my VIN number to ensure that was correct. He then hands me a printout of estimated costs totaling $349. I thought he was joking and doing that thing where he says "just for you we will do it for $94" but nope, he was very serious. HOW does a coupon for $94 hike up 200% and give no validation? He said that coupon applies to "most cars". Understandable, but I drive a HONDA, not a BMW. I don't see how we went up in price so much. I have never paid this much for this service, and I will not. Besides the obvious lack of professionalism and customer service, these people need to clarify their deals to not appear to have shady business techniques. I urge anyone reading this to go to another service location, and avoid business here. read more

I am a single woman and have always felt intimidated when taking my cars to mechanics. I took my Chrysler 300 to Carlos after getting two other estimates for an intake manifold. One was for $2,400 (dealer) & the other was $980 (my dad's mechanic). I decided to take it to Affordable Auto Care and was given a quote of $350. Needless to say, I had them repair it. Everything was done correctly and very fast. I have been taking my car there ever since for any routine maintenance & problems. I also recently acquired a vehicle for my teenager that needed a lot of attention. Carlos gave me very reasonable prices on all the work needed and kept me informed every day it was in the shop. Very bad service. I was told to bring the car at 8 am which I did and he had me waiting for half an hour and told me to drop off the car and said he would call me in about 30 minutes. I get no call so I decided to call around 12 just to find out they were out of freon so I said okay I need the car by 1:30 yet no calls after that either. Again I had to call and ask to find out some parts were bad and it's $600 to fix it so I told him no and took the car back. read more

Awesome and Refreshing! This is the best way I can describe these guys. I had to have my wife go to get rear brakes fixed on our Acura MDX. My wife hates going to these places without me, because they usually try to take advantage of her. We had gone to another mechanic on Sunday and got a quote that we felt was a bit high, but on a Sunday, I figured he was trying to get a bit extra. We called Affordable Auto Care in Corona, because I had seen an oil change coupon online from them and figured we would see. Over the phone, telling them what the other mechanic said needed done, they came in with a quote almost 40% less than the other place. wow! I thought that was great. I would have written this review just off of that. Then, my wife went there by herself, they checked out the brakes and told her that she didn't need everything the other shop told her and the cost would be 60% less than the original quote! I would recommend these guys to anyone needing repair work done, if their ethics are any indication of their work, we will return for all work. read more
