Horrible experience buying and getting support from these people, terrible customer service. You can not complain about the manager to anyone else because his brother is the owner of the company. I bought a dryer. First time they said they dropped the one I bough and they would give me an upgrade (delivery was delayed). The "upgraded" dryer looked very old, the installer just made sure it turned on and left without testing it.... it happens the timer was not working, we had to turn it off manually. I called the manager so they come look and it was a pain to have someone come back. The same installer came and replace the timer, no test again because he was in a hurry..... it happens the dial mark was completely off of the marks in the dryer and it made a squeaky noise. Again a pain to have them come back until the Manager (Kevin) came and said the dial was not the correct one and was hard to turn, he said he would change the dryer again..... then the original installer came back, installed the replacement dryer and left again without testing (despite I asked him to stay a few minutes to test it... no respect at all to customers). The dryer worked for 5 minutes and then it stopped completely, no noise, no nothing... completely dead. You can imagine the frustration in all of this. I called the manager again and he said he had tested that dryer himself and it was working, he then said he would send another dryer..... the original installer came back, replace the dryer, left without testing it despite being asked again. So far (just a couple of weeks) the dryer seems to be working. I forgot to mention that when I called the office number the representative was very rude and hang up the phone on me. They DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS. It was the worst mistake buying from this company and I will never do it again and hopefully other people read these reviews. I purchased an alleged "new" LG refrigerator from this location. The product was delivered damaged and I was told countless times it would be replaced. I have called the store, spoke to the owner on a number of occasions via text and phone which I retained. They never fixed the item that was received damaged. I called the store again today and text the owner 10/10/2017 and the receptionist/salesperson told me that time was not of the essence for the repair. It has been in excess of four months with no resolve forcing me to contact my attorney to proceed further. read more

I see there are some bad reviews here, but I had a very good experience with this place. The lady in the store was so helpful to my boyfriend and I when we went in looking for a washer/dryer set. Only reason I am doing a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star is because the washer they sent us did not work, but they had tested it that very same day and it worked previously, so that wasn't even actually their fault! (ALSO, the delivery guy said he could come back the following day to fix it for free) We ended up not even having a dryer hookup like we thought we did (it's a super old house) so we decided to use our store credit to get a better washer anyways. I went over to the store and again the same super helpful gal at the front helped me pick out an even better washer than we expected we could afford, and she knocked off some of the price for our trouble. Is there such thing as lower than one star rating? Just like all the other reviews of this business, this is a scam. BIG time. Don't let that "13 month warranty" fool you. Let me explain their business model (as confirmed by several of the repairmen who will remain anonymous but have confirmed all of this). And it should be noted that the repairmen or deliverymen never last long there because of their own upstanding moral turpitude. They buy up broken appliances, parts, lemons, and returns for pennies- and sell them to you WITHOUT refurbishing them. Don't kid yourself, this is how they make money. After you've paid, you're on the hook since they do not issue refunds. Then they will schedule "emergency" repair appointments after it's in your home to look and see what the problems are- this is their first time inspecting your item to see what's "wrong with this one". They wait until after the items are purchased and after you complain it's broken to inspect said appliance and then order the parts needed to fix...and it's only one problem at a time, that is IF they send someone out. Sure, they have a 13month warranty. They do that because they know NONE of their appliances work. They have to be fixed first... but they'll do that once they're in your house. The managers continually lie about units in stock, units available, servicemen, availability, parts, etc. When I say lie, I mean blatant. Almost sounding rehearsed. I was told about times that a floor model was purchased and before it went out to the consumer, they actually harvested a couple parts for a different repair scheduled later that afternoon. So someone actually got a model that was stripped before it got shipped to them! The repairmen can't stand the management because they know the management swindles consumers. Evidently there is dissent even among the management about how to best maximize the dollar and get away with more broken units that never get fixed, from what I was told by three repairmen. Every one that came out to use had left the company more than once only to come back for more money... and left again. They'll purposefully try to schedule when you're not home to keep putting off repairs. It's beyond unethical. They down right take advantage by preying on consumers. We actually asked for a different unit, which they said they would let us swap. Then when we got there, each of the three we picked, the manager decided we "couldn't have that one", until the only other choice was one $300 less and looked like it was bashed in with baseball bats. At this point we have had 5 "repair" visits. Guess what, still doesn't work right. I just want my money back and call it even. In fact, I'll even take a hit on tax or delivery if they just let me out of this appliance hell. But nope, they got me. And they'll get you too. It's worth the extra spend to get an item that works. If you don't, be prepared for an item that does not work, and will not work. Buyer beware. read more

I have been trying to get a hold of someone since Friday Morning. My dryer stopped working Thursday and my freezer is leaking. I have called at least 10 times a day during their business hours, facebook messaged them multiple times and sent an e-mail to the address on the website. What good is having the premium warranty if every time I need something fixed I sit on the phone for 2 minutes before the automated message says "Im sorry there is no one there to answer the call... good bye" and disconnects the call? read more

Bought one used washer on a Fri. They offered free delivery & installation but they couldn't do it until Mon, so I took it myself & installed. Didn't work. They scheduled service tech for Sat. He showed up, couldn't fix. Manager called Mon, said next available service opening was Wed, but if I brought it back, he'd fix it. I took back same day (Mon), he offered a comparable replacement that he said was tested & known to be working. I took, installed, didn't work. I called him again, he scheduled service tech for same day, even said he'd come fix it if he had to, but after closing (6 PM). At 5:30 PM Mon, service tech called, said his personal car broke down, which he was using because company service truck was in shop, then said he didn't know if he'd make it out that night, probably Tue morning first thing. I said no good, my tenant is not happy with continued delay. Tenant bought her own new one (will take with when she moves out) & I installed Mon night. Manager called Tue saying I refused to let tech come out; I said tech told me he couldn't make it, manager claimed "you said, he said" nonsense. I asked manager for refund & pick up, he said no refunds, $35 pick up fee, store credit only. I declined pick up, took back myself (3rd trip @ 17 mi one way) & received slip for store credit. Contacted owner demanding refund, owner refused, citing no refund policy on receipt. Disputed charge with credit card company. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!! Wished I would have checked out yelp before buying!! There's a reason why they turned off their reviews from facebook. These people are selling you crap that they are bootlegging to work temporally. We needed a washer/dryer because the old ones (we had for 15 years) weren't able to handle regular loads anymore, just small loads. We thought these washer/dryers would make a great temp fix, until we could afford new ones in a few months. . We had problems from day one... We saw a washer/dryer on their website that we wanted to buy that was affordable, but looked clean/good. We purchased instantly, it looked great on their site and everything went fine then. You have to call to make shipping arrangements... From the first call, I was put on hold for a long time, only for the call to end from their end. Call back within 3 mins and the voicemail said the store was closed (it was still several minutes before the store closed). OK... Had to wait several days until Monday. Made the call and we made the arrangements. She confirmed the time and date twice on the phone AND sent me an email instantly that confirmed. The day came, I took time off of work to be home to receive the items... they didn't come. I called and asked where were the delivery men? They said they had me down for the next day and that is what they told me before. I told them I have the email as proof so I know they were making it ip, but ok... I was fine with that, can't do anything about it except yell at them, but I'm not a yeller so I let it go. They sent me a NEW confirmation email with the new date/time. The washer/dryer was dropped off at the new time frame. They looked nothing like the pictures. They had soooo many dents and discoloration. It wasn't a simple refurbish, this was something that looked like it was broken down completely and then fixed. You can tell because there were things about it that was extremely used (like the start button that was slightly pushed in)... But I let it go, because all sales were final. I gave the delivery person a $20 tip even though he only needed to drop them off right by my door and leave (because of the dogs I didn't want him to make noise, trying to take it upstairs). ... I also looked at the vent, which was less than 2ft long that they charged $15 for. That was a RIP OFF! I had a vent that was 4ft long but had holes on one end.. I thought they were giving new ones.that had no holes. The one they gave had MORE holes than the one I had, so I ended up using the one I had. You can get new ones for cheaper than what they charged. It looks as if they buy them and divide them, to share among several people. So you are literally better off buying a new one, for much cheaper ..Day 1... we put everything together. Washed ONLY 4 pants. It sounded like the entire upstairs was shaking. There was a HUGE banging sound. Those 4 pants appear to be too much for the washer to handle, but we thought maybe it's just the way the machine worked for certain material (NEVER had that happen with my previous machine, but this appear to be a cheaper model). My utility closet (for washer/dryer) is upstairs. We did EVERYTHING correctly when hooking it up. (we'll ignore the fact that it takes OVER 1hr for each load to wash) within 20mins, the hose came off the back and flooded half the upstairs and part of the stairs. We figured maybe we didn't do right and it was our fault. We Clamped the clip to the hose and washer as high up and as tight as possible. Then we used as much duck tape as possible to secure it so there's no chance it will unlodge... NOPE... For weeks, it didn't unlodge, but it would shake sooo hard. It was like a booming sound would happen everytime we wash certain items (we learned to only wash 2 jeans at a time with shirts, or certain other clothes together). Last night Someone started to wash 2 pillows at night and went to sleep after starting the washer. I woke up 1hr later, to the ENTIRE bottom floor being flooded about 3 inches, and half the top floor being flooded. It was like a waterfall coming down the stairs. The ceiling was leaking water everywhere. It wasn't us doing anything wrong, the washer kept unlodgeing the hose, and even unlodged the duck tape! DO NOT Buy from these people!!!! They are selling crap. You'll do more harm than good by buying their products. I have never been so pissed off in my life. Now we have to deal with possible mold, and the hardword floors buckling/coming up. I'm surprised no one has sued them yet! I believe they are intentionally not sharing the true details concerning their items and imo are drauding people. We would have NEVER taken a chance buying from them if we knew how their machines worked. IMO They aren't being truthful when describing their items. What happened to me could NOT Be something new. I called in for service on 3/25 to have my Whirlpool dryer repaired due to the heating going out. We scheduled for Tuesday 3/27 from 11-2 and I let the service rep know that I had to be to work at 1:30. No one called or showed so I cancelled that appointment and rescheduled for 3/31. At 1:30 PM no one called so I called Affordable Appliances and inquired where the service tech was. Yes, I was angry at the time as well as being immensely inconvenienced. The srrvice tech was highly rude as well saying "this is some bullshit and I'll be there around 3:15." This is BEYOND the time requested. He then called his service manager and stated that "we got into it and he's refusing to come and fix my dryer". The service manager was okay of this inconvenience he had NO EMPATHY nor did he even try and meet my request for the dryer to be repaired on the day of 3/31 offering to come on Monday "when he gets here". DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! Their NO REFUND policy should be your first warning! Read all the negative reviews. I wish I had! I bought a stove and refrigerator from them and neither one worked correctly. The fridge cooled but did not make ice. After two months and multiple visits by "technicians" who evidently don't know what they're doing we tried a second fridge which didn't cool properly but did make ice. (how that happened is a mystery to me) Again, several unproductive visits from "technicians" and a "let's try this and see if it works" attitude I was still faced with a fridge that didn't work. I called to voice my frustration AFTER THREE MONTHS OF BEING PATIENT and was treated so rudely by the owners wife that I couldn't believe my ears. This person has absolutely NO CUSTOMER RELATIONS SKILLS, and seems to get completely flustered if she has to deal with more than one customer or phone call at a time. She's lucky to be related to the owner because no other employer would put up with her incompetence. As for the stove: The first one arrived with only two burners working. One visit by one of their technicians resulted in an additional two burners becoming operational. This appliance was also traded for another. It did work, but was dirty and greasy. After being so rudely treated, and experiencing their complete incompetence, I decided I had sufficiently learned my lesson and needed to eliminate this source of unhealthy stress, SO I THREW AWAY THE SECOND FRIDGE AND WENT AND BOUGHT A NEW ONE! Do not purchase anything from this place!! The items they sell are crap and their customer service is even worse. We've had guys out almost a handful of times since purchasing a washer and dryer from these crooks less than 6 months ago. The people they send out to install and service equipment when issues arise don't have any idea what they're doing. (For example the guy who installed our equipment left a gas line loose putting my family in danger, thank goodness my husband was here to correct this dudes mistake!) Should you call to make a complaint or concern the manager Kevin is just as idiotic and will make excuses all day long why it's OK his products and staff suck!! Please take my advice and avoid this place at all cost!! Buying new products and spending a little more Is much better than all the headaches you'll get from these dummies!!! I recently moved from Memphis to Texas and found Affordable appliances on craigslist. This was the Dejavu of sales experiences where they treat you as an equal until money is exchanged. My washer was praised by the sales associate for being one of the best in their inventory. I was also told for no additional charge the dyer vent hose and chord would be supplied and installed on my exsisting dryer. I purchased the washer on a Saturday and it was delivered that monday. The tech briefly checked out the washer after install and assured me it was quiet but extremely efficient. He was unable to install the dryer chord and didn't bring the vent hose. I later installed them both. It's true the washer was quiet but failed to clean my clothes. After I informed them they assured me a tech would be there Thursday between 10-2. No tech called or showed so I called and was transferred to a tech. I was then told I would get a washer of equal or greater value on Saturday. On Saturday not only did they insist the washer was fine but offered me one of lesser value. I requested that the difference be refunded and the down grade installed for my inconvenience. They refused and said we don't do refunds no matter how small or large. Needless to say my only recommendation is proceed with caution. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. They put on a good show in store but they clearly do not value customers at all. We had a washer dryer installed Wednesday but did not work because the water return pipe was leaking. We were told that would be replaced and we would be good to go between 4-6pm that night. We did not hear anything and when we finally got ahold of a person we were told the delivery man was on a call and would contact us soon. At 8:30 we finally received a text from the delivery man that said he left work early and the office was supposed to tell us earlier in the day. We agreed on him coming first thing the next morning and when we called he said he would be here between 3 and 5pm even though I had texts confirming morning. He did not show up until 5:15. We did one load of laundry and then the dryer stopped working. It is now Saturday at 12:43pm and we were supposed to have someone come fix our dryer between 8-11 am. We have now waited around for 16 hours for service from this company with zero communication as to what was going on or why no one was showing up. At this point we would have been better renting a washer and dryer monthly. Save your self time and hassle. read more

Went in to this location after seeing there ads plastered all over craigslist there photos show washer in great like new condition so i go there and let the guy know that im needing a good washer he says the they only sell them in a set and thats not what it say on there ads or web-sight then he shows me a washer that looks like it been hit with a bat and rusted then he shows my on more in the same condition when we were walking thru the floor all there washers were in the same condition so the pictures on there ad and web-sight are totally different than whats in store so i recommend just paying a little more and getting a bread new one at your local home depo read more

This a negative review for this company. Do not buy from here if you can help it. I've only had my washer/dryer set for 2 months and they've already come out for my dryer within the first 2 weeks. Said it was something clogged in my vent, that they did everything they could, but my apartment maintenance confirmed that my vents had been looked at several times and nothing was clogging it. AAP in return said they will not be back to service my dryer. So for the last 2 months I've been having to cut my loads in half so it doesn't take my dryer 3 hours to dry a load, but still having to run it just as much because i have to split up the laundry more. Last night my washer started smoking and making a high pitch noise. At the end of the cycle, the clothes were still wet. I called AAP this morning to put in a maintenance request and have been on hold for 30 minutes before I'm even checked on, then when I try to go into what resulted with the dryer and how i didn't even have a lot of clothes in the washer for it to malfunction, I get put back on hold. I was on hold an hour before I gave up. I'm now trying to call back to confirm my appointment to make sure the lady actually entered it, since there was no record of any issues I've had with my set, I'm now holding again. So frustrating. Oh yeah, and be weary of any company that doesn't keep track of what brand washer you order. Something with that just screams they don't know what they're doing over there. They are very wonderful helpful people. I have been there several times.I purchased several things there my daughter has purchased several things there and they are the most kind and sweet people that I've ever met we travel all the way from Smithville Texas to go there to buy our appliances they've never been rude they've always been honest and helpful and I don't understand that people that are writing these horrible reviews are have they gone to the different store? This is the store right off I35. all I can say is God bless them for being so courteous and nice and honest and helping us and our family and friends with appliances and repairing appliances and I plan to go back and send everybody that I know!I took my daughter there she thought she needed a new dryer and so she took her dryer in to see if they could use it for parts the man told her after looking at her dryer that there was nothing wrong with her dryer it must have been the hose that came from the back was clogged up and she needed to have that looked at he could have sold her a new dryer and we would have never known any difference instead he was honest and was able to send her back with her dryer and we replaced what he told us at her house and now it works perfectly that's not somebody that takes advantage of people that's an honest Godly person! read more
