Salon was filthy owner was awful. Do believe the bad reviews, I didn't and I'm paying for it. Also do read the terms and conditions on her website because what it means is that you can sit in a chair and she can claim she cut your hair and there is nothing you can do but pay up.

She said my hair was still healthy so I decided not to get a cut today. Next time I'll get highlights and a cut. The bathrooms are nice here. The salon is well lit. I need a new stylist and was looking forward to meeting her. The salon is on Abbott Road at Woodside in South Buffalo. The upstairs is for coloring, highlighting, and rinsing/shampooing your hair. The downstairs has a receptionist right when you walk in. Behind her is an area for cutting and styling hair. The salon is chic and set up well. Amber is a great conversationalist. I wasn't stressed at all during my visit and the time spent there went by very quickly. I had her highlight my hair with blonde highlights and cut an inch and a half off. She did a really great job. I can't wait for my next appointment.

I wanted a short cut with layers and she suggested I try it without layers at first since I have thinner hair because it would be pretty full at that length already. I don't know that stylists get enough credit for being on their feet and using their hands all day while having to maintain a sunny disposition (despite whatever they may have to manage in their personal life and/or the myriad of oddities they likely have to endure at the hands of clients).... the salon here certainly deserves that acknowledgment. My visit to Tonic was a truly refreshing break from the hectic realities of life to thanks to their upbeat, welcoming environment with a very genuine and engaging stylist (who heard exactly what I wanted and delivered it!). It is clear that Allison seems takes great pride in her work and emulates a strong confidence in her approach (seems well deserved!). Equally skilled and engaging, Allison was a true pleasure to spend time with and be styled by. I hope the very best for her in the year ahead. Another facet of this visit that stood out to me was the very clear affinity the stylists seem to have for one another with frequent shared laughs and dialogue.
