Irish Omelet, 3 egg breakfast & Cinnamon Sugar Pancake
    Rebecca J.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way to run errands on a Sunday morning. We've driven by many times and thought it's always looked like a cute spot for breakfast. We were right! Retro diner feel inside & out. Ample seating, very friendly & fast service & delicious food. We ordered the Irish Omelet and 3 egg breakfast with the Cinnamon Sugar pancake on the side. Everything was amazing, especially the pancake. It tasted just like a cinnamon sugar Auntie Annie's pretzel!

Stopped here for breakfast and was somewhat nervous as there was only 1 other customer there at 8am. It's a very clean place with a friendly waitress who served us. Started to read the reviews on Yelp after we sat down and got a little nervous with some bad reviews. However I believe all the bad reviews were lunch or dinner reviews. For me our breakfast was fantastic! Excellent xcheese & sausage omelette along with great hash browns and thick rye toast..... Delicious! My wife's veggie omelette was good too. My only two issues are the price, $25.99 for the two omelets with coffee...with tip, your at $30 and the other issue is the Omelets were a little small. Other than those two issues, I'm coming back if in the area. May not try lunch or dinner based on some of the reviews but for breakfast, I highly recommend it.

Found myself near Windham, ct so tried this diner out. They have a variety of sodas from the fountain which was great, enjoyed my birch beer. It was a Sunday night so not very crowded. There is a back room in addition to what you see in the pics. I got one of the specials, sirloin steak sandwich w/ blue cheese and hand cut fries. Also got an extra thick chocolate shake. Steak was cooked as ordered, on a warm toasted kaiser roll with a good amount of blue cheese and the hand-cut fries. Everything was delicious, and the extra thick shake was amazing. This is a gem in rural CT. Worth a trip if visiting east of Hartford.

Friendly service, fluffy eggs, loved the bacon, good home fries. Standard toast an coffee. I love the old feel of the 50's diner, they did a great job restoring the diner back to it prime.

turkey club with sweet potato fries

We were looking for a place for lunch and happened upon this diner. There was not a lot of parking available even though the restaurant was not close to being full. Most of the other diners were having breakfast which looked good, but we decided to order a turkey club using wheat toast and added sweet potatoes. The club was good sized and all the ingredients were fresh. The previously frozen sweet potatoes could have used a minute longer in the fryer but otherwise were pretty good. Our server was very pleasant.

I have been driving past this place for years, but I love diners so I decided to try it for lunch with my brother. The interior is very clean and has a gorgeous retro feel. When we walked in, the waitress was cleaning the menus. It was nice to see how clean they keep the place. We both ordered an aero cheeseburger with grilled onions and split an order of chili cheese fries. The food came out fairly quickly but it was pretty much what you would expect from a diner. Good but nothing too special. The waitress was friendly, the diner was very clean, and the food was okay (a bit overpriced for the quality in my opinion.) I would probably stop in again for a quick bite.

Hubby and I stopped in after dropping a friend's dog at airport. Have driven by more times then we can count but never stopped. So glad we decided to stop in and have breakfast. Super friendly staff. :) The food was yummy. We will for sure be back.

Got the onion ring burger which was pretty darn good for an inexpensive diner. Was bothered by a couple flies the whole time though.

The waitresses are always friendly, attentive, and informative, and hearing them describe the daily specials always makes my mouth water. Even when there's a wait, it's absolutely worth it. Since we don't live in the area, visiting this restaurant feels like a special treat for my wife and me.

The restaurant is very clean. I've met the owner twice as he tries to get around the diningroom before you leave to make sure your experience was a good one & personally thank you. I feel that in itself makes a big difference in quality control & guaranteeing he is hearing his customers & perhaps can make changes before it becomes a business-changing problem. (Sometimes a few bad reviews spread like wildfire & changing rumors back to the truth can hurt the bottom line). There is a delightful waitress you'll be glad to have serve you if you are lucky enough to be seated at her table. "Grandma (name)?" is a very happy way to start your day. She knows the menu well & can make you smile on your worse days. The menu has plenty to choose from & the portions sizes..epic! Eggs Benedict is 3 egg size. Pancakes & French toast orders are enough for today & tomorrow without adding eggs or meat. But their prices are similar to other places lessor size plates. There is an ramp at the entrance for those with mobility issues. There are a couple of handicap spots too. I do not know if the restrooms are wheelchair friendly as I didn't check it out yet. Even on a packed Sunday morning, the kitchen was quick moving the food out.. the waitress was right on top of refills too. Definitely worth stopping in & giving it a try but bring your appetite. Eating like a bird, I think, is frowned upon.

Hands down the best breakfast I've ever had -- and I don't say that lightly. Everything was fresh, cooked perfectly, and you can tell they actually care about quality. The portions were great, the vibe was classic diner comfort, and the service made it even better. If you're anywhere nearby, this place is 100% worth it. Definitely my new go-to spot. The parking lot is 'smallish' on the right side of the building and flows right to left in one direction, so be sure to look for the 'enter' sign. There are three steps up into the diner so be aware of that if you have difficulty using steps. Also, the restroom is tiny: like so small the sink is about a foot long by half as much wide, small. We stop in here on our trips out to Groton. Last visit we stopped for a late breakfast/early lunch. I ordered a coffee and it came in a nice big mug and is a mellow blend with a smooth finish. There are photo descriptions on the table of what your eggs will look like based on how you order it, so no surprises. What a great idea. The table holds napkins, hot sauces, salt & pepper, jellies, creamer and sugars. The staff are pleasant. Some are more chatty than others. There are definitely some regulars here each time we visit. The menu has lots of breakfast options but there are no substitutions so you may need to order al a carte or get a different 'meal' option and add-on an item. Just a heads up. They have plenty of toast options including English muffins. The lunch menu is a variety of sandwiches and burgers. Fries are tasty. Lettuce and tomato on your sandwiches are fresh. I can't think of a single disappointment we've had here. If you are in the area and enjoy a nice diner experience, stop in to Norm's.
