PEACH COBBLER, CHOCOLATE TART
Brendan C.

This place was good, it was decent food, the price was a little bit high for the quality however. The service was unmatched, never went a moment waiting too long for anything. I got the pork shank, which I think was probably the best value of everything we got. Very large portion, the sweet potatoes were perfect, the Brussels sprout however were roasted to the point of bitterness and had very little structure retained. My girlfriend had the Filet mignon, which was disappointing, somehow dry on the edges and blue rare in the center, which for $79 I'd expect a high class restaurant to know how to cook a filet. But she said the flavor was good and that she liked it. The crab Mac was delicious, but not much crab in it, and multiple small shell pieces throughout. The ambience and drinks were amazing, overall a very fun time, I just was expecting a little more from the food for the price point. I would say the pork shank was the star for me, it was perfectly done and a very large portion, and the mustard seed jus was a phenomenal choice for the topping on it, and the octopus was second, I'd like to also mention the harissa aioli seemed out of place to me, it was okay for the octopus (the chorizo vinaigrette was amazing) but putting the side of scallops in a massive pile of harissa mayo was weird to me. It completely took away from the delicate flavor of the scallops. As far as desserts, the chocolate torte was amazing, but the peach cobbler has a weird texture and color, I believe the cast iron dish it was in colored the whole cobbler this off putting gray color, which didnt affect the flavor, Which was good, but again, from a nice restaurant like this, I was expecting things to be a little more dialed in if I'm spending $500 on dinner. I'd say overall it was worth it for the nice time, and excellent service and drinks, but I wouldn't say the food goes as above and beyond as I expected. I would give 3.5 stars if I could, 3 seems a litttle harsh but 4 doesn't get the point across as much as I'd like.

Pretty nice, upscale steak and seafood type of restaurant. My crab cake starter was just OK. Prob wouldn't order again. Not much flavor or wowness. Not warm. My halibut had a lot of flavor but again not warm. Add on bread basket didn't taste good to me, but the ube butter was interesting. Our server was fun and efficient. She might have been the best part for tonight. I probably wouldn't rush back, but to be fair it wasn't a bad place. Just wish they warmed the food up more.

CITRUS MARINATED BEETS

I came across Aerlume as I was looking for a somewhat fancy restaurant to have dinner with a view of the water. It was a simple process to make a reservation on their website, and I was even able to make a note that I was celebrating my birthday. Aerlume is right next to Pike's Place, so finding parking may be a challenge but don't let that discourage you from trying it out. Service was amazing and the food was really good too. While waiting for my appetizer, the chef brought me a steak sashimi amuse bouche that was absolutely delicious!! My mouth is watering thinking about it. I kept it light with the citrus marinated beets as my appetizer. Although I don't usually eat beets, I thought this dish was so good! For my main course, I got the C.A.B. filet mignon. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything tasted so good together. I was amazed by the how thick the asparagus was! I did inhale my food quite fast so I passed on dessert in favor of hot tea, but their dessert selection also sounded yum. I regret not getting the carrot cake. I had a great experience dining here and would love to eat outside in the future! Also, if you're wondering, I don't believe there's a dress code. Their website doesn't make note of one and I was ok to dine in my jeans and Gazelles.

Beautiful waterfront views, memorable dishes, and a great spot for a special occasion. We came here to celebrate our friend's birthday and had such a fun experience overall. The ambiance alone makes this place feel special. There is bar seating around a fireplace near the entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water, and even a balcony with a few outdoor tables. We came around sunset, and the views were absolutely beautiful. We ordered a mix of shareables, entrees, and sides and shared everything family style. Standout starters for me were the Peruvian Steak Bites, which were incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The Yellowfin Tuna Poke was another favorite. It was light, fresh, had a slight kick, and I loved that it came with crispy rice paper instead of the usual chips, which gave it a nice texture and made it feel a little different. The Crispy Cauliflower was also very good. Crispy on the outside, hot and flavorful on the inside, and the creamy aioli paired really well with it. We also added the bone marrow butter with thin sliced toasted bread instead of the traditional sourdough, and that ended up being a great choice. For entrees, the Fried Half Chicken was one of the stronger dishes. The skin was super crispy, the chicken was tender and juicy inside, and the honey mustard aioli paired really well with it. Portion sizes on the entrees were generous. The Heritage Berkshire Farms Pork Shank was also excellent. The pork was so tender it practically fell off the bone, and the mango sauce worked really well with it. The Dungeness and Rock Crab Mac and Cheese came out piping hot in a clay pot, which I loved. I was hoping for a little more crab, but it was still enjoyable. The Wild Alaska Black Cod had a beautifully crispy skin, but flavor-wise this was probably the one dish that fell a little short for me. The sausage that came with it had a nice spice, but I did not feel like it paired particularly well with the cod. A couple smaller notes. The sticky rice with the chicken was softer and mushier than what I usually expect from sticky rice. The brussels sprouts had a nice garlicky flavor with a slight kick, but were a little softer than I personally prefer. Service was a little mixed. Our waiter did provide some good recommendations, but the warmth and attentiveness felt inconsistent depending on who at our table was asking. I also asked for an iced espresso with milk and got a comment about them not being Starbucks, which felt a little unnecessary. On the positive side, food came out quickly, and I appreciated that they cleared and reset the table between courses, which made the meal feel elevated. To end the night, they treated our birthday girl to a complimentary dessert and let us choose anything from the dessert menu. We went with the carrot cake and pistachio ice cream, and it was the perfect ending. The cake was moist, sweet, and paired really well with the ice cream. Overall, between the views, the ambiance, several standout dishes, and thoughtful touches throughout the meal, this is definitely a spot I would come back to for a date night or special occasion.

Came to Aerlume for a celebratory dinner and had a window view to overlook the water and I was amazed at how beautiful this restaurant is. Service is outstanding, and I ordered crab cake appetizer and got a seasonal King Salmon entree which was spectacular. Great location, great views, and great memories. I will definitely come back again!

Came here for our 10 year engagement anniversary and siiiiiggghhh I love this place. The restaurant is just beautiful with a gorgeous view, we were here just at sunset which just added to the prettiness. They placed red petals on our table with a sweet little card. The service is always so very attentive as well with just the perfect balance of privacy for our dinner. So let's talk food SAGANAKI CHEESE PLATE 5/5 this was a beautiful dish the cheese had a great crispy exterior and the chili sauce that came with delicious SEARED SEA SCALLOPS 5/5 I couldn't resist ordering this again and boy it was hard deciding between this and the lamb carbonara but it won out in the end. Perfectly cooked, I probably would say the first time I had it it came with fried sweet potato versus the roasted roots the prior of which I preferred, otherwise it was delicious GRILLED KING SALMON 5/5 my husband loved this dish, the skin was super crispy without over cooking the salmon. DUNGENESS & ROCK CRAB MAC & CHEESE 5/5 listen just get this, don't even question it. It's decadent and creamy and tasty.... Just... trust me GARLIC CHILI OIL BRUSSELS SPROUTS 5/5 don't you just love a really good veggie side that has its own kick, this thing was delicious with the perfect amount of heat I would 100000% recommend this place, especially for a special occasion BUT they also have a happy hour, go have fun my peeps

It's been a while since I went somewhere with truly excellent service. Everyone from beginning to end, was truly emanating happiness and pleasure towards each other and the guests. It felt lovely! I frequently go to the market, to people watch, find new bites, enjoy happy hour, you know, just to relax. I happened to see a gentleman placing an Open sign in front of a hidden away, but pretty looking bar. It piqued my interest and I wanted to find out, was it a bar? A hotel lobby? A restaurant? It's very easy to walk past. Turns out, they have the hospitality and great food and an even better bar menu. Lots of fun options for cocktails, mocktails, and zero-proof to delight all tastebuds. Food wise: We enjoyed the Crab Cakes, which came with a nice mayo based sauce, pickled red onion, and arugula to cut through the richness. SO good! We also indulged in the Octopus, which was the most tender and flavorful we have yet to find in Seattle! There was good char and the same mayo but very flavorful sauce as the crab cake. I think in that regard, the crab cake could use an additional sauce on the opposite side to liven it up a touch. Maybe a jelly somethin-somethin? Finally, since bread was on the menu, we had to check it out. It was really well done sourdough and a darker wheaty/rye (can't remember, sorry!) and it came with a cranberry fig butter, that I assumed was seasonal and likely to change in the warmer months. I could be wrong and wouldn't be mad if they kept it year round. They also have a great happy hour that I looked forward to checking out. It's a beautiful spot, and even better to find out they're apart of the El Gaucho family! I always want to make my way back to Aqua or El Gaucho, and honestly just don't make the time. This is a convenient stop for me as I mosey along at the Market a couple times a month, so I am really glad I found this gem of a spot! I met with the General Manager, Scotty, and he seems like a standout guy! Pablo was great and very much wanted us to enjoy our time at Aerlume, and Matt rounded out the entire stop with outstanding service. Just great timing, recommendations and conversation. Keep it up, Aerlume! I hope to see you hanging out with that gorgeous view for years to come.

BONE MARROW FRIES

Came here on the weekend during happy hour. Their happy hour is from 4-6pm Tuesday to Saturday. We got 3 bites item and 1 dessert item. For the bites, we ordered the crispy fish taco, aerlume burger, and bone marrow fries. I think the food here is just alrighty, it's not bad and it's not that great. The crispy fish taco was crunchy and a little sour, fish was okay, flavor was decent. The aerlume burger is very mediocre, it just taste like something homemade. Bone marrow fries is like regular fries, I don't taste any bone marrow. I do like their dessert, we got the carrot cake, it was delicious and the pistachio ice cream that came with it pairs very well with the cake. Cake is not too sweet, big portion, can be shared with 2-3 people. Overall, I think food is just okay. Nothing too impressive that I would come back to. I do have to say that their customer service and ambiance is excellent. Staff are very friendly and the location is beautiful.

Yum! Went for partner's birthday with a reservation and they seated us at a water facing table which was awesome! We got the crab cake, octopus, chicken, scallops, cauliflower, and pina colada. Everything was great! The scallops and octopus were nice and tender. All of the sauces and garnishes complimented each dish super well. The must try here is definitely the octopus. Great customer service and vibes. Perfect for a special occasion.

Had a lovely happy hour here! I sat at the bar and Carissa took great care of me. Most notable is her making sure I saw that the tip of 20% was already included in the bill at the end of my meal. She was so nice about it, I left more. You can sorta see the water from the bar And the overall feel of the place was vibrant. I came for the happy hour and it did not disappoint. Tacos and a manhattan for the win. Met lovely people and would come back.

The perfect place for date night, special occasion, or just because, Aerlume is the place to be! Everything we had was incredible but what blew me away was their GLUTEN FREE Buttermilk Fried Chicken!! If they hadn't mentioned it was GF I never would have known. It's served with a house-made mole sauce that pairs well with the chicken, and Spanish rice. We also ordered the Heritage Berkshire Farms Pork Shank which literally fell off the bone and is a fan favorite for their fall menu. Our server, Maya, was unforgettable. We ordered almost everything she recommended for us, and she was so incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome!!

We came in to celebrate our anniversary on Friday. Early during the day I received a call from the restaurant asking for my partners name. When we sat down they had put a card with both our names to wish us a happy anniversary. The table had both chairs facing the amazing view of the Puget Sound. You could watch ferries leaving and coming back. I noticed it was quite warm in there not sure if that was the windows or not, but it didn't both us too much! Our waiter was very personable and helpful. He was attentive and helped answer any questions we had. Most of the menu is gluten free which is a huge plus for me! We had the poke to start, it was very refreshing and the waiter mixed it at the table. This was a highlight! We enjoyed the wasabi based sauce, it was quite a bit lighter than other wasabi I've had. We then ordered the scallops, black cod, dungeness mac and cheese, and the brussel sprouts. The scallops were just okay the actual scallops lacked a bit of flavor, but they were cooked perfectly! The black cod was definitely the highlight of the entrees. I loved the crispy skin and sauce served. The dungeness mac and cheese could be made gluten free and it was fantastic. It wasn't too rice just the right amount of sauce and crab. The brussel sprouts were really good, flash fried and then covered with chili oil. I wish there was a bit more sodium on this one. Other than a few moments that I thought fell short, everything else was amazing and I would definitely come back!

I want to start off by saying we had excellent service from our server and our food was pretty good as well. However, everything crashed when we received our check and realized this restaurant ownership group is one that tips themselves an additional 20% of your bill simply for allowing you to dine via a "service charge" and doesn't share a dime of that forced gratuity with their waitstaff, pushing us into the moral conundrum of providing double gratuity (one for them without your consent, and one with consent for the individual who actually worked for it), or allowing your server to work for a non-living wage. We might understand this concept for large groups or special events, but we were a party of 2 simply trying to enjoy a nice dinner. In an industry where the consumer already subsidizes your workers, this service charge concept could not be more repugnant. Your greed is as unappetizing as an ill-prepared meal and we will not be back or recommend this to anyone.

Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! He made some useful recommendations as to where I should have my tables and accommodated all of my guests upon entry. During the day of my event, David, who was one of the VIP hosts was so generous to connect with me and allowed me to be first to enter the main floor upon opening. David and my servers, Natalie and Blossom were so respectful and kind - they truly helped make my special celebration a memorable one. I'm so happy to see the successes and growth of Vue since they've opened in 2018. Their security team was also very kind! Steve who has been there for years, I believe, introduced himself to me and then there was another sir who saw that I was standing on a stool to record an performance and he later came by to carefully help me down without ask. Vue brings to life an artistic concept for nightlife that is inclusive of all communities. Their 4 different rooms and main floor creates space for every kind of guest. Whether you are looking to be near the crowd or to break away in the back, they have tables you can book to fit your very need. I appreciated their various table packages as it is inclusive of minimums and gratuity with tax later being added on at the end of the night. They make the booking experience very easy. I will say they tend to have a later start where it peaks around 11:30p. Other than that, I highlight recommend Vue Lounge - their team is a great example of what it means to treat their guests with respect so that everyone has a fun time.

Younger crowd. looks like maybe 18+. kind of confusing, how to get any out of the place?read more

We had a mix of classic breakfast foods like omelettes, french toast and benedict- but our personal fave was the salmon benedict as well as the banana foster french toast!! I have to say, the food was pretty good- nothing super out of the ordinary, but the service is what blew us away. The wait staff was extremely professional, prompt & friendly. Our favorite server was Alexis, he made every breakfast feel like we were having one at home with a friend. The manager, hosts & servers were all amazing people who genuinely just want you to have a good meal. I really admire any restaurant that can truly make it feel like home. Thanks to Shaker + Spear for being amazing for our trip in Washington- will 100% be back!!

Nice and easy restaurant attached to a hotel. Service was rather slow this evening as there was…read moreonly one cook in the kitchen. It's nice to watch the staff cook because it tells you that the food is fresh. I have high expectations for seafood in Seattle. However, I was disappointed with the scallops as it tasted raw and cool to the touch in the center. I'm not a scallop expert but this one missed the mark - the flavors were off with the sauce (tasted earthy). Presentation and color looked good, but this didn't taste good. Also came here breakfast several times. I don't have pictures, but each time the breakfast was amazing!
