I randomly came across Danish Village Bakery and found a tub of assorted cookies for around $20. The lady working inside helped me right away and answered my questions about which items were the most popular and whether the cookies were freshly made. She was friendly and made the visit quick and easy. You can buy Danish cookies at regular grocery stores, but these tasted completely different. They were softer, fresher, and had that rich, buttery flavor that packaged cookies are usually missing. They were even better than the airport cookies I remembered! The bakery itself had a cute, homey, old-fashioned atmosphere, and there was plenty of free parking nearby. I'm really glad I stopped in because the cookies ended up being one of my favorite treats from the trip. I would definitely return for another tub the next time I'm in town.

I then went to check out their back area and oh my they had quite an assortment of Dutch licorice, I was in heaven! The brand I am used to I am saving for later as I know what it tastes like. The new brand I got is a bit more sweet than I like but I still like it and it was good I tried it. This is a great shop if youre looking for Dutch style licorice. They also have plenty of award winning chocolates too and a lot of people showed up after I entered and all ordering their chocolates.
