Next time you need a phlebotomist, Mandy at the Lucerne Facility is the ticket. Okay, to have your blood drawn is rarely an event one looks forward to, but I'm about to change my expectations due to my past three experiences with this facility . I go in at 7:45 (no appointment made or needed) and as I said, this is my third time - I have NO wait. This is a small office too but gee, I look around and realize I'm "it" again! Mandy is friendly and handles the paperwork. She then offers her polished phlebotomy skills that are spot on, NO prick, no sweat. Her needle feels like a clover leaf brushing on your arm. Yeah, damn fine fine needles, as needle hardware and manipulation go. I love it. Well, okay, only because I have to do it once a year. That other "Quest" place, has always been a crazy waiting room zoo, parking challenge, late for their own appt. times and one eye closed hit-or-miss on the phlebotomy skills. Now that YELP, is from +15 years of upsets. This location is a bit hard to find cause the entrance door is located in the back of the building. Oh, plenty of parking too. read more

Taking the easy way out. So I had an unusual lab order and called AdventHealth Office to make sure the Lucern lad could handle the order. I spoke to a representative the day before and read through the lab order with them. They assured me the Lucern office could handle the order. Next day I show up at the Lucern lab, hand them my lab order and immediately there is a puzzled look on the receptionist. I tell her I called their main office the day before and they assured me the Lucern lab could handle the order. She calls the main office and her conversation from the start was negative and slanted towards sending me somewhere else. Not, how can I take care of this guy down here and help a client out. A client who took all the right steps but AdventHealth made a mistake and gave wrong assurance. So I was directed to go to their main lab. I explained the whole scenario to them and asked that I be bumped to the front of the line as my original appointment was at 8:45. Now an hour later I am still sitting in their wait room. Obviously not bumped to front of line for my inconvenience. Truly no care for the client here. I have to agree with the other reviewer, Mark C. This is my go to Lab. I can stop in on my way to work with little to no wait time. The environment is nice and stress free. The tech is exceptional! I always have the same one, but I'm sorry to say I'm not sure of her name. It's probably Mandy, as Mark said. She does the paperwork, draws the blood and I believe she is the one performing most of the tests in the lab too. The lab is right there. Most tests don't need to be sent offsite. The only exception being one time when my doctor ordered extensive testing. Some if it couldn't be performed there. She recommended I go to the Lab at Florida Hospital that time. The lab at Florida Hospital was very good too, but I had to deal with a parking garage and elevators and quite a wait. It's just so much easier and nicer to go to this lab on Lucerne Terrace which is located in the same building as my Primary Care Physician. Way better than going to Lab Corp or Quest! read more
