Disclaimer: not an actual patient's parent, I am the patient's aunt (my sister doesn't use Yelp). My nephew has been coming to Advantes for a good amount of months through the SGPRC and while he has made vast improvement with Ms Belinda, some concerning issues have arisen within the past few months. First off, Advantes sends text reminders a couple days in advance for the child's next session and out of the last 5 my sister has received, 3 have had wrong information: wrong appt time, wrong date or day, wrong office listed. So back to back she'll receive appt reminders and then another text saying "my apologies..." and then the correction. Not a big deal, just slightly annoying and would help if the office staff checked messages before sending out. Secondly, the office staff is very persistent when trying to reach out to parents, practically to the point of harassing the parent. My sister works and my nephew has other appts throughout the week PLUS my niece's schedule. When attempting to fill an empty spot, Devin (front office worker) called my sister, left a voicemail, sent a text, and sent an email all within 30 mins to see if my sister could bring my nephew in to fill a vacancy on the schedule the same day within a few hours! While my sister appreciated the diligence, she felt harassed and to add a cherry on top: she was at work and couldn't respond to any of the message, which led to more being sent. The other office staff knows my sister's availability so they usually don't blow her phone up for a session time that she can't even bring my nephew to bc she's at work so maybe Advantes needs to teach their newer office staff to check patient availability first. Finally, my sister has reported in the past few weeks that while waiting in the waiting room with my nephew before his session, she has seen Amanda (practice owner) interacting with new employees in a dissatisfactory way. These girls are new (my sister has only seen them a few weeks now) and in my sister's words: "Amanda seems to be harassing them over everything". My sister says Amanda will burst into the front desk area, bark out a question about scheduling or insurance, and then critique whatever answer the new girls say. Last week, my sister remembers seeing one of the girls visibly cringe when Amanda began berating her over not having a scheduling issue resolved within 2 minutes. It is completely unprofessional to treat employees like that, especially in front of a waiting room with parents who can hear this ! This not the first issue my sister has had with Ms Amanda (to be blunt: she's not a fan of how rushed and frazzled she seems to be, plus when my sister asked Ms Amanda a question a couple months ago, she was brushed off and told to call the regional center). If it weren't for Ms Belinda, my sister would have found a new Speech Clinic and even now she is looking into other clinics in the Chino and surrounding areas to take my nephew to when his authorization is up. read more
