In April 2020, I had a pre-mature baby and was referred to WeeFun by the Pomona Regional Center. Fiona came to my house a week after my son was discharged from the NICU and she was a Godsend to my husband and I. We were first time parents during COVID and did not have a village to support us in taking care of our newborn. Fiona referred me to a lactation nurse that was so supportive and provided detailed guidance on breastfeeding. Fiona worked on my son's torticollis and feeding issues in the beginning. As he got older, her therapists worked on his fine and gross motor skills. My son loved playing with Fiona and all the WeeFun therapists and graduated from the Regional Center last month when he turned 3. My son is a very happy, energetic, smart, animated, thriving toddler and we attribute his growth to WeeFun and the love, compassion, patience and care that they gave him. My child is diagnosed with overall developmental delays. She started recieving occupational and speech therapy through Regional Center at 18 months. At aged 3, she had an occupational therapy evaluation for an IEP (Individualized Education Program) meeting with our school district. When we were searching for the right candidate to do the evaluation, my child's former occupational therapist reccomended Fiona Rea, the Director at Weeefun. We were fortunate to pick Fiona to perform the IEE (Independent Educational Evaluation) of my child. She completed a detailed report to address all of my child's issues. She attended the IEP meeting and stood up against the school board when they told me my child did not qualify for services. She loves working with kids and goes out of her way to create a safe play envirnoment during each session. Fiona gave me a lot of tips for how to improve my child's self-help, fine motor and gross motor skills at home. Fiona has set up all kinds of equipment throughout her clinic so she can take kids through several obstacles in each session . Fiona treats parents and children with respect and gives you positive feedback on what you can do to help your child. She also suggested several inexpensive tools that you can find on Amazon to train at home. Finding the right evaluator for an occupational therapy evaluation is a long process. Parents who have concerns about their child's development should be honest and open so that they addess these issues while they are young. I would recommend Weeefun for any kid that needs guidance on occupational therapy related matters. I hate that I'm resorting to this but I've been told social media will reach out to people. As a parent I feel like other parents should know what they are getting especially if it involves their children. Bottom line, this place is awful. The director does not care about quality of therapy. You can tell because the therapists are poorly trained and do not know how to care for children with special needs. They just play and when you ask specific questions, they can never answer it. The therapists have no idea what they are doing and it's so obvious. I feel so lost. I hate this place. I don't know how there are positive reviews. As a parent I feel so blinded by what I should and should not do. Service coordinators also don't seem to care. They send you wherever therapy is available. This place advertises physical therapy and speech but they have neither and I've asked for both. Isn't this false advertisement? I urge parents to speak up because this is your child. Don't go to this place if you have the option. I'm going to do my own research and get out of here. Very ignorant therapists. Very bad owner. And always infested with roaches. Isn't this a health issue??? There was a mom there that told me she has seen roaches for over two years now! Side note, the owner says you have to have students or something. The students have no idea what they are doing too and I refuse to have them treat my child. These students supposedly come from big name schools too. But can you blame them? Bad teacher. Bad student. Think twice about going here. Fiona and her staff are both caring and creative in their care. They know my son personally and know how to encourage and stretch him. They have invested in our family and have helped my son achieve more than most had ever anticipated of him. If you have special needs children as I have then you must check out this wonderfully run place. Fiona is the proprietor and she is super friendly with kids she works here. The kids along with their parents are treated with respect, professionalism, and above all in a very friendly manner by everyone employed. In additional to therapy, there are fun activities that you can sign up for minimal cost. These activities are great for children with limited social skills as well as those require a little more attention. The classes are always small and well run. My child has been going to Weeefun for several years, and before I talk about anything and everything that is unethical/ wrong with this clinic, I want to mention that all therapists are so caring and willing to do whatever needs to be done to help your child. They give a lot of thought when planning your child's treatment. I really thank them for that (Ellen, Grace, Marian, Christine). They were the reasons why I chose to continue treatment for my child through Weeefun. Here is why I think this clinic gets 1 star: the director of the clinic Fiona does not care that her clinic is filled with cockroaches or who knows what is in the clinic. She will do anything she can to cover up this health violation to keep her clinic open, which violates a therapist's responsibility to keep the client safe from infection, disease, and harm. If you are the owner of a practice that you are aware has EXCESS cockroaches, rat droppings, or other insect infestations, you MUST close down the clinic and allow the city to perform an inspection so it is safe for your clients to be treated. 99% of the time I was there waiting for my child, I saw 3+ cockroaches and noticed rat droppings. I notified the director and she failed to contact the city. Really think wisely before you choose this clinic. Until the owner decides to change her ways, your child may be in danger. read more

This is as good as it gets. Experienced, caring and creative therapist. My son looks forward to his therapy sessions and likes it so much he signs up for other Saturday activities like yoga and kick boxing. The Director Fiona goes out of her way to understand the individual needs/likes and incorporates them into the training. For example my son Christopher loves Country Music and she has the therapist play it for him during his session. It might seem minor to some but Christopher loves it and does not mind working harder. When I told the Director I wanted to get his room set up to create more independence she not only encouraged it but she also came out to our home to made recommendations for him. As a parent blessed with two special needs children, I was referred to Weee Fun by the Regional Center for Occupational Therapy and we are grateful for all of their help. They are the best in what they do. Both of my kids with different needs have received excellent services here and are thriving. My oldest has Autism and my youngest has Down Syndrome and I wouldn't imagine taking them to a different provider. They are very accommodating and nice. I recommend Fiona, Gigi, and the other therapists they work with. That being said, both my husband and I worked with children with special needs years before becoming parents to these precious boys. We worked with other therapists both in clinics and in the school districts, so we have seen our share of therapists. Fiona and her team are by far one of the best out there. Weeefun is a wonderful place! As other reviewers have said the owner, Fiona, is incredibly friendly, inviting, kind and just wonderful. She has a great philosophy about her center. When I asked her why we should choose Weeefun over another provider, her response said everything. She said that she's never going to get rich because her mission is to provide a space for kids who need help to grow and achieve and gain skills and confidence at a rate that is affordable for their families. And she walks the walk. In addition, she is a fountain of information and resources. When I email with a question, she writes back with lots of ideas and practical information for where to buy products or how to come up with something similar on my own in a cost-effective way. And she often has a kind or insightful word for parents who sometimes show up for appointments bedraggled and weary. She knows that being a caregiver is draining. In a word, she's incredible. Marian Wu, an occupational therapist, is just top notch. She comes up with innovative and helpful ideas all the time. I swear her brain never stops working. Before we even get to the next task, she's thinking ahead. Every minute of our hour is used productively. And we're so grateful for the results we're seeing.
