I've been on a waitlist for an afternoon appointment since June. No follow up. I've given up and just kept my regular schedule. 2. They have an automated text reminder. 3 times I received it and emailed them to confirm because the therapist told me she'd be out that day. Once I showed up and was told their new therapist doesn't start until a week later. Despite me getting the reminder from them. 3. I called for a day of the week change and was told they need to confirm the therapist availability and that they'll call me back once it's confirmed. I never got that call. 4. I had some problems with FSA where their receipts aren't accepted and they told me they would change my receipt from ST to say speech therapy. That never happened. Anything schedule related I just settled and work around the day he has. As far as FSA I go in have have them print me a detailed itemized receipt. Overall if you need something done and they can do it then and there, it'll be done quick. Phones and emails gets answered quickly. And you get a fast response. The problem is with their follow up and follow through. Interesting for a place that teaches speech has poor communication themselves.

Yesterday was his Birthday & when we came to visit him they had Birthday Balloons for him at his bedside. I go everyday to see him, I bring him his LATimes News Paper and it's nice because the facility is only a few blocks from our home. Everyone who works there is Fantastic & Amazing. They know my Brother by name. It's sad to see some of the bad reviews online. I have seen with my own eyes "Everyday" when I go there. This Facility is great. We Thank God for each person that works there. They show love, compassion & outstanding quility of care for everyone who lives there. We Pray my Brother will gain his mobility back so he can come home. He had 2 strokes earlier this year in March & in June. We are grateful for the Physical Therapy Dept. that has encouraged & helped my brother learn & gain some of his mobility back day by day at this Facility. His clothes would also be soiled, and staff often would not change him until a family member specifically told them to. Almost every time I visited, the hallway floor where his room was located smelled strongly like feces as soon as I got off the elevator. I hoped it was not coming from him, but as I got closer to his room, the smell would get worse and it often was him left unchanged. No patient should be left like that for hours. Many patients were left in bed all day everyday with little to no activity or engagement. Our experience was heartbreaking and I would not recommend this facility based on how my loved one was cared for.

She asked what happened and he said he hates the way he talks. When my wife asked the babysitter what happened, she said she couldn't understand him and she tried to correct him and he broke down. We don't know exactly what happened, but my little guy didn't want to talk at school anymore. We spoke to his doctor and the school and both recommended speech therapy. The school couldn't accommodate us so we went through Kaiser and we got approval here at DG. It's been 3 weeks now and my son is doing great! He speaks more clearly and, most importantly, he feels better about himself and he speaks up at school and even gave the welcome address at our church! The therapist he works with, Joanna, is super patient and kind and my son just loves her. He looks forward to his weekly therapy and is excited with his progress. They're located on the second floor of a plain looking building. There's lots of parking but the access is only on the north side of the street, so if you're going south, you'll have to find a place to make a U-turn. Getting out of here sucks, too, because you can only turn right, and there's no U-turn allowed at the light, so it's turn on a side street and get back on to Sunset. It's a medical building, so you still have to wear a mask, so be on notice. However, physical location aside, this place is really great. I've seen some special needs kids in here and they always leave with a smile. You can tell the staff here really enjoy their work and seeing the progress of the kids. My 4 year old is waiting for his authorization for OT and when he gets it, we're coming here. In fact, they're already saving a place form him on the same day as my other son. Nice!

I am able to communicate with our therapist instantly and Mariah and Vedali are quick and responsive to my children's needs. Mariah works with my son and every time he reaches his goal she provides new evaluations and appropriate individualized treatment plans for my son. Also, after every session Mariah summarizes and provides examples of my son's improvement (with data) and offers recommendations for continued growth. Mariah has also provided me with school material and collaborated with me to offer recommendations to my children's Pre School teachers. Vedali works with my daughter and I can tell that my daughter loves her speech sessions bc she is always excited about her meetings. Vedali has implemented my daughters IEP report and Kaiser's assessment to her treatment plan at DV Therapy. Like Mariah, Vedali meets with me after every session and provides me with a summary of my daughters growth and tips to continue empowering my daughters speech deficits. But they could never keep an OT aide at there West Covina office for very long. I think in the 2 years we were there he went through 3 OT aides. But there was always a billing issue with my insurance. And it always created a bigger issue. They would always charge me for the most recent session before the EOB was even cleared. At one point I had to keep track of my deductible and what they were charging. And in the end they had to reimburse me about 120 dollars for over charges. Then I noticed that I was getting EOB under my name for the services and not my son's name. And since I owed to much money they decided to put my sons services on hold. After that we did not go back to the clinic it was super frustrating.
